Obama Gun Control

As I tap this out President Barack Obama is presenting his Executive Gun Control to the American People.
He is expressing his Deep, Deep, Concern that ‘irresponsible’ people as well as Felons have been able to purchase firearms. He is also Demanding we do something to address the supposed explosion of ‘Mass Shootings’.  And because of these two things, which are not connected and both dubious claims at every level, President Obama has decided to further restrict access, to and make more difficult, the purchase of firearms in the United States.
Meanwhile…

You can continue to be an Overt Jihadist and secure a Visa to come to the United States to commit one of these ‘Mass Shootings’. (It should be noted most of us who are not interested in challenging the validity of the Second Amendment consider such an event Terrorism.)

You can forget about the Drive this Administration undertook to Up-Arm Mexican Drug Cartels with Taxpayer funds in order to convince the American Public that their was a scourge of Death and Destruction occurring on our Southern Border because of American Guns. (While well over 300 innocent Mexican Citizens, and a number of Mexican and American Law Enforcement Officers, died… it was because of the American Progressive Leftist Government desperately trying to do exactly what their current Leader is doing today by way of Unconstitutional Presidential Fiat.) Speaking of Mexican Drug Cartels… and Terrorists…

You can still walk across the Borders of this country and do what you wish without the fear of being stopped, or once in, being deported. If, on the outside chance, you are confronted the odds of your legal status being challenged is extremely low. And furthering the extremely low odds of your legal status being challenged, should it occur may land you being sent out of the country where you can begin the process of walking back once again.

In the End… President Obama may have a point about additional controls needing to be placed upon ownership of Weapons. Now having seen his entire News Conference it becomes clear. Each and Every example of Horror he cites involved a Leftist projecting Force over Innocent Individuals.  Natural Rights, in other words the Bill of Rights, in other words the First Ten Amendments to the United States Constitution, should not apply to those who work so diligently to destroy them, and kill the people who believe in them.

I do Demand something Better…

I demand any variety Leftist being prohibited owning any Weapon… ever… as defined by me.

Gun, Knife, Bat, Club, Motor Vehicle, Megaphone, The Office of the Presidency, etc.

Just like porn, I’ll know it when I see it.  And I’ll be watching.

It’s far past time for Meaningful and Effective Socialist Control!

Fixing Ferguson

If you give Fools a Stage they will Perform.

There is a very real issue in Ferguson. In fact, there are several.

First, there is the possibility that a young man was killed by a police officer without cause. There is also the possibility that the young man was killed with cause.

Second, A small group of criminals has decided to use this event to loot and burn businesses.

Third, a gathering of Anti-American activists from across the US have found their way to a part of St. Louis they never knew existed.

So what do we do?

We, as Americans, honor the right of those who question the Police… and for that matter the Government… regarding the death of this young man. Agree with those who believe the police killed him in cold blood or not, peaceful display of concern… anger… and pain remain part of our fabric. Remember, contrary to Mrs. Clinton, Dissent is not necessarily Patriotic. The Toleration of Dissent is Patriotic.

To the Second issue of criminal behavior, I would suggest ceasing the non-stop LIVE coverage of night-time protests. If you give Fools a Stage they will perform upon it.

Instead take that energy being expended by the News Media and focus it on those folks who are genuinely concerned about their community and their relationship with authorities… during the day. They merit the stage far more than the criminals.

Finally, there is never a reason to give Anti-American Activists a platform. THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE to FREEDOM AND LIBERTY OF THE INDIVIDUAL which is the opposite of what these Socialist organizers want to convey. If they were serious about their supposed concerns regarding Human Rights they would be busy is IRAQ, or myriad other places like China etc..  Instead they focus their efforts on the Freest country on Earth.  And the Safest for them to posture, and promote their Progressive Utopia.

The reason they are not confronting areas of real crimes against humanity is because they are far more concerned with promoting their Socialist agenda. They should be ignored.

These simple changes might not drive News ratings…

But they would put the focus back where it should be.

The voices that need to be heard would be heard.

Lives could be saved.

And the Federal Government could go back to DC where it belongs.

Run Away! Run Away!

Apparently it’s no longer a laugh line from Monty Python’s Holy Grail.

According to our Attorney General, Eric Holder, it’s “your duty” to retreat when threatened.

Your Duty… to Run Away.

Please take a moment and think about this.

Our Attorney General, who is the legal mouthpiece for the President of the United States, has stated in no uncertain terms that you must retreat when threatened by anyone wishing to do you harm.  And make no mistake… taking your stuff, threatening your well-being, or both, is “doing you harm”.

According to Mr. Holder, you are obligated to give that person, or persons, whatever they want if they demand it.  Could be your Wedding Ring, could be your child, could be your body.

You have no right to protect yourself, or your property, if another individual is willing to harm you.

Sounds to me like it’s “Open Season” on all of us who are not inclined to break the law.  Sounds like a Thug empowerment seminar.  Sounds like pandering for the criminal vote.

The only legitimacy this idea enjoys is born out of the concept that we should leave such matters to the police (the government).  It is a flawed idea.

I respect the police.  It is a difficult and dangerous job.

However, the police are the SECOND line of defense against crime.  They exist to catch criminals AFTER they have committed the crime… as it should be.

YOU are the FIRST line of defense… as it should be.

Why is this?

Because you do not… do not… do not… want to live in a country where there is a police officer on every corner.  These places exist, and judging by the numbers, you don’t even choose to vacation there.

So, this leaves YOU.  And surprisingly unknown to our current leaders, our country was designed that way.  The responsibility to defend ourselves is integral to our freedom and liberty.  In fact, our ability to defend ourselves, and our property, is considered an inalienable right.  Does that phrase sound familiar?  It should.

As you age, and pay attention, it becomes disconcerting when you realize the level of ignorance some of us find acceptable in our leaders.

Or is it ignorance?

Could it be they know exactly what they are saying?
