Obama meets the Omnipotent Paradox?

Such seems the Destiny of those who seek The Power of Control over Others.

There has been much talk lately that Progressive Liberals in both parties will take serious hits this Election cycle.  I, as you, have learned to not believe anything until it’s over… and it’s never over.  I will proudly remain a Cynic.  So I’ll reserve any hopeful prognostication as it has been 50/50 for me in the past.  But there is an interesting phenomena occurring before our eyes.

It appears that the Socialists in the U.S. have found themselves face-to-face with the Omnipotent Paradox.

By Creating and then placing Socialized Medicine before all other concerns they may be facing a Stone they cannot lift.

But let’s look at it from their point of view.

Single Payer, Government Run, Medicine is the Crown Jewel of Socialism.  And, considering they have achieved All of the other goals lined out by Marx, Lenin and their Fellow Travelers it makes sense everything else should be set aside in favor of installing and then protecting this Enormous Victory.  One must also weigh the level of success Leftists have enjoyed over the last 100-years to fully understand the confidence they exhibit.  Not only have they been able to reach every goal they set their sights on, but the “loyal opposition” has become the Concession Party… Opposition in Name Only.  Their supposed enemies are differentiated not by Ideology, but by the color of their Tie.

So… Why shouldn’t they believe they are Omnipotent?

Given this History, who wouldn’t “take the shot” to close the deal on a Socialist United States?  If I were a Marxist, I would…

The result, however, seems to have been the creating of something larger than the Progressives can control.  And they may be rethinking their Omnipotence and wondering if Hubris hasn’t raised its ugly head.

Obama Care, AKA the Affordable Care Act, is finding no quarter, in any Quarter.  In fact, it is fomenting the closest thing to a Pitchfork Rebellion the U.S. has seen.

Is The Forgotten Man learning, or re-learning, what this Country was Founded Upon and Why?

If so, it could be the beginning of the end for the Red Menace.  It could signal the unwinding of over 100 years of Progressive thought and code.

It might be the thread sticking out of the Ugly Sweater… waiting to be pulled.

The only question is Who is going to pull it?

It Certainly will not be the Democrats.

It Certainly will not be The Establishment Republicans.

So Who?

Let’s pretend Someone is Brave enough to pull it, will those pulling fall victim to Hubris resulting from a perception of Omnipotence?

They surely will if we grow complacent again…

Because we are All Human.

And I’m a Proud Cynic.

The John Roberts Dart Board

Without a doubt there is a fine Hog Bristle Dart Board bearing Chief Justice John Robert’s Face hung in the West Wing.

We discussed this a couple of years ago immediately following Robert’s deciding vote forcing the ACA to be considered a Tax if the Liberals were to move Forward! in enforcing it.

To refresh, the Democrats had tried arguing that Obama Care (Affordable Care Act) was both a tax and Constitutional under the Commerce Clause.  It was an attempt to be too clever by half.  It was crafted to put the judges in a position that the Act was Constitutional under one scenario and not the other… A Hobson’s Choice of sorts with Approval being the outcome.  Or better yet, a Trap for Fools.

The Supremes didn’t do that.  What they Did do was determined that the Commerce Clause did Not empower the Leftist’s to enforce the ACA.

So… it’s ASSUMED to be legal as a Tax… but no decision was offered regarding the Constitutionality of the ACA being a Tax.

Here we are today.

The Administration is faced with having to delay, delay, delay.

Why?

Because the moment someone is taxed under the provisions of Obama Care they have been Harmed!  Harmed!

And when you’re Harmed, you can file suit.

Once the suits are filed they will be on their way to the Supreme Court for the Decision that was not addressed previously.  Is Obama Care Constitutional as a Tax?

The Administration knows it is Not.  We know it is Not.  Everybody knows it is Not… but you’ll still hear devote Progressives Profess it is.

Thus the only tactic the Liberals have is to continue trying to delay the mandates and penalties (taxes) associated with the destruction of the finest Health Care System in the World by this Leftist Scheme known as Obama Care.

I suspect the John Roberts Dart Board is FULL of Darts… and all other sorts of sharp thingies.

While I must admit, I enjoy the Schadenfreude associated with watching Liberals of every stripe realize what an abortion Obama Care actually is… it’s hilarious to see the minds of those who consider themselves smarter than the rest of us trying to reconcile that we Dummies out here wandering around in our own ignorance were… Right from the very beginning…. and watching those very same Elitist’s with French Envy suffering alongside the rest of us because they and their Ilk destroyed a perfectly good Health System… I no longer want to hear from them.

It’s well past time we stop tolerating those who share no tolerance of the rest of us because they see us as… well, sub-human. I can’t find any other way to put it. How else do you describe another entity which you believe to be so profoundly stupid that it cannot, under any circumstances, be allowed to make decisions for itself because it can only be counted on making what you would consider the wrong one? That’s how The Liberal Progressive Democrat Party and 80% of the Republican Party view us.

They have always positioned themselves as the smartest people in the room, thus they viewed it as their divine right to hold the political offices and bureaucratic roles placing them in positions to tell us what to do.  They respond to our questions with “Shhh… just stay quiet and let the adults talk.”  They are genuinely outraged when any aspect of their behavior is brought out into the light and questioned… for any reason.

Maybe they’re right about one thing.  Maybe it IS time for the Adults to take the reins.

Obama Care needs to be Repealed and we need to go back to the Terrible, Horrible, Mean Spirited, Apocalyptic system we had just a few years ago where, according to the smart people, babies were dying on the doorsteps of E.R’s and Doctor’s laughed while watching Illegal Immigrants bleed out in front of them.

In other words, since none of that ridiculous crap ever happened, we need to go back to the system we had because… it worked.

Only then can we address whatever problems it might have had.  Only then.

Make no mistake, the Liberals are staring into a light at the end of the tunnel… and it’s not a way out.  The very real fear being felt by those who wish to control us is the possibility that We The People demand Obama Care be Repealed.  Because if we do, and we get it done, it sets a precedent for all the other wasteful, bloated and rotting Socialist Schemes metastasized cancers upon This Greatest Experiment.  The Terror comes from the fact we might realize that if we can dismantle what is easily the largest new bureaucracy the planet has seen since China, and the Soviets, then we can eat the other Elephants in the room one bite at a time.

The Smart Folks want us to climb on board with “fixing it” while leaving it in place and thus leaving them in charge.

I want to be in charge of my health care.  I want a Private System where performance and innovation are rewarded.  I want a Private System that rewards Doctors for their efforts.  (I want my Doctor driving a Mercedes… not a stolen bicycle.)  For That matter I want a Private System FULL of Domestically Trained Doctors… not nurses or transplants.  (Bless Nurses, but they’re not Doctors.  They could have made that choice and competed with those that did, but they did not make that choice.  That’s not my fault.)

So…

This IS the Hill upon which we must fight.

The Elitists are telling us we cannot win… which is just another reason why I don’t want to hear from them anymore.

Republicans Begin Laying Ground Work to Walk Away From Obamacare Opposition

Conservative and Republican affiliated groups have started the 2014 assault against Democrats who support Obamacare. At the very same time, it is increasingly clear Republicans are laying the groundwork to abandon their opposition to Obamacare.

The Business Roundtable, which has a great relationship with Republican Leaders, is now listing Obamacare as an entitlement worth preserving.

Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a former economic advisor to John McCain and who opposed passage of Obamacare, has started a think tank premised on keeping, but fixing, Obamacare. Holtz-Eakin has the ear of Republican leaders. In 2009, Mitch McConnell appointed him to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.

The Chamber of Commerce is declaring it will work to fix, not repeal, Obamacare. In fact, just last week the head of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said, “The administration is obviously committed to keeping the law in place, so the chamber has been working pragmatically to fix those parts of Obamacare that can be fixed.”

Concurrent to this, the Chamber of Commerce has begun funding candidates to beat conservatives in Republican primaries.

The Republican Main Street Partnership, headed by former Congressman LaTourette — who is a friend of Speaker John Boehner — is working with the Chamber and party leaders to target conservatives the party leadership finds troublesome. LaTourette has been parroting talking points from the National Republican Senatorial Committee about the Senate Conservatives Fund, Club for Growth, and others.

Ben Sasse, the conservative candidate in Nebraska on the most recent cover of National Review and who has the backing of the Senate Conservatives Fund, RedState, and others, suddenly finds Mitch McConnell and the NRSC holding fundraisers for his opponent. Sasse, it should be noted, is widely considered a brainiac opponent of Obamacare and healthcare policy expert.

And just yesterday, the National Republican Congressional Committee blackballed Jamestown Associates from helping elect Republicans. The NRCC is joining the NRSC in attacking Jamestown. Why? Because Jamestown Associates has been working with conservative candidates the House and Senate GOP leadership opposes.

The lobbying groups who have open access to Republican leaders are abandoning repeal. The wonks the GOP leaders listen to are abandoning repeal. The outside groups the GOP leaders work with have begun attacking conservative candidates. The outside groups who help conservatives are being shut out by the party.

They are laying the groundwork to bail on fighting Obamacare. We’ve seen this coming for two years. They have fundraised again and again on opposing Obamacare. They have had multiple symbolic votes against Obamacare, but each time a meaningful vote has come up, they punt.

Now they are attacking the outside conservative groups who have held them accountable for their failure to act. Now they are targeting conservatives who will fight for full repeal.

Unless you will commit to beating Mitch McConnell, even if you must hold your nose to do it, this will not change. The Republican Establishment is slowly building the foundation for giving up the fight on Obamacare. It will take collecting scalps at the ballot box for them to turn back toward the right path of repeal.
