The Enemy Within

For the handful of you that haven’t already realized the Republican Party has been compromised by the Liberal Left and their Fascist Ideology…

As a Parting Gift, John Boehner has just handed the Progressives unlimited spending.

This is on the heels of a mock election for the Speaker of the House which Boehner immediately canceled when it became clear the Leftist Establishment was not going to get the outcome they wanted.

Now the Banana Republicans have achieved their goal by anointing Paul Ryan as the Next Speaker for the House of Representatives.

If it isn’t clear by now…

You’ve been used.  You’re still being used.

From the faux opposition to Obama Care, a poorly disguised pathway to Single Payer Socialized Medicine, which allows for total control over everything you do. and will do, to takeover of the banks by the very Leftists who caused them to fail in the first place… from where, and when, you’ll be allowed to travel, to what kind of wage you’ll be allowed to earn… from what you eat and read, to what activities you’ll be permitted to participate in.  All of these things will be decided for you by Socialists with ‘the best of intentions’. In fact, it’s already started in school lunch programs and mandatory insurance policies.

The Democrats and their RINO counterparts will tell you “It’s about your happiness, health and well-being after all.”  No allowing of your Individual Freedom.  Certainly no allowing your right to choose.

The fact all the above serves to solidify the permanent power of those Leftists on both sides of the aisle, and their progeny, is to be ignored by you.

When the message is,

‘Do not understand ‘why’ America is exceptional.  Do not demand Political Ideology and Governing Theory be clearly espoused, and more importantly demonstrated, by ‘your guy’.  Do not Require your Government return to the Constitution’s Original Intent and Expressed Limitations.’

When you’re being told,

‘It’s too Late.  Nothing Can be done about it.  Government will always be corrupt so you might as well get yours.’

It has begun.

What should you be feeling?

Bitter… Betrayed… Angry… Scared… Frustrated… Motivated…

Make no mistake, there is a war going on right in front of you.

The Enemy is Within.

It’s time to pick a side within the Republican Party.  It’s time to Defeat the Cancer that has led this country into Fiscal Insolvency and Democratic Socialism.   It’s time to Think… forcefully.

You will have no friends.

Balkanization

Or…

Why the IRS matters.

The BIG question is, does the IRS scandal matter?

I say yes, it does.

Here’s why:

For almost 100 years the Left in this country has spent untold treasure, and untold man hours, crafting arguments that pit one group against another.

The creation and nurturing of these groups is called Balkanization.

It is the political tactic of getting individuals to identify with a small group sharing similar interests, then pitting them against other small groups who seem to oppose said interests.  The outcome of this manipulation, they hope, is to gain one or the other small groups support in the form of money, and votes, come election time.  We have all seen this.  While it is certainly found on both sides of the aisle, it is the sole motivator used by the Socialists.  It is the proverbial “Us vs. Them”, whomever that may be.  The reason this is the foundation of Socialist politics can be found when individuals educate themselves as to what Socialism is… then recoil in disgust.  Because of this common reaction to Progressive ideology, they are left with identity politics.

The upside for the Statist Left is it distracts us from the paramount task of protecting our Natural Right to Indivdual Feedom and Liberty as outlined in our Founding Documents… what is otherwise a unifying cause.

There is fantastic writing on this phenomena out there, so will I not bore you.

But, what makes the IRS scandal important is the unifying effect it has on the population.  No matter who you are, if you are productive in any way, you are afraid of the IRS.  They have enjoyed that power, fostered it since their inception.  The rub for Liberals lies in the Unity part…

When your entire political success relies on small groups that you keep mad at those you consider your enemy, things start to fall apart when everybody unites.  And, everybody is uniting in outrage over the IRS scandal.  This makes for a very interesting tap dance the Left must perform in order to retain their base (by feigning outrage along with them) while also trying to defend and preserve the fear the IRS reputation evokes.  They must have a complicated, unintelligible, unnavigable tax code allowing unlimited power over the population and it’s productivity.  Socialism requires “special people” with the authority to redistribute wealth.

If you doubt me, you will have plenty of opportunity to see for yourself over the next week or so.  During the hearings look for your local Leftist and count the number of “but’s” in their statements and questions.  In other words, they will start by saying how unbelievable… horrible… terrible… it is for the IRS to target certain groups “BUT”… and then they will go on to defend its legality, or justify it in some way.  They simply cannot lose the power of the IRS.  Liberals on both sides of the aisle know and love the power they find in the U.S. tax code.

For the Socialists, government exists to take your money and give it to someone else… and you’re supposed to love it.  Or at the very least fear it.  Caligula had a famous quote; “Let them Hate me, so long as they Fear me.”

So yes, this scandal matters.  And I think it matters in a very big way.

In a Global way… in a Macro sense…

In fact, the timing could not be better… well, it could have been better.  It could have happened 50 years ago.  Anyway, it was not long ago that those who supported ideas like the Gold Standard were dismissed (after Nixon) to crazy-ville by the Liberal Left.  But time has allowed for many additional alternatives regarding taxation, from flat to consumption.

Many more individuals have become interested in the function of money.  These two facts only make it harder for those who have anointed themselves the smartest people in the room to do as they wish in regard to our economy.  Education has that effect.

So it brings us to today…

The Left has no choice but to try to shut down this IRS scandal.

They cannot afford all of us getting together and opposing something so important to the foundation of their Ideology.  The power of taxation cannot be modified in any way that reduces their ability to redistribute wealth.

They cannot afford alternative ideas designed to fund government functions which do not require one human forcing their subjective decisions upon other humans.  The individual cannot become more independent through the reduction of bureaucratic oversight and punishment.

They cannot afford to have this discussion continue much longer… particularly now that many of us know Liberals exist on both sides of the aisle and no longer fall for the old trick of party identity, but instead have endeavored to gain some ideological understanding.

While it’s a bit late, I’m happy it’s happening.

Cheers to the IRS and the Elitists who run it!  All the better to see you with…

It appears the current Mayor DeBlasio of New York is also tap dancing…

“I’m sooooo confused.”

(A repost for Independence Day from 021012)

An interesting comment came across a couple of posts back from a person I happen to respect. I thought it was worth exploring because it seems to be a sentiment I hear often.
“I see little difference between the two men.”  (Romney… or Anyone vs. Obama)
What is basically being said here is “it doesn’t matter which person I vote for”.
Well, if you’ve visited many of my posts you know it matters to me… and I’m clearly not a Romney fan.

My response:

It comes down to the ideological direction of what I consider the greatest country on the face of the Earth because of the way we were founded.  We’re not the smartest, best or the magically chosen people…  it is our Constitution which limits government and our Bill of Rights which preserves the individuals right to property which makes us different from all the world.

It is understandable to “see little difference” between the two men running for President if you have a “media packaged” understanding of Socialism and Capitalism.  Do not assume the Media know what they’re talking about either.  Sans a teleprompter, many of the “smartest” news readers fall appallingly short of intelligent.  (Many of us confuse Fascism for Capitalism…  this is intentional on behalf of the Media.  They have even coined the term “Crony Capitalism” in the hopes of keeping you confused.)

I’m fully aware that I can lead the horse to the water…

But if one is looking for clarity…
Searching for knowledge is the only way. Reading for one’s self from the mouths of those who know, rather than allowing someone like me, or a talking head, tell you what they think is the course you must take.  Otherwise you become a Useful Idiot (Lenin’s words, not mine).

I do not like to suggest reading material. I truly believe a persons search for truth is his and his alone… but a nudge might be welcomed. May be not. We’ll see. This is now the third time I have done so. I promise to restrain myself. I swear.  (I also have a simple law I live by… never, never, never recommend a book you haven’t read.  I will not.)

In Regard to Our founding:

The Founding Documents

Common Sense with The Age of Reason – An atheist for those who think we were founded by a bunch of “stupid” Christians.  Paine’s atheism does not come through… but simple minds discount brilliance for simple reasons, so I thought I’d mention it.

In regard to Free-market Capitalism:
Capitalism The Unknown Ideal
Capitalism and Freedom with Free to Choose

In Regard to Socialism:
The Communist Manifesto

Google/Bing/Search any of Lenin’s writings on Social Democracy, Imperialism etc. Visit the websites of The Communist Party USA and The Socialist Party USA.  Pay particular attention to what they want and who they endorse.  This will give you a current snapshot of who they are.  I will not provide links… I’m sure you can manage this on your own.

On the War between the Two:
Conflict of Visions

Fatal Conceit

On Understanding tactics of the Left:

Rules for Radicals

On the insipid argument that “times have changed” and the founders never anticipated the problems we face today:

The Federalist papers

When you listen to others absent critical thought, you allow them to tell you what to think.  (This, of course, includes what I say as well.)  There’s nothing wrong with listening as long as you do not trust what you hear.  The responsibility to be educated is yours.

The above recommendations simply scratch the surface.  But it is a start.  Even if you make it through only one of these, you’ll be better for it.  If you know you’ll read only one, I suggest Conflict of Visions.

I assume many of you have limited exposure to much of this and if you have run across some of these it was probably when you had little basis to understand it paired with no one equipped to explain it.  (I recently went back and reread many of the “classics” I was exposed to in middle and highschool.  It was amazing.  While remembering many of these stories they took on an entirely new, and previously not offered, meaning to me as an adult.)

If you can make it through this little primer it will lead you to many, many more writings.  Notice who these authors reference… look at who they listen to.  Find the references and read them too.

From this point forward when you watch MSNBC and you hear Romney will lose… then you watch FOX News and hear Obama will lose (which I’ve yet to hear… but I digress.), you will hear much more than before and be able to read deeper into what is being said.

I make no promise that it will alleviate confusion, but it will go a long way to understanding what’s going on right in front of you.  And… the difference between men.

As the Russians put it, the real meaning is in the white spaces.

Cheers.

Machiavelli

Politicians love to hate him.

We should hate that they love him.

It’s fascinating how Machiavelli has earned an evil reputation from those who employ his tactics most often.  The people who fling his name as an epithet then go on to preach “pragmatic” solutions to our problems…

Machiavelli was indeed a preacher of ruthless pragmatism.  But, only under certain circumstances.

For many of us our exposure to Machiavelli is limited to The Prince.  Often the instructors who assigned this brilliant gem did not understand it, or if they did they chose not to present their students with the piece in context.  The Prince was an application for employment.  Nothing more.  Niccolo had bills to pay, just like we do.  He needed work and at the time the only need for a political advisor was by a monarch (Lorenzo de’ Medici).  So he wrote “the rules” on how to be a prince hoping to get a paying gig.

His “solutions” to princely problems were simple for the most part.  Kill anyone who has claim to the throne along with their family… (lest you be killed.)  Tell your subjects whatever they want to hear then do what you need, or want, to do to manage your kingdom… (lest you be killed.)  Isolate and blame an external enemy, real or imagined, for any and all problems within the kingdom… (lest you be killed.)  Make compacts and or create ties with the powerful and wealthy kingdoms that could pose a threat to yours… (lest you be killed.)  There’s more… but I think you get it.

Considering this was the only type of working government in existence at the time, and one could assume a Prince valued his life, then these rules make sense when spelled out, right?

Aside from monarchy in principle and design, where is the evil?  We’re told it lies in the idea that “the ends (not being killed) justifies the means.”  I might agree… if a prince could just quietly slip away without fear that these rules would be applied upon him from another prince.  But at the time that was not an option.

That was then, this is now.

Fast forward…  Look around you and see all of the examples of these rules being used when there is no threat of death, only the loss of power.

The people we should fear most call this “Just Politics”.

The Statists champion free speech only so long as it’s speech they agree with.  Political administrations promise to “investigate and bring to justice” those who create the housing depressions, kill diplomats and sell guns to drug cartels, when it was they who did it and continue to do things similar.  The “occupy protesters” who preach love and tolerance yet grab, push, shout down and spit on those who disagree with them.  You see it in every politician who champions individual freedom yet insists you are too stupid to make decisions for yourself and must be led, or “nudged” to the “right” answers.  It’s every leader who creates diversions, changes the meaning of words and combines multiple issues in order to leave you, the public, confused and uninformed.

These are the tactics of Princes in waiting.  The only problem is our current leaders have nothing to lose but power over you.  Nobody is waiting in the wings to wipe them and their family out of existence.  This fact makes their behavior… well… Sinister.

Our politicians are fully aware such behavior buys them time until you lose interest.  Once you lose interest you forget.  When you forget, you vote for them again, and they keep their power…

Fortunately, today’s politics is not about life and death.  Unfortunately, today’s politics is about getting and keeping one’s power over others.  It’s about amassing huge amounts of wealth based on using government force to benefit your friends and punish your enemies.  (The U.S.Costitution, if followed and enforced, was designed to protect us from this.)  Based on his writings in Discourses on Livy, Niccolo believed that a republic was the preferred structure for government.  Although he doubted it could ever be sustained.

I think he may be right.

“My Credibility Is Not On The Line.”

“The World’s Credibility Is On The Line.” – Barack Obama 9/4/13 In reference to his “Red Line” comments made earlier this year and repeated, for the record, on the White House website.

The President should be given a break here.

Mr. Obama was simply doing the work of the world. Someone has to speak for the rest of the Nations, and he was only doing his part to communicate what he knows the Global Community wants to say. In other words, he’s doing the heavy lifting… the job Global Citizens will not do…

This addresses something I noticed during Obama’s first State of the Union Speech.

We have a little game we play during State of the Union Speeches… you draw words, and if they are used you drink.  I like to keep my Drinking games simple, it helps once you’re about an hour into them.

The words I drew were “I, Me and My”

I believed I had won the lottery because Presidents avoid such words.  Typically, they understand they are simply the Representative chosen to head the Executive Branch of Government.  It is always “Our, We, Together” etc.  As it should be.

However, It was not a win…

In fact, It was a painful evening… and I’m a professional.

That episode aside, it illustrates a mentality.  It demonstrates a certain level of Narcissism, or Ego, that can lead an individual into mistakes such as the current Syria debacle.

The above Elitist approach to governing can result in avoidable loss of life such as the events surrounding Fast and Furious, Benghazi etc.

Such a view of one’s self can allow an individual to turn a blind eye to the destruction of the Privacy of Others, as in the case of the NSA Domestic Spying Programs, or direct government intimidation and oppression as represented by IRS Targeting, Militarization of Local Police, TSA and DHS tactics.

While the President is just one person, it starts at the top.  Are Leaders tend to surround themselves with people who view the world in the same way.  (A noted exception was Mr. Bush’s appointment of Colin Powell.  But, if you recall, Bush was criticized for not following the advice of Powell.  The media demonized a Leader who strayed from surrounding himself with those he would disagree with.  I’m not a Bush “fan”, it’s just an interesting observation.  Make of it what you will.)

Elitists surround themselves with sycophants and then Demonize those that challenge the way they see themselves.  This results in appointments like John Kerry, allies like John McCain and attitudes exhibited by Nansi Pelosi and Harry Reid.  It also explains the destructive rhetoric leveled at men like Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, TEA Party Conservatives and Libertarians.  (For those of you out there that disagree with me here, please give an honest moment of thought regarding what these individuals and groups stand for.  You can find it easily with your googler.  Go directly to their sites… read their words verbatim… don’t allow someone else to tell you what they said or what they think.  It has been my experience that Evil does not view itself as such and will speak freely.  It Evil is there you’ll find it for yourself, in their own words without the careful editing, comedic or otherwise, from the opposition.)

With a little reflection one can pick out those Presidents, Senators and Congressmen (Our Representatives) that view themselves in this way.

Once you’ve decided you’re smarter than everyone else… it’s easy to then to decide you speak for the world.

So in his mind, why would his credibility be on the line?

I Am, because I Say So.

If I Think about it… I might not exist at all.

There is a War on Meaning in the country and it starts with Names, which are simply tools for understanding.

If you have read anything I’ve written In the past you might already suspect I will not be found having lunch with the “No Labels” crowd.  In fact, I believe Labels are an extremely important part of conceptualization and our ability to communicate complex ideas to each other.  If I can tell you I drove to work in my CAR, without having to explain the complexities of the internal combustion engine, and you understand what I’m talking about we have both saved a lot of time… my time telling you how I got to work, and yours trying to figure out how to walk away.

The same concept is used when Identifying yourself to others, and more importantly when speaking of others being able to Identify Them..  The reason we do this is to save a million unnecessary words while communicating a thought or idea.

Makes sense right? With me so far?

In fact, Labels are so important that our ability to apply them in the process of comprehending complex concepts is the only behavior separating us from the rest of the Animal Kingdom.

It makes us special… right up until we go to government school.  Then only some of us survive being told there is nothing special about us vs. the Silvery Minnow, Spotted Owl, Red Algae, etc..

Let me share some examples of the Destruction of Meaning I’m talking about here;

I feel drugs should be legal but Capitalism is Evil! – I am a Libertarian, because I Say So.

I Hate those people because of what they are saying! – I am Open Minded, because I Say So.

I feel those Anti-Abortion people should be thrown in jail! – I am Tolerant, because I Say So.

I feel other people, not me, can’t be trusted to make the decisions I feel are right! – I am Smart, because I Say So.

I’m a Progressive Liberal, but calling me a Socialist is ridiculous! – I am Enlightened, because I Say So.

Communism and Socialism are Completely Different! – I am Educated, because I Say So.

I get my news from the Daily Show! – I am Informed, because I Say So.

News Outlets that don’t seem to agree with my point of view should be forced to say things I feel are true! – I support the First Amendment, because I Say So.

I feel some new restrictions on the Second Amendment, First Amendment and Fourth Amendment by the courts is a good idea!  – I am a Constitutional Conservative Republican, because I, John McCain, Say So.

I feel we should all have equal rights as individuals without government interference in our lives! – I am a Democrat, only because I Say So… and my friends are… and I vote for Democrats… because it’s cool… right?

We can call ourselves anything we want… but it doesn’t make it so.  We don’t get to change the meaning of the labels… even though there are many, many people who try.

The problem is poor thinking, and labels with the meaning destroyed, leads us to do stupid (non-reasoned, irrational) things.  But we prefer the Label we think makes us “look good” among our peers.  Our social network is so important to us that we will not do anything to risk losing it.  So we try to assign our own, “new”, definition to a Label which already means something.  This is the War I’m talking about. (If you haven’t read any Eric Hoffer, do yourself a favor.  Amazon is a few key strokes away.)

Pro-Choice Catholics come to mind.  Tolerant Leftists and Scientists who believe in Consensus follow closely behind…  I’m sure you can think of many more examples I’m leaving out.

All I’m suggesting is we spend a considerable chunk of time thinking about what we think.  Then, we should be honest enough to admit where we fit in regardless of how it might offend our parents and friends.  This will also allow us to identify those who commit the crime of Murdering Meaning.  It’s a little scary at first, because Serial Meaning Murderers are everywhere.

One of my favorite philosophers once stated “A = A”.  Her point was; The Truth is The Truth.  This might surprise a number of Public School educators out there, but “2+2” cannot equal “5” no matter how hard the student tries, or wants, to make it so.  What we believe to be the truth can be, and often is, wrong.  The Universe simply doesn’t care about one’s self-esteem.  And, I feel that’s Mean.  Mean Universe! Mean!

Because,

I believe that I’m a Brilliant and worthy of praise by all…

I also believe I’m Sober most of the time… a Nice guy… Rich… Young… Good-Looking…
