Why I, of all people, am Glad this crappy Health Care Bill did Not Pass.

I’m going to keep this simple.

1. This Bill was not a Repeal of Obama Care.
2. Weasel Leftist Republicans were ready to wash their hands of it claiming they delivered on what we demanded with their Yea vote.
3. There is no option but to do away with, destroy, demolish, crush, this Socialist Keystone completing the take-over of The United States. None. And this didn’t do it.
4. Weasel Republicans in general want to keep their ability to extort money from Insurance Companies in order for those companies to do business in their State. (If you’re unaware of this, it’s extraordinary.  Take a little time to look into it.)  Portability does away with that… as it should.  I’m pretty sure we have something called the Commerce Clause.  But I’m also pretty sure we only employ that to take away your personal liberties.
5. This “Disaster” is really a “Triumph”. Liberal Republicans must be outed, clearly identified, and replaced as quickly as possible… with worn out tools.

This defeat of a crappy bill doing nothing but providing cover for a bunch of Socialists hiding in the Republican Party is extremely valuable. We must now remember who these people are and replace them with fiscally conservative, but most importantly constitutionally originalist, Republicans who understand and embrace the Enlightenment Ideology our Founders crafted this country upon.

We have wandered far from our Founders creation.

Now is time for Big, Bold Moves returning us to the Freest Country on Earth.

That means getting Government Out of the Way and letting us, the free market, deal with it.

In a World of Compromise, some Men Don’t.

We Need Those Men.

When Government interferes with Wages…

…companies go out of business.

The American Institution of McDonald’s in trouble.

Or, they fire everyone and automate.

How does this Liberal idea of ‘a living wage’ actually help anyone?

I’ll help you… Unemployment means NO WAGE.

So, IT DOESN’T.

Unless, of course, you’re a politician who needs a bunch of people (voters) dependent upon you to supply them with their welfare check.

For you, keeping The Poor poor… is BRILLIANT!  Just keep them voting!

Economics IS Politics IS Economics

I’m Smart. I’m Special. I’m Saved.

Why would anyone be opposed to making their own choices in life?

Because making decisions for yourself is lonely… and it leaves you with no one else to blame should something go wrong.

For years I’ve wondered what the resistance was to Free Markets. Once a person has taken the time to understand what voluntary exchange and free-market capitalism really is, how can they not like it? How can an individual not appreciate the power over their own lives and freedom to choose what’s right for them?

Because, while it makes you feel powerful… it doesn’t make you feel powerful enough.

Seems counter-intuitive, I know.

But, if everyone is expected to take care of themselves then what role is left for those who feel they should be making decisions for you?

In other words, if we all take responsibility for ourselves, what work is left for those who want to do the “telling”?  What would “The Deciders” do?

First you must understand who the people are that want to do the “telling” and who are the people who want to be “told”.

These are the same two groups who support the goal of “collective’ rights.

The First group is made up primarily of those people who believe they are smarter than you in every way.

They associate their self-proclaimed omnipotent intelligence to being highly specialized.  They could be a doctor, lawyer or politician. You can even find them working at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

They are found to associate intelligence to geography, such as living in Manhattan, Los Angeles, Vermont, the other side of the railroad tracks, river, etc.

Bear in mind, it does not mean they make particularly good decisions when it comes to their own lives… but that is not a requirement to their self-assigned superiority.

The Second group is a product of our public education system, more or less.

They have been told they are special. In fact they have been taught that there is nothing more important in life than being special, Over and over and over…   And, when you’re “special” you shouldn’t have to do anything.  You should have stuff given to you.  Thus, these people gladly accept what they are “entitled” to.  As long as those who do the “telling” repeat endlessly how wonderful they are, while also giving them other people’s money in the form of government “entitlements”, they will remain placated… and vote accordingly.

So it is not difficult to see how a system of trade and government that does not make them feel this way is so repulsive to them.  It’s easy to see how people like me are a turn off.  Anyone who genuinely promotes self-sufficiency and personal responsibility will find no friends in either group.  While Capitalism gives you supreme power over yourself, your power is small when looking at the world as a whole.  While I would argue this is as it should be… it can be incredibly frightening to many when they realize the Universe doesn’t necessarily need them.

True Capitalism would make the First group feel unimportant… and at the same time depress the Second group.

Unimportant and Depressed…  it sounds like something most of us deal with very early in our lives once we figure out the Universe does not revolve around us.  This should be the healthy maturation process of our species…  yet… we are all contributing tax dollars to keep the paradigm of parent and child alive after the age of majority.

But just when you though it was easy to understand… There is a subgroup which also exists.

A number of people try to be both, and will neglect all aspects of taking care of themselves in order to “help” others so they can feel special.  This behavior is a uniquely destructive phenomenon.  The irony is they have now made themselves a burden on everyone else, thus helping no-one.  This fact misses them entirely.  So much so that if you present them with this truth they will adopt a blank stare.  The rational escapes these folks… helping one person at the expense of two others is not a winning formula.  This group can be the most dangerous… much like a drowning man.  Reason will always escape them.

All three groups genuinely feel we should be Forced to “help” each other… but never Forced to “help” ourselves.

These are the people who subscribe to the Communal theory of government, dividing all of us into permanent classes of the helpers and the helped.

I believe they adopt this point of view, and vote accordingly, because it’s easier than accepting the alternative outlined above.  But there is also a Sinister type of Self-Interest at work.

The First group achieves the Power over others they so crave, the Second Group achieves nothing, but they’re paid for it. The Third group achieves what they believe is Salvation… which, in their minds, elevates them above all others.

(In the end, looking at all of these groups, what is the difference between them and the relationship of the Drug Dealer and the Drug Addicted?  The dynamics are similar in ways we should all find disturbing.)

For the rest of us, all we can do is keep doing our best to meet our needs at our own expense.  We must continue to thrive while trying to drag the above groups along with us into the light of self-reliance.  We must Restore the Stigma that used to be associated with taking other people’s money from the government.  We must be Loud in our disdain.  What choice do we have?

At the same time, we must always resist The Deciders efforts to drag us down into their Social Utopian world of Dependency and Entitlement.

Short Attention Span

I’ve already forgotten:

We’re bankrupt.
We’re printing money, and paying bills with it, because we don’t have any.
We’re playing with the unemployment numbers and the best we can do is call it “crappy” where it was once called “criminal”.
We’ve Socialized Medicine and it’s costing all of us more money than ever before… but Socialism always works, so no problem.
We’ve sent Assault Rifles to Mexican Drug Cartels and it’s OK.
We have a new “unspoken” policy of allowing our Diplomats overseas to be Murdered.
We have completely given up all Rights to Privacy and apparently condone the NSA spying on us.
We believe the IRS should be able to target Americans based on their political beliefs.
We agree that we need a Domestic Military, called DHS, designed to apply force within our borders.
We enjoy being groped at the airport by the individuals who could not qualify to be police officers.
We continue to believe the housing market collapse was caused by “greedy” banks.
We think there are still people starving in the United States while facing an Obesity Epidemic.
We’ve decided that what used to be called welfare is actually an earned benefit.
We think a consensus is an appropriate replacement for the scientific method.

We believe it when our politicians tell us they will do something.

What was I talking about?

Free Pre-School for Everyone

We want you to have lots of kids, we just don’t want you to raise them… or pay for them, but that’s something else.

It takes a Village to raise your children and we are going to provide that Village.

What you really want is a “free” babysitter so you can go off and do whatever you do that’s more important than raising kids, and we’re okay with that because we want lots of new humans that have been raised in a way that supports our world view… and frankly you’re not smart enough, and sometimes not inclined, to do what we expect you to.

We must also create new jobs for Union Teachers lest the mandatory donations to Liberal Politicians dry up.

So… “Free” Pre-School for everyone.  Because you think “free” exists and that’s how we like it.

Merry Christmas or Happy Birthday… or whatever.

155,000,000 Dependants

Or… The 47%.

I’ve scheduled an appointment with my CPA to discuss my 2012 Tax deductions.

I will now be claiming 155,000,000 dependants.

I’m also going to look into writing off their:

Food.

Clothing.

Education.

Transportation.

Medical Expenses.

(And this year… Phones and Homes.)

I’m not entirely sure but I expect I could have some carry-over loss for 2013.

I would also like to claim day-to-day living expenses for my dependants, considering they are all living under my “roof” so to speak,  I don’t think there is a provision for it… but I’m going to check.

Can’t be too careful!

I never want to take tax deductions for anything I don’t deserve, so if I happen to attract the attention of the IRS I’m ready to explain that it is my deepest wish all of my Dependants move out from under my wing and become productive, useful members of our society.  Everyday I try to lead by example and teach them the ways of the world.  Sometimes my youngest ones seem to get it, sometimes they don’t.  I’ve almost given up on my oldest.  But, I only wish for them the best with all of my heart.

The only reason I share this is tax time is just around the corner… and I expect an unusual amount of paperwork could be associated with my taxes this year.

This might be the case for you as well.

But remember, family comes first.  So be sure to take make some quality time with your family for the Holidays.  May be five minutes for each person you provide care for…

That should carry me through the year 9384.

Better get started on both.

So who’s offended by Romney’s remarks?

Romney is now on the public record stating what the majority of us believe.

He has said out loud that there are too many people dependant on drugs… wait, no… my tax dollars. There are too many people who don’t pay any taxes.  And that peace in the Middle East is “unlikely”.
Listening to the media you would think he has lost the election because these remarks were so offensive.
So let’s go down this road…
If in fact someone is offended, who are they?

Nobody I care about offending.

The only constituency I can see that could possibly be offended are those dependant on drugs… sorry… my tax dollars.  These are exactly the people who need to be offended as they should not be allowed to be comfortable in their position.  Frankly, I’m offended that they voted for the Socialist policies that put them in this situation in the first place and then expect me to support them so they can vote for more of the same.

I happen to agree with Mitt, there are too many people who don’t pay taxes.  If you don’t have skin in the game why on earth should you a.) care about anything in regard to spending and b.) vote for anybody who will put your skin in the game?  See the problem here?  We have created a bunch of tax dollar addicts… intentionally.

Regarding the last part of his comments, the ones about “peace being unlikely in the Middle East”, I can think of no one who could be offended by this comment. I can’t think of a single person delusional enough to find offense at this simple statement of reality. Note: He didn’t say impossible… he said unlikely. I probably would have thrown in something along the lines of “a million to one odds…” but I’m a student of history and Romney must not be.  There is no Revelation here… or Reformation for that matter.
So are we really going to eat up some additional time talking about something we all know to be true?
Believe it or not, I’m okay with that. I actually think this works in Romney’s favor. I’m not even factoring in the knee jerk opposition to the Cottage Industry of the Offended that is beginning to manifest itself nation-wide, that’s just a bonus.

In case you haven’t noticed, the Liberals are out of ideas… at least ideas which help them.  They are Certainly out of ideas that they can manufacture in a short 45 days.  Sitting around hoping that Mitt fathers a child out-of-wedlock with a nut-job videographer is not “a plan”.  And, it’s already been done.

Now they are grasping at straws, shooting themselves in the foot, being forced to stand up and say out loud who they really are.  Perfect.  Let’s keep this going for a few weeks.  May be they’ll even start talking about Bain again!
(Fear not Socialists… there is always Hillary.  I can hear it now…”In a time of such global unrest, we cannot afford to turn the reigns of foreign policy over to individuals with little or no experience. The risk is far too high. The consequences far too grave. This is why I have decided to ask Mrs. Clinton to join me at this pivotal moment in global history as my Vice President so we can attempt to ease these extraordinary tensions in the Middle East brought on by decades of neglect and misunderstanding.”)

Come on Barack… I can’t live with Hillary just being asked… You know you want to do it.  Well, you don’t want to do it, but the Clintons want you to do it.  Your voter base wants you to do it.  And I want you to do it just so I can say you’re predictable…

Please don’t be offended.

Stop Apologizing, Fool.

Mitt Romney told the truth. And he is now apologizing for it.

This is, and has been, my problem with Mitt Romney.
When you say something such as “there are people who feel entitled to handouts and do not pay taxes who will vote for President Obama no matter what…”, you are stating a fact. This is not up for debate. It is not an “opinion”. This is the truth.

You should not care who is offended by the truth.
So… you should not apologize. Ever. You don’t even think about it.

Yet, he does and did.

Keep in mind, he has my vote… but he was not my first choice exactly because of situations like this. His ideological foundation that his premises are built upon is questionable at best. I believe Romney will win this election, but he will need to be watched closely throughout his term.  (This reality will also require many “limited government conservatives” to ride his coat-tails into office. The down ticket matters immensely.)

So why does this man need to have a very strong grounding in Limited Government and Free-Markets?

Because if he wins he will have to extricate government interference from the markets and employ simple, predictable tax law so we can figure out how to invest.  He will have to communicate this clearly and often… almost daily.  He will have to communicate at every step.  He will have to understand, genuinely know, that this is what must be done in order to save the U.S. from fiscal collapse.

So what does that mean?

It means that there will be a ton of pain quickly.  Interest rates will need to skyrocket in order to begin undoing the ridiculous amount of newly printed money that has been pushed into the market. There will be at least a full year of ugliness before economic numbers can begin to improve.   Romney will have Socialists screaming “SEE, SEE, SEE, he’s no better!  He’s even WORSE!  And if the Republicans have any desire to retain the House and Senate in 2014 they will have to be prepared for this, starting at the top.  Retaining both houses will be integral to any possible success, this eventuality will force a very accelerated and painful 2013.  But the up-front pain is only the first step of recovery from our addiction to government and the Socialist paradigm.  This will be a decades long process.

So back to my original point… if this guy is apologizing for making a factual statement, where is he going to be when things get hard?  If he can’t stand by the truth, what will he do when the population needs an explanation, and a lot of them, not an apology?

The covert tape of this Boca Raton fundraiser where he states the facts he is now apologizing for should instead be turned into a campaign ad.  It could only add some clarity to a person best described as Mr. Gray Area.

Mitt Romney does not yet know why he thinks what he thinks.  We can not assume he ever will.  We must surround him with people in the House and Senate who do.

His Fear of truth is unacceptable.

Somebody buy this guy a shot.

I’m your fault.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not responsible. Apparently this has been evident to my parents for decades… but I’m kind of slow on the uptake.  Now that I too recognize this, It’s quite liberating. I have recently learned that my behavior is beyond my control and is shaped by everything and everybody around me. Basically I twist in the wind that is life…
If I drink too much it’s because of my bad parents or more often than not, bad parent. If I use drugs it’s because they are available and the oppressive nature of my life drives me to escape. If I can’t hold a job it’s because my employer is greedy and heartless and doesn’t “get” me. When I can’t make my house payment or pay the rent it’s the greedy bankers or owners fault… I’m not sure how this works but it’s awesome. When I decide to spend my free money from the government on cigarettes and booze I’m above criticism and anyone who does criticise me is mean-spirited and should walk in my shoes. When I beat and starve my kids it’s because that’s how I was raised and don’t know any better. When I kill a convenience store clerk over $20 it’s because society has denied me opportunities.
I’ve also found out what I’m entitled to simply because I was born. I get free money from the government for not working. I get food stamps because we all deserve free food. I get free school tuition so I can get skills that nobody wants then demand a job that doesn’t exist and when it isn’t created for me go occupy somewhere and misspell a sign demanding socialism. Oh yeah, I can’t be kept in jail because you all have made me crazy and I’m just a product of my environment, which I think means parents and friends and bosses and stuff.
Finally I have learned that those people who make “good” decisions and “achieve” a level of wealth and success are evil and mean. They are full of hate and should be forced to give me everything they have. I’d let them have some stuff because I’m not mean…
OK, that’s enough, it’s Monday morning and I have to start drinking and being angry, which is your fault.
