Happy May Day!

A Brief History of Big Labor (AFL now AFL-CIO) and the Socialist Party USA.

The Relationship between Marxist Socialism and Fascism, both Statist Governing Theories.

This is a brief history lesson… put the beer down for a couple of minutes.

The A. F. of L. Becomes Fascist

Over 40 years ago on Union Square, New York, the leaders of the first May Day demonstration spoke not only about the 8-hour day but about the abolition of the capitalist system. “While struggling for the 8-hour day we will not lose sight of the ultimate aim, – the abolition of the wage system,” read the resolution presented to the striking masses assembled at Union Square on May First, 1890, after they had marched there in great columns under unfurled red banners through the working class sections of the metropolis. Now, the A. F. of L. and the Socialist Party make common cause with the bosses and are doing everything possible to prevent the workers from fighting for any improvement in their conditions, and instead of fighting for the abolition of the capitalist system are fighting to preserve it.

Over 40 years ago, the A. F. of L. appealed to the International Socialist Congress in Paris to help the American Federation of Labor with the strike movement inaugurated for May First, 1890, and the International came to the aid of the American workers by making this struggle an international one. Now, President Green and his satellite Mathew Well pledge the support of the A. F. of L. to each and every reactionary organization or movement formed for the purpose of combating the Communist Party which is carrying on the American fighting traditions of May First. The A. F. of L. leaders have developed from class collaborationists into open fascists, serving the capitalists as hangmen of the American working class.

In their attempt to defeat May Day and to draw the workers’ organizations which are under their influence away from participation in May Day demonstrations, the A. F. of L. and other reactionary labor organizations have fostered the observance of a so-called Labor Day on the first Monday in September of each year. Labor Day was adopted first on a local scale in 1885 and later granted by the various state governments as an antidote to May First celebrations.

Another campaign against May Day was inaugurated by the federal government with the aid of A. F. of L. leaders when May 1 was adopted as Child Health Day. The hypocrisy of both the government and the A. F. of L. is proven by the fact that a million and more children under 16 are sweated in American mills, shops and fields for the glory of American capital.

The real meaning of this sudden interest in child welfare, however, may be gleaned from the following reference to the subject in a report submitted by the Executive Council to the 1928 Convention of the A. F. of L.:

… The Communists still maintain May 1 as Labor Day. Hereafter May 1 will be known as Child Health Day, as the President is directed by the resolution passed by Congress to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe May 1 as Child Health Day. The object is to create sentiment for year-round protection of the health of children. It is a most worthy purpose. At the same time May 1 no longer will be known as either strike day or Communist Labor Day. (Italics mine – A. T.)

Can it be that the A. F. of L. leaders have not heard the story about King Canute and his attempt to sweep back the tempestuous ocean waves? Or is it that in their eagerness to break the fighting spirit of the workers they are willing to try anything?

The Social-Fascism of the S. P.

The betrayal of the workers begun during the war was continued by the Socialist parties after the war. They joined bourgeois governments to protect them from the wrath of the workers; they organized counter-revolutions to thwart the workers’ struggle for power; they became the butchers of the militant sections of the working class which were fighting for the overthrow of the rule of capital, just as the workers of Russia have done under the leadership of the Bolsheviks, the Party of Lenin. The social-patriotism of the Right and the social-pacifism of the Center during the war, have now been merged into social-fascism. The social-fascists have become part of the capitalist state machine, protecting it from the revolutionary actions of the workers and peasants in the imperialist and colonial countries. They call for war against the Soviet Union and organize plots designed to arrest the progress of building Socialism there. They support the war being waged against the Chinese people by Japanese imperialism and the seizure of Manchuria as an eastern base for attacking the Soviet Union.

They have long ago abandoned the demand for the 8-hour day. They hope that the League of Nations will secure for them the shorter workday through conventions between capitalist governments. The Marseilles Congress of the Second International in 1925 declared that the 8-hour day “should be recognized only in principle.” They still participate in May Day events, but only on the other side of the barricades, as was exemplified by the fiendish actions of the Socialist Chief of Police of Berlin, Zoergiebel, against the May Day, 1929, demonstrations in the working class sections of that city. In the 1932 presidential elections, the Social-Democracy backed the Bruening fascist government by supporting the re-election of Hindenburg.

The “Socialist” Prime Minister MacDonald sends troops to mow down the Hindu masses who are rising against British imperialism and its agents in India. Wherever capitalism has felt weak to cope with the rising tide of the revolutionary and national liberation movements of the workers and peasants, it has called to its service the Socialist parties, willing agents of capitalism within the labor movement, to help defeat these movements.

In the United States, the Socialist Party plays the same role. Although it is not in office, it has already earned its spurs in the business of betraying the best aspirations and interests of the workers. It joins all reactionary forces who are vilifying the Soviet Union and are trying to whip up sentiment for war upon the workers’ republic. It works with the A. F. of L. and the Muste “progressive” labor unions in hounding militant workers, in supporting the bosses against the workers, in applauding the forces of the state when they prosecute and persecute the revolutionary movement of this country. The old leaders of the S. P. (the Hillquits and Oneals) have forsaken whatever Socialism they ever believed in and the new leaders (the Thomases and Brouns) are bourgeois liberals who use the labor movement to advance the programs and the policies of the Theodore Roosevelts of the Bull Moose days and the Robert LaFollettes whose aim has always been to fool the masses with radical shibboleths.

Norman Thomas, the darling of the capitalist press, announces to the world in a recent book that he has brought forth a new kind of socialism, a socialism without Marxism. It has been tried before. An abler man than Thomas, Eduard Bernstein, tried to de-Marxianize Socialism more than thirty years ago. He knew better, however, than to go as far as Thomas goes in his claims. The German pioneer in this he’d only wanted to “correct” Marx, to “bring him up to date.” The American, Thomas, knows no halfway measures. He not only “revises” Marx, but abolishes him altogether, without, however, injuring Socialism thereby, as S. P. leaders declare.

Norman Thomas and the class-collaborationist Socialist Party which he represents today perhaps better than anyone else, stand exposed before the workers of this country as the betrayers and open enemies of the only Socialism that means workers’ rule, the Socialism of Marx and Lenin, the Socialism for which the Communist Party fights, the Socialism that is being built by the victorious workers and peasants in the Soviet Union today.

Revolutionary Traditions of American Labor

The American labor movement is rich in revolutionary traditions upon which the Communist Party and the Trade Union Unity League can draw in their work of organizing the American working class for revolutionary action. The great labor struggles which dot the history of the United States, bear testimony to the militancy of the American workers. Not only have the workers been ready to initiate struggles or accept provocations of the bosses, but when out on strike, they have stayed out long and fought bitterly against the combined forces of bosses and the minions of the State.

A labor movement which can look back to the general strike movements of 1877 and 1886, to Homestead (1892), to the A. R. U. Strike (1894), to Lawrence (1912), to the Steel Strike (1919), to Seattle (1919), to the many strikes in the coal, railroad, clothing and other industries, to the great struggles in Colorado, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, the Mesaba Range and, more recently, to Gastonia and Harlan, can also look forward to still greater struggles in the future. With the prevailing objective conditions – constantly deepening economic crisis, growing permanent unemployment, intensified exploitation through speed up methods, acceleration of imperialist rivalries leading to another world war, the American Labor movement, freed of its misleaders, will give an account of itself. The massacre by Ford police of four Detroit auto workers at an unemployed demonstration before his plant, the murder of Negro jobless in Chicago and Cleveland are evidences of the sharpening class struggle and the militancy of the workers.

Remember, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.  Ideological infighting is always present between Statists.  It’s a matter of who gets to Control you.

But when it comes to Free-Market Capitalism which protects the Natural Freedom and Liberty of the Individual… it is always the enemy of both flavors of Statism and they will always find communal ground in their effort to do away with it.

And You, in believing you have that Natural Right and subscribe to a bottom up Governing Theory, are the Enemy.

Happy May Day!

Just Say No…

…To Socialism.

If you’ve been with me for longer than 10 minutes, then you already realize I’m what you would call an Anti-Socialist.

While I have vast and varied views, first and foremost I stand in opposition to all forms of Socialist thought. You can call it whatever you want; Socialism, Liberalism, Leftist, Progressive, Fascist, Communist, Democrat, No Labels, Crony Capitalist, RINO, John McCain… or whatever new names they come up with to keep you confused.

Why do I oppose Socialism?  Why do I oppose a political theory that promotes Elitists exercising force over all those they deem inferior?  Why do I oppose an Ideology that has resulted in the greatest destruction to the common good, and ultimately the loss of life, in the history of the world?

I am a Free-Market Capitalist.

But what apparently sets me apart is I know what that means, which is more than I can said for the majority of our elected officials… and certainly more than our electorate.

(If you would like to join me in actually KNOWING what a Free-Market Capitalist is instead of allowing Leftists to tell you what they want you to think it is… here’s a good start:  Wealth of Nations, Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal, The Road to Serfdom, Freedom to Choose, The Romantic Manifesto, The Constitution of Liberty, The Age of Reason, The Law, Conflict of Visions… and the list can go on.  Come join us… it is rare air to breathe indeed.)

I will share with you, the people being demonized by the press are the people you must listen to carefully. (Actually listen to them… not whatever sound bite John Stewart or Bill Mahr decide to let you hear, followed by a studio audience of the above mentioned know nothings yucking it up and a laugh track from the fifties.)

The folks you will be told are Mean, Evil, Stupid and In the Way of your Happiness are the very individuals who, most likely, have the best interest of our amazing country at heart. And, they are the few deserving an honest, unedited, un-editorialized hearing of why they stand in opposition of more Socialism.

But let me get you started:

Socialism gets you Detroit.

Socialism gets you Mexico.

Socialism gets you Domestic Spying.

Socialism gets you incredibly horrible public schools.

Socialism gets you Unions who make promises to their members they know they can’t honor.

Socialism put’s your medical records out there for all to see.

Socialism gets you expensive, crappy health care.

Socialism gets you high taxes.

Socialism gets you high unemployment.

Socialism gets you Crony business deals.

Socialism gets a quadrupling of the money supply devaluing everything you’ve worked so hard to save.

Socialism spends your money with no consideration of reason or result, because it believes it owns the money… not you.

Socialism gets you National Debt so large you cannot possibly conceive it.  You literally can’t count that high… before you die of old age.

Socialism gets you racial hatred because without it, it dies.

Socialism gets you a bigger and bigger gap between the rich and poor, because it relies on that too.

Socialism puts self-anointed Elitist A-holes in power and keeps them there… forever.

Socialism is Force.

So the very least MY representatives can do IS NOT GET ALONG WITH SOCIALISTS.  AT ALL… EVER.

The very least MY representatives can do is say NO in the face of bigger government and more spending… or should I SAY WASTING MY MONEY.

The VERY LEAST my representatives can do IS STAND IN OPPOSITION to everything… every single thing… the Socialists want to do.

And, if they DO NOTHING ELSE… I will consider them to be doing a great job.

If they really want to impress me, then start taking apart 100 years of Socialist schemes which have not only stood in the way of this country being greater than it is, but has set it back on every level.  Doubt me?  Do you think the founding fathers would have asked the public to tolerate Domestic Spying after fighting a War in order to establish a new type of Government designed to protect the Individual, Their Freedom, Liberty and Property?  (There were plenty of “Terrorists” back then too.)

So I expect that 20% of the Republican Party who are about to be positioned as the worst people in the world… will do the right thing.

I expect them to be the Party of No!

NO!  NO!  NO!

It is the least they can do.  When I say “the least”, I mean the LEAST.

Dallas is Broken…

Today I read that Dallas is considering Municipal Bankruptcy.

Seriously?

Apparently the Police and Firefighters Pension fund, yes another Bankrupt Pension Fund, cannot deliver on the promises made to retirees.

This is an old song. In fact, it seems to be the most successful path to Bankruptcy in the last 20 years. The Unions make promises to their workers regarding retirement benefits which, once must believe, they know can never be honored but will come crashing down after the Union Bosses are long gone from their $500k a year jobs.  Simple.

In the case of Dallas it is a Democrat Mayor who must make a Bail-Out plea to a board of Republican ex-governors.

This is an opportunity to seize upon.

I would recommend the Board demand a full accounting regarding how this occurred. In other words, it’s not enough to state out loud “It’s Broken!”…. “Help!”.

What needs to happen is a complete unabridged step-by-step narrative, a concrete time-line, put on paper for all to see.  Everyone needs to understand how a Municipality arrives at a place where it cannot fulfill its promises. The benefit of this would be Shame… but also so it can be referred back to time and time again by those who want to make such promises and then walk off the scene with their huge Salaries knowing they will never be held to account.

Names need to be named. Blame needs to be placed. Acts must be identified so they can be avoided in the future. The Taxpayers are always Forced to hand over their hard-earned money for such foolishness never really knowing why. Enough is Enough.

This is what has to happen when you’re dealing with Children… even if the Children you’re dealing with make half a mil a year to act like their out to protect and support our Police and Firefighters using the never veiled threat of casting dispersion upon anyone who has the maturity to balk at bad math.

I’m going to Drink until it happens…

Preserving my right to Cheat!

There is no reason to oppose voter ID laws unless you intend to preserve your ability to commit voter fraud.

You cannot present a single reason why every person choosing to vote should not have a state issued, or otherwise verifiable, identification card with a picture which is required to be presented prior to practicing one of the most important acts imaginable in a Democratic Republic.

Not a single reason.
I must present picture ID to enter a bar.
I must present picture ID to rent a car.
I must present picture ID to get a hotel room.
I must present picture ID to fly in an airplane.
I must present picture ID when in every other country. (And they do not allow me to vote in their elections.)
I must present picture ID to purchase a home.
I must present picture ID to open a savings account.
I must present picture ID when pulled over for speeding.
I must present picture ID to get a job.

But… to “legally” screw up your life with my vote by electing idiots?

I can be anybody, and everybody, with no proof necessary… even dead… and vote.

Priceless.

The process of free and honest elections is a Pillar of Freedom.

If you vote for, or support the appointment of, these horrible people who want to preserve their right to cheat, you need to admit to yourself that you are also a horrible person.  (We already know it.)

I Find Your Lack of Intelligence… Disturbing.

My Apologies to Lord Vader..

How is it that those who practise genuine Free-Market Capitalism, in its purest form, can’t understand why Socialists Hate them?

Which brings us to a Flurry of Uber Arrests in Hong Kong.

I happen to have an answer…

Those practising Free-Market Capitalism, in its purest form, are a bunch of Democrat Socialist Tools.

This is the only explanation for the surprise experienced when Chinese Authorities Arrested Uber Drivers and those coordinating the Company’s efforts in Hong Kong.

For me this is a glaringly hilarious illustration of the ignorance of those who ‘Identify’ as Way Smart, Totally Cool, Progressives simply doing what any One World Collectivist Hipster would do, Download an app and make money Driving people around…. then be amazed that Big Labor Unions, Democrat Politicians and the Communist Chinese Government doesn’t go for it.

The fact they fail to understand what has happened is rich irony indeed.

If you’re reading this and I’ve made you angry, please think super hard as to why.

But don’t bother telling me about it.

I don’t care.

Because no matter what you say… it will remain funny.

La Gran Mentira

The big lie.

While posturing that “the borders need to be secured” neither party is willing to actually secure them.

Why?

Grab a Tecate, and let’s take a look at the Democrats first.

The Democrats see illegal immigrants as a huge potential voting block once legitimized.  They will never say this out loud, but amnesty is what they want and once that occurs it will be quickly followed by demanding voting rights.  Even if they fail to push through voting rights (they can always come back to that) there is an ancillary and enormous benefit they also will not tell you about.  If they are here legally they can become Union members whose dues are mandatory and used to support pro-labor (Socialist) political candidates.  It should cause some Democrat Union members dissonance when they find themselves supporting illegal immigration  (the guys taking “their” jobs)… but it seems it’s just part of the mental gymnastics required to be a Socialist.  It can never really be about the individual.

Now let’s look at the Republicans.

The Republicans see illegal immigrants as an incredibly effective tool to disrupt the stranglehold Unions have had on Agriculture, Manufacturing and the Trades.  Part of the reason we have seen an exodus in manufacturing from the U.S. to places distant is that Labor Unions have driven up the price of labor to the point where companies can longer afford to pay the wages and benefits and still make a profit they feel is large enough to justify the effort.  (I know I just uttered a dirty word to you Leftists out there but I beg you to learn a little bit about the profit motive and how it drives innovation bettering all of our lives.  Please.)  So the illegal workforce effectively cuts the legs out from underneath the Unions and allows us to pay $.99 for a head of lettuce.  (An aside:  Let’s think about this for a second.  Are we being led to believe that these workers who are willing to break the law in order to make money for their families back home want to turn this country into the place they had to leave in order to find work?  Or is it all of the “free” services like education, medical and welfare?  But… I thought the country’s north and south of us already provided that stuff.)

There is an answer to this problem.

Liberalize temporary work visa’s. (If I can go to the department of motor vehicles and get a credit card type driver’s licence made in ten minutes, then certainly we can have the same machine at points of entry for those who wish to work.)  Put a biometric component on the ID.  Easy.  The workers would be required to have the ID’s on them at all times just as we are when we travel to other countries.  The card would have to be renewed every six months after a brief stay in their home country or country of choice other than the U.S. (Similar to what ex-pats do in order to maintain their citizenship status here in the United States.)

Here’s the key:  The visa would not allow voting rightsIt would not allow for collectivization.  (If one would like those things then get in line and go through the process of becoming a citizen. If not… no worries, don’t get in line.) Those states wishing to attract these workers could simply pass right to work laws making it possible for them to work without having to join a Union.

Here’s the rub;

The Republicans don’t like this idea because it would drive the cost of low skilled labor up somewhat.  But more importantly they’re understandably afraid that if it was offered the cry would be for bipartisanship and compromise… which would lead to the workers ability to join a Union and vote in local elections first (this is already being worked on in the southern border states), then national elections in the name of “fairness”.

The Democrats don’t like the idea because on the outside chance that they don’t get some wonderful bipartisan compromise then they don’t get votes and money for Democrat politicians.  They would also lose an issue for the ignorant portion of their base who likes to believe that the “Old South” lives and they hate them mezkins and forners.  (It has always been funny to me that the “Old South” were all Democrats but I digress.)

So… We’ll just keep things as they are so both parties have something to talk about aside from their driving the U.S. into fiscal oblivion with their Statist entitlement programs.

Either way, it leaves open an even bigger question.

When does it become Mexico’s responsibility to create an environment their citizens wish to live and work in?  I thought the Socialists had this all worked out.

It’s not so Odd when you consider the primary contributors to all Chamber of Commerce organizations are Small (50 employee) to Medium Businesses which are being squeezed by a flood of new EPA and OSHA regs. not mention ICE raids.  And their primary loss of business, ie. competition, is from micro-businesses which employ the above cheap labor but escape scrutiny because they are so small.  The rub is We the People do not want to pay the far higher prices for similar work just because our government is Fascist.  (The Government owns the businesses through regulation.)  So the National Chamber is lobbying to reform immigration in order to try to help their patrons survive.  Because the Chamber is of the mind that there is no use trying to fight the Government… which is what they SHOULD be doing.

Blaming China

…for our failure to Embrace Capitalism?

I will remind you that China is the only reason we are doing as well as we are right now.

I know, I know.  They manipulate their currency!

Surprise! They always have.  I didn’t say trust them… But…

What do you think we, the U.S., are doing when The Fed Magically comes up with freshly printed money and pushes it into the market calling it “Quantitative Easing”?  Yes… that is currency manipulation.  And that’s just one of the ways WE do it.  Don’t act naive.

They take advantage of their workers!  Sometimes, yes.  That is a price they will have to pay down the road.  It’s the way it works, free-trade will always level the playing field without any planners help.  But for now, it is keeping them from an internal civil war… which would lead to the need to create a feeling of National Pride… and the quickest way to do that while keeping those currently in power, in power, is to… anyone, anyone?  Bueller?

Let’s spell this out in the simplest terms.

China makes stuff we like.  It’s often good stuff… because if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t buy it.  The Freedom to Choose is a beautiful thing.  It promotes the best products at the lowest prices making everyone’s lives better.

China is buying our Crappy Debt.  This keeps our economy going.  Nothing else.

China buys some of our stuff, just not as much as we would like. But who’s to blame for that when we don’t make much anymore…

And, drumroll please…… we don’t make much anymore because it too damn expensive to make stuff here.  The reason it’s too damn expensive to make stuff here is because labor costs too much.  (Gasp!) The reason labor costs too much is because of Unions.  The reason Unions are at fault is they prevent the market from determining the prevailing wage by bullying of business and promotion of minimum wage laws.  The Reason jobs go other places; from new York to new Jersey, from Texas to Monterrey, from the U.S. to China is because Living Wage/Minimum Wage laws and Unions make it too expensive to make whatever product it is in the previous place.  In other words, the outright denial and refusal to recognize basic rules of economics kills employment opportunity in one place and creates opportunity in the place the market is allowed to work…

We seem to be doing everything we can to destroy Capitalism.  We’ve been doing this for a very long time.  Given the American determination, when we set our minds to something… we get it done.

WE are destroying this country.

WE are responsible for the state of affairs we are in.

WE are overseeing the decline of the freest country on the planet.

And, by our continued support of Socialism… We are cheering all of it on.

So stop Blaming China for our Failure to Embrace that which made us Great.

If this hits too close to home and you simply can’t question your personal beliefs leaving you in a state to hate someone other than yourself…

Blame Iceland.

Blame Greenland.

Blame Malta.

Blame Tibet…

All are equally as guilty as China.  Actually, more so because they are not propping up what’s left of the U.S.

In the end it’s OUR failure to understand the only thing that makes, or made, the United States Unique in the World.

Capitalism.

Bare in mind, I’m not a Sinophile.  There are plenty of things to blame China for, or at least to use as bright, shining, examples of “What Not to Do, Ever”.  But these things revolve around Socialism… and when you’re busy giving Socialism a big sloppy wet kiss… you’re just not interested in hearing about how the story always ends.

Besides… they make nothing worth drinking.

Declaration and Exemption

How do those we disagree with secure power over us?

They declare onerous rules and then exempt everyone, particularly themselves and their associates, from them.  (Can you think of any current examples?)

Why do they do this?

Because in doing so they secure the authority to create the rules… with your acquiescence as demonstrated by your silence.

When they begin making decisions exercising Control over you and you object, they act surprised.  When the time comes to challenge these people, it’s too late.
You have already been marginalized.

Silence is Consent… whether you mean it to be or not.

Unless you confront our leaders whenever they step outside the boundaries set by the U.S. Constitution, you concede your Freedom to them.  You promote your own slavery.  This, of course, requires you knowing what’s in the U.S. Constitution.  You might want to take the five minutes needed to read it.  Then repeat that exercise often.  I do.

By the way, I Declare that I am King of the World.  However, for two years none of you will be effected.

BLITZKRIEG!

(Considering the latest events and discoveries I thought this was worth a revisit.  I have not added everything we know now about Domestic Spying, the IRS etc. Originally posted 1/29/13)

Once upon a time the first 100 days of a President’s term were considered an important period to rush the passing of agenda items while there was still momentum…

Clearly the Obama Administration, in coordination with the Democrat controlled Senate and the Residual Leftists in the House, have scrapped the “First 100 Days” approach and substituted it with “Right Here, Right Now!”  Because… 100 days is just too long.

The Socialists have opened the fire hydrant of horrible ideas and are pushing the faces of the American People in front of it “for a drink”.  And, the Republicans have adopted the historic role of the French.  Sadly not one of these Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys can bake a decent loaf of bread.  In other words, those who supposedly support the Constitution of the United States are strangely silent while a major news network airs an editorial offering up the wisdom of getting rid of it in an attempt to make “just” getting rid of the Second Amendment “reasonable”.  This is the Overton Window 101.  (I’m well aware of the “editorial” aspect of the Socialist Professors statement, but allow me to remind you that the script had to be approved, set made available, professor prepped, shot blocked and sound levels checked for the shoot then ultimately the entire segment approved for airing… so don’t tell me about it only being an “editorial” and not reflecting the views of the network.  Can you imagine such an editorial running anywhere 20 years ago?)

The Liberal Establishment is charging Across America with Overwhelming Force.

The new tactic is to Pile every Leftist issue you can into what will be held as an emergency agenda and ANY effort to slow down, discuss or debate ANY aspect of the President’s push will be reported as Obstruction by the same “objective” news networks that want you to consider the “upside” of getting rid of the Constitution altogether… the same Constitution upon which all of our law is based upon…  the same Constitution that is the only thing preserving your Freedom and Liberty, since clearly we have no one government willing to do it.  At some point you have to ask yourself, are we alone?

So… Now we must pass Amnesty, so we can grow the Unions… Tax Increases, just to make it Fair… Print More Money, because we don’t have any… Buy our own Debt, because nobody else will… Pass more Gun Control, so no non-government citizen will have, or will want to have, a gun… Approve the Fairness Doctrine, so we can return to complete Socialist Control over the Media…  Get rid of the Electoral College, making the way for “democratic” mob rule…  Pass a Second Bill of Rights, because the First one is just too limiting… And Applaud every expansion of the roles of those Dependent on Government instead of themselves.

Seriously, I’m drunk most of the time… yet I seem to be able to read the writing on the wall, when it’s not that stupid, poofy, graffiti stuff.  If you think what I’ve outlined above is overwhelming, just wait.  The next couple of months will be unbelievable… which is the strategy.

We are seeing a Liberal Blitzkrieg… it shouldn’t be a surprise since their German Brethren over at the National Socialist Democratic Workers Party were the ones who came up with it in the first place.

Homework… La Gran Mentira, Is Mexico Responsible for Anything? and I Pay Taxes, I Should Get to Vote!

Better than the Alternatives

“Doing Nothing is Unacceptable.” – Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) regarding Immigration Reform Bill

Well… apparently not.

Demonstrably, “living in the shadows” here in the United States is better than the alternatives for those who choose to do it.

“Doing nothing” is exactly the right thing to do until the borders are secure. In other words… Border Security must be sole and separate from any other legislation, and must be accomplished to everyone’s satisfaction prior to initiating possible alternatives for individuals who have chosen to “live in the shadows”.

So, Doing Nothing is quite acceptable, Senator.

Particularly when the alternative requires us to yet again trust the government to perform on the promises they make.  And particularly if “Doing Something” must contain any form of legitimization for those who broke the law in coming here… even when it was the best choice they felt they had.

Where else in the World would this be tolerated?

Mexico?  Switzerland?  Norway?  If you think so, you should check out their immigration policies and get back to us.

So…

First the Tall Fence… not the promise of one.

Then, and only then, the Wide Gate.

Words are cheap, and our politicians continuously remind us of that while hoping we forget.

Right now the folks living in the shadows seem to think it’s pretty OK… or they would vote with their feet and return to their respective countries.
