Radical Islam is not the Problem

or

Denial is a River that Runs through the White House.

Today the White House made a growing list of statements following the Murders at Charlie Hebdo in Paris, and continued to refuse to name Radical Islam as the root of the terrorist acts.

Did I miss something?

Have we witnessed 30-years of Radical Capitalists or Constitutional Loyalists bombing and beheading innocent civilians?

If so would someone please list these events for me in the comments section?

If I recall, the First Step is to Admit you have a problem.  You can’t get to the other 11 without completing the First One.

This supposedly Enlightened, Superior approach of Silent Lucidiocy is doing nothing but enabling the Islamo-Fascists to kill an ever-increasing number of people.  While the Governing Ideology of the day would love to find Terrorists in those that believe Constitutionally Limited Government and Fiscal Responsibility are Good Ideas… but those folks thinking such ‘nonsense’ are not Killing People.

Call it what it is.

Those Muslim’s that take offense are Free to Join us in combating this overt Terror Threat.

I’m open to changing my mind… but only with New Information.

Don’t Quarantine Me Bro!

A Medical Worker has been released from observation prior to the recognized Ebola incubation period after returning from West Africa.

Ms. Hickcox came back from West Africa and was quarantined for 7 days. During that period of time she secured a Lawyer.

The incubation period (as far as we can tell) for Ebola is currently at 21 days.

Ms. Hickcox has been released from the quarantine and ask politely to quarantine herself voluntarily at Home in Maine.

The White House believes this is the correct way to proceed.
The CDC, read White House, believes this is the correct way to proceed.

While Ms. Hickcox has said openly that she may, or may not, have Ebola… her treatment is uncalled for.

Clearly Nurse Hickcox believes the idea of quarantine for a disease that does not present for 21 days is inhumane… as she has stated.

And, She along with her lawyers promise to sue.

I would be lying if I said I was surprised…

However, isn’t her admission that she ‘may or may not’ have the disease exactly the reason for the quarantine?

I will ask all of you…

Is the inconvenience of an extra 14 days too much to ask if it saves the life of a single child?

Is the expectation that we treat rapidly fatal diseases for which we have no cure with extreme caution unreasonable if it could save the lives of our children?

Wouldn’t you expect Medical Personnel to ‘Do No Harm’ and err on the side of such caution?

And finally…

Wouldn’t you expect the White House to agree with such wisdom until we can get a better handle on a rapidly fatal disease… if not for us, for the children?

We have all heard this appeal for decades.  It has been used ad nauseam.

And yet, where are the hand wringing, bleeding heart, Liberal Leftists with their concern?

Are they too occupied with the latest, fresh from Latin America, killer of children called the Enterovirus D68?  Nope… not there either.

Is the Press voicing their concerns for the children?  Nope.

How about our President and his party who care about everything more than we do?  Nope.

So I guess “Equal Opportunity” now only applies to Deadly Communicable Diseases.

If not in America, then Where can a Killer Microbe get a Fair Shake?

Injunction Junction what’s Your Function?

I sense Genuine Fear in the Administration’s, and more importantly The President’s, opposition to Boehner’s stupid law suit.

Why?  It’s laughable…

Then it dawned on me…

It’s the Injunction Function.

Temporary Injunction n. a court order prohibiting an action by a party to a lawsuit until there has been a trial or other court action. A temporary injunction differs from a “temporary restraining order” which is a short-term, stop-gap injunction issued pending a hearing, at which time a temporary injunction may be ordered to be in force until trial. The purpose of a temporary injunction is to maintain the status quo and prevent irreparable damage or change before the legal questions are determined.

The courts are extremely important to the Left in forcing it’s ideas upon us.  Friendly Liberal judges are the backbone of Socialism because they can, and do, issue injunctions restricting our Freedoms and enforcing regulations from Federal Government issued by fiat from the likes of the EPA.

Uh Oh.

The White House is afraid the courts will issue injunctions keeping the President from governing by Fiat.  While an order from the court would not physically stop the President from doing what he is doing, it would cause a battle which might weaken the court’s power to enforce such orders.  And the Progressives do not want that battle.  That power is far too important to them.

In the End, the fear of Boehner’s Stupid Lawsuit is not so much that he could ‘win’ as it could seriously slow down the momentum Obama has enjoyed to date.

Compound that with the fact the courts have ruled against Unlimited Executive Power as of late and the Book Makers might have some odd’s to work with giving this a possibility of success.

May be, just may be this suit isn’t so stupid.

My only concern is if this action becomes successful, even marginally, the Republicans will do everything they can to give up and drop it.  (Please excuse this cynicism which has been built on experience.)

We’ll see.

White House is Infested!

But vermin is nothing new in a building that is 213 years old–and roaches aren’t the worst of it.

The National Journal story goes on to outline the extent of the infestation problem.

But I challenge anyone to offer up a truer line ever typed…

Hubris

(A re-post from 052813 in light of a renewed effort by the current Administration to accuse us of creating “PHONY SCANDALS”.)

 

Like a small flash it hit me after reading this quote from a DNC fundraising email:

“They’ve (Republicans) been caught red-handed making up so-called ‘scandals’ out of thin air to stir up false rumors of vast ‘cover-ups’ happening in the White House,”  Full story here.

First, let’s address the substance of this statement by listing what must be “made up out of thin air”…

This is what really happened, AKA the Truth, according to the DNC:

A U.S. Diplomat and three security personnel, two of whom did not fly to the rescue by stealing an airplane, were not killed on Sept. 11, 2012 by Al Qaeda militants.

The State Department, for some inexplicable reason, did not blame the event on a you tube video that 19 people viewed prior to the non-existent attack by random folks living in Benghazi.

The Administration did not register the 11 other Benghazi victims under pseudonym’s when they were admitted to various hospitals for the injuries they did not receive during the non-attack.

The Internal Revenue Service did not admit targeting Conservative groups, who are perceived by the current Administration as opposition, for additional scrutiny.

One of those running things at the IRS did not plead the fifth in order to not incriminate herself.

The Department of Justice did not secure the phone records for 100 Associated Press reporters, which did not include ancillary business and personal phone numbers.

The Department of Justice did not secure months of e-mail, which included addresses for his contacts, from a FOX News reporter without his knowledge or agreement.

These ridiculous non-facts are just more of the same from the Republican Party…. stop reading here and send the Democrat National Committee your money now.

Or, keep reading a little longer.

The small flash I mentioned earlier was a word…  Hubris.

Hubris /ˈhjuːbrɪs/, also hybris, from ancient Greek ὕβρις, means extreme pride or arrogance. Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one’s own competence or capabilities, especially when the person exhibiting it is in a position of power.  Full definition here.

Taking a short trip down memory lane, I recall the second year of President Obama’s first term.  At the beginning of that year he was being roundly criticized for appearing on television with unfettered frequency never before matched by any sitting president.  By the end of that year his party had lost the control of the House to the Republicans.  This happened to the dismay of those who predicted victory based on the turnout from his huge 6-point win 24-months prior.

I remember his demeanor being one of shock… for several months he seemed sullen and in a state of disbelief given such results.  I’m not sure he’s been quite the same since.

But, Barack Obama genuinely believed his victory over one of the oldest, “whitest”, most “war-mongering”, least Republican candidates in 2008 was not because he was a young, articulate, African-American… he believed it was because he had a mandate for his Socialist Ideas.  He actually thought the voters were listening to the meaning of his words… not just enjoying the beat, and hopped up on the desire to feel like their lives mean something… historic.

If you take a moment and slip on his size 12’s, you could understand this.  It’s undeniable, He spelled out his plan in “Blue Print for America”, his books, his speeches and with the people he surrounded himself with.  He was not keeping his Socialist values a secret… just ask Joe the Plumber.  Frankly, just ask any of us who were screaming at the top of our lungs exactly because we DID read his Blue Print, speeches and books.

President Barack Obama believed, and still believes, that the masses agree with him.  To him, The Ends of Social Justice… being Equality of Outcome with Government at the Center of every Solution… is justified by the Means of having the U.S. kneel before the world while using Government Force to destroy any Opposition to the Socialist Utopia.

I suggest the reason we are seeing all of these “non-existent” scandals come to light is a brilliant by-product of our founding Fathers Constitutional design.  This type of malfeasance will always surface in a transitional government.  When individuals within ones own party are interested in securing power for themselves, and your time is up… as mandated by law, anything you’ve been doing is up for review.  When I say anything, I mean trampling on the First, Second and Fourth Amendments.  It has to scream for Pepto-Bismol when the Benghazi Whistleblowers are all Democrats… who then are testifying that we (the U.S.) could have sent assistance which might have resulted in saving the lives… of a Democrat Ambassador and his Democrat security personnel.

It also has to cause his ulcer to bleed when his fellow Democrats join the chorus of those demanding investigations of the IRS for political targeting.

Finally, he and his Administration must be suffering from Elitist Arrogance when they start using the Countries Security Services to investigate the Press for doing their job… well, at least when the Press are doing the part of their job which the Administration finds disagreeable.  The Press… the one ally the Leftists count on.  The enablers of government vice.  (The press giving any oxygen to this is unbelievable.  Talk about biting the hand that feeds you…)

I will state again, nothing is going to cause this President to be Impeached.  It will not happen.  And he knows it.

I don’t care if Congress finds out this Administration was selling missiles to Syrian Rebels associated with Al Qaeda.  I don’t care if they find out the IRS was coordinating their efforts to oppress Conservative Opposition with the FBI, DHS and OSHA.  I don’t care if they find out transcripts exist of the AP reporters personal calls to their spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, etc. which are being passed around DOJ for laughs.  And, I don’t care if we discover that help was truly available to be sent to Benghazi but was told to stand down because it might appear to be too “American”, or as the Leftists put it too “Militaristic”, which we also find out was the same reason they were there without the appropriate security in the first place.  I don’t even care if they find out the President is sleeping with Valerie Jarret and Susan Rice, at the same time, then lied about it under oath in order to escape a sexual harassment lawsuit based on law he directly championed.

Only an extremely over blown sense of competency, arrogance and undeserved righteousness could fuel such behavior.

However, none of this matters.  We have 3 1/2 more years of this guy and his Fellow Travelers.  That’s just the way it is.

But that doesn’t mean we have to sit by and watch them destroy what little of the Constitution and Bill of Rights which remain intact.

Get ready for the mid-terms.  (Update 112014… we won.  but it might not be enough if we still have no spine.)

It’s possible they believe there are no scandals… Hubris would explain that too.

If you make sh*t up, then write it down… and read it, you might just begin to believe it.  Such is the way of the Leftist.

Could the Liberal Blitzkrieg have encountered a Republican Winter?

It looks like they might be stalled right outside of their Social Utopia.

I tapped out a little ditty a while back regarding the pulling out of all the stops by the Leftists in Government.  I accused the Republicans (most of which I hold in low regard) of doing nothing to stop what was evident to every sober American… as well as me.

What I failed to take into account was the ability for the Progressives to over-reach.  And, over-reach they have.

It looks to me like the Republicans have no choice but to confront what seems to be the Hydrant Blasting abuse of power and Supercilious Subterfuge being conducted by the minions of Socialism.  It appears that all that Community Organizing has been a bit too effective in motivating the Useful Idiots.

Given the scandals at:

The IRS – targeting groups with Constitution and Patriot in their names because they are considered “the opposition” to the Administration.

The DOJ – using the power of government to covertly investigate members of the press while intimidated their sources.

The DOD – and it’s ties to the lack of response, and subsequent cover-up, during the assassination of our Diplomat and his security team in Benghazi.

The CIA – and the moving of missiles into Syria for the Al Qaeda backed rebels, possibly leading to a new “cold” war with Russia.

The BATFE – and the up-arming of Mexican Drug Cartels which led to the deaths of our Border and Immigration agents… not to mention hundreds of innocent Mexican women and children.

And now the EPA…  and a fabricated employee.  – Manti Te’o has nothing on Ms. Lisa Jackson who created a Mr. Richard Windsor in order to avoid scrutiny of her actions and decisions while serving as Head of the Environmental Protection Agency.  While she didn’t seem to relate her most intimate secrets through Mr. Windsor, she certainly expressed how she believed government’s purpose was to punish business.

“The  EPA and Ms. Lisa Jackson, its chief, have committed extensive violations of law  that should receive in-depth scrutiny from Congress, law enforcement and the  American people.  Yes the Obama administration has yet another serious  scandal on their hands.”

The “surprising” revelations show no sign of stopping anytime soon.  And the Republicans are being dragged to the party in a meaningful way by the American people.  (Those damned TEA party types simply won’t go away… who do they think they are teaching folks about the constitution!)

This fall may exceed my greatest expectations in terms of political theater.

The only part of this I find truly amazing is that the Administration is doing nothing to put out any of these inferno’s.  At some point, someone has to get thrown in front of the bus.  Typically it happens sooner than later, because the longer you wait the more of them you have to throw.  But that’s the part I so truly enjoy…

So, I’ll fire up the grill, while Congress is forced by America to fire up the Special Prosecutors.

Nothing says summertime fun like grilling politicians.  (A helpful hint: They taste better if you tenderize them first.)

The Sins of Our Fathers

Without Fail, when a Leftist is pressed to offer up some of the many Sins committed by “Neo-Cons” (Or whatever derogatory label is fashionable among Liberals) they will eventually arrive to our doing business with Tyrants in the Middle East. They will say this illustrates our hypocrisy in believing we should do the “right thing” while clearly not doing so overseas.  (They will throw “oil” in there somewhere… always.  Sometimes randomly between words.)

I agree…

We can no longer tolerate the Sins of Our Fathers.  Because they were clearly all unenlightened, syphilis ridden, ignorant a-holes.

Using the Logic of the Left, I propose one of two solutions to this hypocrisy we so flamboyantly espouse.

First, we can stop doing “the right thing at home”, in fact we should stop even talking about it. We should just shelve Freedom and Liberty of the Individual.  Get rid of Property rights altogether and finally surrender complete control of business to the EPA.  This way we can continue to “not do the right thing” and keep the Middle East destabilized with none of that terribly bothersome hypocrisy which so deeply concerns the Left.

Or…

We could support the current Administrations approach and “do the right thing” by “stabilizing” the Middle East. Don’t worry, they haven’t given up on most of the first solution, but there’s plenty of time.  So, this option would allow us to maintain our lofty speech here at home with absolutely no conflict with our policies in the Middle East.  We will give them Mob Rule by funding Democracy in their respective countries.  We’ll tolerate the destruction of our property and killing of our citizens… all the while apologizing.

So let’s look at these…

The first approach would be the anti-thesis of what the United States stands for and would run opposed to what it’s citizens deserve and should expect, but would keep an enemy sworn to the destruction of the west at bay.  So, who cares?  As long as we’re safe, right?…  The leftists in both parties have tried this for years.  We just don’t seem to go for it.

The second solution would allow a newly “stabilized” enemy to marshal all of its resources on the final defeat of the west and most likely lead to the next world war.  Perfect.  Let’s do this one!

So what’s wrong with the earlier approach taken by those stupid a-holes?

Passing Judgement on the past while offering ridiculous solutions for the future is the purview of sophomores.  But that is what we are being offered by this current Administration.

So… those horrible Halliburton loving war-mongering a-holes knew what they were doing?  May be.

Lest we forget, it is our allegiance to the Individual American Citizen that we must honor. Our only obligation is to sustain the freest country on Earth for all to see, so they can emulate or emigrate. We owe no other state on earth anything that is not beneficial to our Freedom, Liberty and Safety.  Period.

The United States is the most generous nation on Earth. Once upon a time it would not have been debated that it was even the most powerful. Times are changing, and not for the better.

If you ask me… these are the real Sins of Our Fathers. The appeasement of Fabian Socialists and the drip, drip, drip of their Third Way.  It’s time to take the country back from those who wish for a One World Solution and return it to its rightful place of prominence. The exact positioned earned because of the brilliant way we were founded. We must put ourselves back at the front of the line for those who wish to live Free.

Let the rest of the world embrace Free-Market Capitalism and Individual Property Rights.  In my opinion, the Revolution has been headed on the wrong direction for 100 years.  We have allowed the Statists to govern unchecked for far too long and we can go no further.

When presented with the opportunity to strengthen those sworn to your destruction, do you?

When given the chance to duplicate policies that lead to world wars, such as monetary devaluation, do you do that too?

When you’re looking over the edge of the 1000 ft. cliff do you turn around to those behind you and scream “Forward!”?

You do if you’re a Leftist, and you’re in the White House.
