It appears that the press has discovered a deeply sinister plan which was considered, not enacted, by the ever evil Trump Administration.  According to the Washington Post, Trump officials proposed releasing (illegal) immigrants into Sanctuary Cities to “retaliate” against the Administrations political foes.  Story Here…

This leads my ADD addled, caffeine Addicted, mind to a number of questions…

1.  Isn’t the above “accusation” exactly what those who created Sanctuary Cities wanted?  If not, why did those cities and the politicians who run them proudly declare themselves as such?
2.  Isn’t everything the Trump Administration does, thus far, in direct opposition to the Socialists who created the Sanctuary Cities in the first place thus making them ALWAYS political foes regardless of specific proposals considered?
3. Why is this a story?

I believe I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll use the inebriation defense, several months ago I was in LA having a chat with a couple of friends about the ‘busing of migrants’ into California.  The couple were divided on the issue.  Mark (name changed to protect the innocent) viewed the outrage exhibited by Jerry (name changed because I hate a Jerry and he totally sucks… I don’t hate this guy, but Jerry still sucks.) as the height of hypocracy.  Jerry was incensed that New Mexico was supposedly busing in (illegal) immigrants to California(!).  How, he asked, could New Mexico have the gall to send a bunch of people here (California) when our system to care for them is already streched to it’s absolute limit?!

This led me to a simple question.  I started with; Jerry, I understand your being angry about that and I agree with you.  However, allow me to ask you why then is it okay for Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua to send us theirs?

A long very pregnant silence ensued.

I waited.

Jerry’s gears ground in different directions and I swear I saw a light wisp of smoke emanate from his left ear.

Mark smiled.

I continued to wait.

After several seconds of quietly walking around in circles, Jerry rallied what was remaining upstairs and proclaimed, red-faced, “That’s not the same thing!”

I let it go as the point had been made.  Mark continued to smile and Jerry continued to think, painfully.  In full disclosure, I also like both men and look forward to more exchanges in the future.

The point is, If you’re going to declare yourself a Sanctuary City then you cannot simultaneously be upset if your perceived political foe is volunteering to help you in your mission.  When you go into business you cannot get angry with those who send it to you, whether you like them or not.

This is a Foolish story produced by Foolish People at a Foolish Newspaper like the Washington Post.  (If you’re not sure what I’m saying, the link to dictionary.com is above the fold.  Use it.  Fool is spelled F-O-O-L.)

 

Editor’s note:  Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaruaga are in many ways better than New Mexico.  So to Jerry’s defense they are indeed different things.

I’d Rather Die On My Feet than Live On My Knee

This is the Wrong Fight to pick…

The current Take a Knee effort protesting Law Enforcement across the United States is something to behold. While I’m not excited about the President of the United States weighing in on what was being handled just fine by the rest of us, our market reaction of not tuning in and not spending money on NFL (now soon to be MLB) games was doing its job, once again he’s right…

This is not a Fight the NFL (and soon MLB) wants to pick with Trump. Why? Because they’re really picking it with the rest of us, whether we like Trump or not.

What is this really about?

It’s about the consequences of being Free.

And it’s about those who don’t like there being any.

Crime, in total, is out of control in this country.

If you look at the foundations of the serious issues confronting THE ONLY NATION ON EARTH THAT ELEVATES THE INDIVIDUAL ABOVE GOVERNMENT AND ATTEMPTS TO PROMOTE, PROTECT AND PRESERVE THAT INDIVIDUAL’S FREEDOM AND LIBERTY REGARDLESS OF RACE you will find them all built atop of Crime.

Which brings us to The Social Justice issue and the Progressive Left’s attempt to turn their poisonous Socialist Ideology into a Race.  They want everyone to believe that to be African-American, Latino, Hispanic, pick your minority, is to be a Socialist.

Inversely… To be Anti-Socialist is to be a Racist.  To believe in Law and Order is to be Racist.  To believe The United States is the Greatest Country on Earth… is to be Racist.  Worse yet, if you’re a minority and you’re any of the above you’re a self-hating Racist.

This Social Justice issue is really based on individuals who desire to commit crimes and not be held accountable because… Disenfranchisement?… Race?… Gender?… Religion?… Education?… Height?… Hair Color?… And to do this they must control speech.  They must find offense in all things.  They must silence reasoned debate because they know they cannot win under such circumstances.

The Truth is the above mentioned individuals do not want to be held accountable to anyone… for anything… ever… because they are Anti-American and Anti-Capitalist… they expect to be given, not earn, while remaining free to do whatever they wish to whomever they wish free of consequences.  They are Socialists, or being led by Socialists, who desperately want to remove any social construct that does not lead to their Utopian Dream of Securing Power over Others.  Their goal is your Slavery to the State.

At a minimum they are the Useful Ignorant who believe Socialism is an answer.  Well Socialism is an answer, just not one they will want once they get it.

They see Government as the Savior.

That fact alone is the most dangerous as they strive to provide Government with ultimate, unchecked, power to Force.  If Government is the Savior… then why restrain it in any way?

They genuinely believe Government should not be restrained in its endless pursuit of ‘Good’… and they see themselves as those who ‘govern’.

All of the Liberties and Freedoms you enjoy as an American Citizen, all the Rights your Fathers, Mothers, Brothers and Sisters, and there’s anon, fought for and died for, must be surrendered… in the name of “Good” Government.

The very Founding of America must be seen as an aberration, a scar on the evolutionary system of slavery and oppression by those ‘better than us’ which man had spent thousands of years perfecting before 1776.  Understand, Liberal’s have no problem with Slavery so long as it doesn’t discriminate based on race and is Approved by the Democratic Mob.  When you have two wolves and a lamb voting on what’s for dinner, they are the wolves.

This is where we are today and it’s frightening.

This is what your taking a knee represents when doing so at the sound of our National Anthem.

Make no mistake, you have the right to do it.  But that’s the point… you’re protesting that you have the right to do it.  Your protest is designed to destroy the very Freedom you think you’re promoting.  If you were to spend even a modicum of time contemplating what you are doing your head would explode from the confusion.

I don’t care what you’re being told… No one is being made to sit in the back of the bus.  No one is being denied essential rights as enumerated in the Bill of Rights.  No one is being denied the opportunity to excel and reap the rewards this country has to offer its citizens provided they makeaneffort.

Yet the richest among us take a knee.

The most successful, most accomplished and greatest examples of what an individual can do if effort is applied… take a knee.

Then you tell us why we should get down on ours.

And then, as if to add insult to injury… you lecture the rest of us about why We should be Ashamed for not wanting to watch you play a game, a F-ing Game, and shower you with a righteous praise for your Anti-American, Anti-Capitalist, Anti-Law Enforcement, Anti-Us, statement.

I’m willing to fight alongside you when genuine injustice occurs.  But you lose me when you find injustice in everything.  And you have lost me.

Those who wish to destroy America have gained unbelievable level’s of power in this nation.  What you haven’t figured out yet is They don’t care about you.  In fact, they are the very same people who protested your college sports because you guys received too much attention and money for your programs versus all of that money being spent on academics.  They are the same people who despise you and your way of life.  They look down on you, your family, your education… even where you’re from.  They disdain everything that you are as an individual… your success… your riches… your effort… your physical prowess…

And yet you kneel for them.

I suggest you think a bit more about who is really on your side.  It’s me.  It’s Us…  U.S.

The people who Hate you, who Hate all of Us, want this fight because you shouldn’t be enjoying the lives you’re enjoying.  They don’t believe you DESERVE those lives.

And yet you’re on your knees for them.

Well… They want you on your knees.  They like you on your knees.  They expect you on your knees.

I don’t care what you think about Trump.  When Trump has long gone, this Ideological Battle will rage on.

It’s simple.  People like me want you to enjoy all the benefits freedom and liberty afford you.  I want you to be all you can be without my interference… so long as you do not interfere with me.

That is not what the people who promote this protest of Americanism, Capitalism and Law Enforcement want.

They want the unchecked power to Force you to do what They Think is Right.

Don’t be Useful to them.

Stop allowing yourself to be used by those who profess to care but have only intentions of ruling over you.

Get off of your knees and…

Against all Evidence, it is clear to Liberals that the Government Control of the Health Care Industry is a Winner!

According to Every Democrat not currently in jeopardy of losing their elected office, The ACA is the Greatest piece of Legislation produced in our Lifetime.

So let’s review:

5 Million Individuals have been kicked off of their Insurance Plans so far.  (If you like your Plan you can Keep it.  The Republicans are Lying.)

6 Million People have “enrolled” in Obama Care.  (7.1 Million if you include those enrollments the Government has taken the Liberty to initiate on your behalf.  Your Welcome.)

15-20% Have not paid the first months fee.  (But this is according to Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  And we all know they Hate People.)

Obama Care will Lower your Decductable by $2500 a year.  (Whoops.)

We are beginning to see Testimonials from those who have lost their Doctors. (If you like your Doctor you can Keep your Doctor.  The Republicans are Lying.)

We are beginning to see Testimonials from those with Pre-existing conditions Who can no longer find Care.  (Pre-existing Conditions was a prominent justification for the Destruction of the Free-Market Health Care System and the subsequent Government Control.  The Republicans told you this would happen… but They’re Liars.)

Young Healthy people are not interested in subsidizing my poor Eating and Drinking habits… let alone my Heroin addiction.  So They’re not signing up.  And Those dumb enough to actually get as far as “enrolling” are not paying for it.  Somehow they thought it was supposed to be “Free”.  (Damned Kids, Who were They listening to?)

Obama Care is still the First Time in US History that the Federal Government is Forcing Citizens to Purchase something.  (We just need to modify the definition of Freedom… no problem.)

So, I guess if your only criteria for declaring something a Massive Success is how quickly the Government can Take it Over and dismantle any vestige of its previous existence, then Yes, Obama Care is a Terrific Achievement.

But if you’re Ms. Pelosi deep down you know the truth… so you resurrect Old Demons.

Everything that is Bad, such as the Current Economy and the CIA 10 years ago but not now, is George Bush and Dick Cheney’s fault.   Oh.. and Paul Ryan is an Ideological Radical.  (I wish.)

It’s time to Stand Up and Demand Action!

There are a couple of things we could make our politicians and representatives do in light of this.

1.  Declare Liberalism, and all of its faces and names, to be considered Criminal Insanity, then actively pursue the confiscation of anything which could be used as a weapon from those Progressives that own them.  The list should not be limited to Guns and Explosives… it should include knives, hammers, bats, sticks, machete’s, rocks, scissors, paperclips, garden tools, BMW’s, drawings of guns, pop tarts shaped to look like guns, the letters “G”, “U”, “N” and anything else they could harm themselves, or others, with.  Give the LAPD jurisdiction to confiscate these items statewide… or just shoot everyone they meet.

2.  Declare California a “No Travel” zone until California officials make substantive move to curb Liberal Violence.  The State Department could have this up and running right now if they took the threat seriously.  (There is doubt out here that they do, in fact, take the threat to our Children’s lives seriously.)

If you’re in California reading this, Move Now!  Get Out while you can!  Leave before it’s too late!

Your Life may depend on it… so could your Child’s Life!

Super Bowl XLVII

A Few of you might recognize this post already, but a tune-up was requested.

So here you go…

Does it matter who wins the Superbowl?
I’m sure it does to the San Francisco fans as I’m sure it does to the Baltimore fans.  (Personally, I’m rooting for Coach Harbaugh.)

But what I’m asking is, does it really matter?

Will your life be effected if your team loses? (If you’re gambler then, yes… I get it.)

You can keep reading, this isn’t some diatribe on how sports are ridiculous and a waste of time etc. In fact, I think sports are one of the few opportunities still available for the world to see a meritocracy in action. For Americans the Super Bowl is an annual affirmation regarding the benefits associated with competition. We should try applying it in other areas of our lives more often.
However, it strikes me as interesting that millions of fans know more about; how the game is played, who the best players are and why, the distinct characteristics of the coaches and their records, Deer Antler Spray etc. Some even know the type of turf each stadium has and the stats for the team mascot. The problem I have with this is that whoever wins cannot totally screw up your life… (right… unless you’re a gambler…)
Your asking about now, what does he mean? Does this guy have a point?

Well, every two years we have elections in this country. It’s my contention that had we paid as much attention to our elected officials over the last 60+ years as we do our sports, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in right now.
Then there is the other side of the coin.

It is also my contention that too many of us handle our politics the same way we root for our favorite team. We are the “fair weather fans”. We don’t pay much attention unless “our” team is winning then we may watch them during the regular season but certainly in the play-offs. We don’t really know anything about the players or the coach, but our parents were “fans” when we were kids and/or we grew up close to where the team plays so we’re “fans”. It’s enough that we have a jersey. Right?
Unfortunately this is also how many people vote.

So between the hyper-focus to the exclusion of what truly matters and the cursory focus on what we think matters spells for electoral results that leave us wishing we had bought the case instead of the twelve pack at the grocery store. And, it’s our fault.
My suggestion is we get as excited about elections as we do about our football, baseball and basketball.(I would add golf but… seriously?) Then we learn as much as possible in regard to the characteristics of the candidates, their professed political philosophies and then what they actually believe in based on their actions. It wouldn’t hurt to know their districts and the kind of turf they have… Then and only then do we go vote.

“But sports are way more exciting!” you say. I agree in many regards, but the 49’ers are not going to raise your taxes and the Ravens don’t have the ability to spend the country into oblivion. The above described political contestants do.

So focus your energy on what matters and take off your “party jersey” that your parents gave you.

Learn about the difference between Free-market Capitalism vs. Democratic Socialism.

Understand and be able to identify what camps these politicians belong too even when they tell you something different as they are all prone to do. (Editors Note: Frankly, many of these clowns occupying office have no idea what they are really representing.  Remember, there are no IQ tests required to be in politics.)  Because these guys can and do screw up our lives… on a regular basis… legally… with your permission…  while some of you actually cheer.

Pay attention to sports too… like I said, it may best the last arena we have to see actual competition. Unless, of course, the Politicians figure out a way to regulate that out of existence, which they are working on.

Time for a beer… game’s about to start.
