Is Mexico Responsible for Anything?

I have a simple question.

Is Mexico responsible for anything?

Admittedly, it is difficult to lay complete blame for the drug violence on Mexico when we (the U.S. citizenry) are consuming the product of, and we (the U.S. government) are arming, the drug cartels. So let’s be generous and say “we” are responsible for 60% of the problem. Seem reasonable? So why do we only hear about our 60%? What about the other 40%?

(Update the below paragraph with “Caravans heading North”…)

Considering the lines outside emigration services yesterday it struck me that Mexico was doing nothing to help “legitimize” the status of the individuals in line. But to Mexico’s defense even if they had I’m not sure it would have been warmly received.  In fact, several of the “on scene” interviews sounded more like asylum cases in that the individual would run down a list of how inhospitable and outright dangerous Mexico is. The idea of going back, to them, would be cruel and unusual punishment for crime they did not commit.  While I personally enjoy Mexico and find it to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth… I do not necessarily disagree, but it lends to the larger issue.

Is Mexico responsible for anything?  If so, what?

Let’s say Canadians were flooding across the border for reasons of escape… (which in some medically related scenarios is not so far-fetched) would we be so tolerant of the Canadian government as to continuously find ways to blame ourselves? And since we’re on that topic… blame ourselves for what? Is it our fault that we cling to the final visage of Free-Market Capitalism in the world and the prosperity it promulgates, thus creating a more desirable alternative than the place these folks are escaping from?

So why are we quiet in regard to Mexico?

Why exactly is it not Mexico’s responsibility to create that same atmosphere for their citizens?  (The same applies to all Latin American countries given our current predicament.)

Why should Mexico be absolved of the international cry to improve their economy, create jobs and control crime repeatedly leveled at the U.S.?  It’s certainly not a lack of natural resources, ports, or favorable climate… It’s clearly not the lack of population or strong work ethic. So why?

Partly it is a U.S. media predisposed to self loathe U.S. success and prosperity. It simply is not in vogue to appreciate the Capitalist system our country was founded on, assuming they know what that is, or the riches realized from it. The flip side of that is a programmed desire not to criticize Socialist countries, not because it might make the country look bad but because they would have to look in the mirror and re-evaluate their personal beliefs.

The final aspect is Political Correctness and the fear of being labeled racist should anyone step up and offer the truth. They know the first Journalist to speak out loud that ‘Mexico shares the blame for our border problems and must own their economic woes will be labeled a bigot who hates… I don’t even know anymore… Mexicans? Hispanics? Latinos? Mayans? Aztecs? Spaniards? I mean seriously. The world is cosmopolitan. Having a Spanish surname means little here in the U.S. but the census still counts you as Hispanic… Why?  Because that’s how the money is handed out.  Rest assured, someone would be offended somewhere, so you’d be a bigot somehow.
All I’m asking for is reasoned, rational, discussion.

What I’m saying simply is there must be a focus on other countries responsibility when it comes to their citizenry and internal economic problems.

Unfortunately it seems all too easy to blame the U.S. for all the ills in the world, especially by our own journalists. When I say “easy”, I mean both comfortably and safely. They are comfortable because they believe it, and they are safe because they know as long as they blame the U.S. First… there will be no punishment directed at them from the industry of the offended.  The Antifa Fascists will be fine with it, so they know their houses will not be burnt down.

Think about the comments from the EU and how the problems they suffer are always the fault of United States.  The starvation and disease in Africa is our fault.  The illegal immigration problem right here in the U.S. is our fault… because, like every other country in the world including Mexico,  we don’t openly accept just anyone who crosses the border.  It’s stunning how the world expects us to bend in every way imaginable while they conduct themselves in a way of “business as usual”.

It’s also stunning that absolutely no attention is paid to how we became a country that could help those less fortunate on our borders… and around the world.  But here’s a hint… it wasn’t by giving all of our stuff away.

I am a Capitalist.  As such, this is not a cry to seal the borders and not let anyone in, or pull all of our Diplomats home.  On the contrary, I like tall fences and wide gates.  I expect to have access to the best products at the best prices for my self-determined needs.  Having emissaries abroad is important to communicate the benefits of freedom and liberty of the individual as well as aid those who wish to embrace it for themselves in their own countries.

But there needs to be rational and reasonable assessments when determining the foundation of problems lest no solutions can ever be arrived at.

Unless that’s the point.

(A repost from 8/16/12, since illegal immigration is now being used to destroy the Constitution’s Separation of Powers.  It’s dated, but brings up what I believe to be an important question.  What are we saying about Mexico?  Are we delaying a Revolution south of our Border?  If so, to whose benefit?  And if we are delaying a Revolution, is it serving to make Mexico, and Latin America as a whole, more Fragile?)

Report: U.S. Border Patrol Confirming Some of The “Unaccompanied Alien Children” Are MS-13 Gang Members…

Nothing to see here. Just keep using your Heart to make decisions and not your Brain. Feel Bad about being you… Just Feel Bad about everything… All The Time… and keep voting for Progressive Democrats and Progressive Republicans. Shhhh… Relax… it’s okay to let go… just let go…  and remember, you all agreed that ‘child’ means anyone under 26-years old… just let go…

La Gran Mentira

The big lie.

While posturing that “the borders need to be secured” neither party is willing to actually secure them.

Why?

Grab a Tecate, and let’s take a look at the Democrats first.

The Democrats see illegal immigrants as a huge potential voting block once legitimized.  They will never say this out loud, but amnesty is what they want and once that occurs it will be quickly followed by demanding voting rights.  Even if they fail to push through voting rights (they can always come back to that) there is an ancillary and enormous benefit they also will not tell you about.  If they are here legally they can become Union members whose dues are mandatory and used to support pro-labor (Socialist) political candidates.  It should cause some Democrat Union members dissonance when they find themselves supporting illegal immigration  (the guys taking “their” jobs)… but it seems it’s just part of the mental gymnastics required to be a Socialist.  It can never really be about the individual.

Now let’s look at the Republicans.

The Republicans see illegal immigrants as an incredibly effective tool to disrupt the stranglehold Unions have had on Agriculture, Manufacturing and the Trades.  Part of the reason we have seen an exodus in manufacturing from the U.S. to places distant is that Labor Unions have driven up the price of labor to the point where companies can longer afford to pay the wages and benefits and still make a profit they feel is large enough to justify the effort.  (I know I just uttered a dirty word to you Leftists out there but I beg you to learn a little bit about the profit motive and how it drives innovation bettering all of our lives.  Please.)  So the illegal workforce effectively cuts the legs out from underneath the Unions and allows us to pay $.99 for a head of lettuce.  (An aside:  Let’s think about this for a second.  Are we being led to believe that these workers who are willing to break the law in order to make money for their families back home want to turn this country into the place they had to leave in order to find work?  Or is it all of the “free” services like education, medical and welfare?  But… I thought the country’s north and south of us already provided that stuff.)

There is an answer to this problem.

Liberalize temporary work visa’s. (If I can go to the department of motor vehicles and get a credit card type driver’s licence made in ten minutes, then certainly we can have the same machine at points of entry for those who wish to work.)  Put a biometric component on the ID.  Easy.  The workers would be required to have the ID’s on them at all times just as we are when we travel to other countries.  The card would have to be renewed every six months after a brief stay in their home country or country of choice other than the U.S. (Similar to what ex-pats do in order to maintain their citizenship status here in the United States.)

Here’s the key:  The visa would not allow voting rightsIt would not allow for collectivization.  (If one would like those things then get in line and go through the process of becoming a citizen. If not… no worries, don’t get in line.) Those states wishing to attract these workers could simply pass right to work laws making it possible for them to work without having to join a Union.

Here’s the rub;

The Republicans don’t like this idea because it would drive the cost of low skilled labor up somewhat.  But more importantly they’re understandably afraid that if it was offered the cry would be for bipartisanship and compromise… which would lead to the workers ability to join a Union and vote in local elections first (this is already being worked on in the southern border states), then national elections in the name of “fairness”.

The Democrats don’t like the idea because on the outside chance that they don’t get some wonderful bipartisan compromise then they don’t get votes and money for Democrat politicians.  They would also lose an issue for the ignorant portion of their base who likes to believe that the “Old South” lives and they hate them mezkins and forners.  (It has always been funny to me that the “Old South” were all Democrats but I digress.)

So… We’ll just keep things as they are so both parties have something to talk about aside from their driving the U.S. into fiscal oblivion with their Statist entitlement programs.

Either way, it leaves open an even bigger question.

When does it become Mexico’s responsibility to create an environment their citizens wish to live and work in?  I thought the Socialists had this all worked out.

It’s not so Odd when you consider the primary contributors to all Chamber of Commerce organizations are Small (50 employee) to Medium Businesses which are being squeezed by a flood of new EPA and OSHA regs. not mention ICE raids.  And their primary loss of business, ie. competition, is from micro-businesses which employ the above cheap labor but escape scrutiny because they are so small.  The rub is We the People do not want to pay the far higher prices for similar work just because our government is Fascist.  (The Government owns the businesses through regulation.)  So the National Chamber is lobbying to reform immigration in order to try to help their patrons survive.  Because the Chamber is of the mind that there is no use trying to fight the Government… which is what they SHOULD be doing.

Who ARE these people “just following orders”?

When did “Fed’s” become some nebulous, undefinable, term?

“Fed’s drop plane load of Illegal’s in El Paso.”

Believe it or not, there are real human beings flying those airplanes!

There are flesh-and-blood people opening the doors and allowing those Illegal Aliens to go free from the jails and into the streets of the United States.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE!?

I WANT NAMES!

This is exactly the problem with Big Federal Government…  anything can be done to you under complete darkness.
I realize flooding the US with Illegals has always been on the Second Term Agenda of the Obama Administration. I realize that creating an exponential explosion of Welfare Recipients is the intent. I realize that turning that new class of individuals in Democrat Voters is the End Game.

What I want to know is Who… actual names and faces… is assisting the Administration is doing this?

Does anyone own a Camera? A Phone with one?

Seriously! When was the last time we were offered up the excuse “I was just following orders!”?

Stop allowing these people to hide behind the name ‘Fed’s’.

Stop It!

If we’re going to allow the Leftists in the country to completely Destroy all Hope of Returning to the Greatest Country on Earth Based on Enlightenment Philosophy… If we’re going to accept the idea that Mexico should not be held responsible for their Citizens as well as removing any expectation what so ever that they Embrace Capitalism as it is the only cure for their, and their populations, problems, If we’re just going to GIVE UP…

I want to know exactly Who it is that’s helping the Socialists Do It to us!

Who are You People!?

We Deserve to Know!

Either Stand Up and take Responsibility…

Or Stop following Orders!

If you’re one of these Pilots… if you’re one of these Crew… if you’re a Border Patrol Agent… IF YOU’RE ANYONE WHO SO MUCH AS PICKS UP A PHONE…

Wake Up!

As Alinsky said, ‘Personalize It’.  All the way down to the guy that opened the cell, waved them through or Invited Them In without making the necessary changes in immigration policy.

This is Lawless… and I WANT TO KNOW WHO IS HELPING THIS ADMINISTRATION BREAK THE LAW… because the Law, as much as Eric Holder would like it to be, is NOT WHATEVER THEY SAY IT IS AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT.

This is just another shot at Obama’s “please impeach me” dare.
