On the heels of what was a fantastic speech, you would think Ted Cruz had just betrayed everything he believed in.

On the contrary.

Ted Cruz stood up for what he believed in.

Those of us who have supported Cruz for doing exactly that in the Senate… are left wondering what the rest of you thought would happen?

While it would have made terrific TV if Cruz had walked out and said, after releasing his speech earlier which he did, “I endorse Donald Trump for President!” and shut up for the ten minutes of applause, Ted is not about Great TV.

Trump is about great TV.

Which is why he made his unnecessary appearance at the end of Cruz’ speech.

Well… I’m not sure it was great TV. It might have been a bit more sage to ask Ted for a video, like the one Rubio provided, and then determine whether or not to run it.

Cruz stood up for the very principles the rest of us have been searching the words of Donald Trump for. Donald has yet to provide any of us the firm ideological foundation those of us who think about these things daily would like to see, feel, hear… something. Ted Has.

I will vote for Trump only because Clinton is a known entity… and Trump is not.

I will not be voting for Trump because of his well thought out admiration for Enlightenment Governing Theory and his steadfast resolve to promote the individual above a rightly, constitutionally, restricted government.

Want to argue with me? Please do. I invite it.

All this being said… the predictions from the Establishment Republican Mouthpiece Karl Rove that Ted’s career (an elected position I will remind you) is Over, are being tossed around as if Rove had the ability to fire him personally.

What you need to remember, because I know you already know this, is the Establishment RINO wing of the Republican Party HATES Cruz. They Hate Cruz more than they hate Trump. They view Trump as a buffoon, a clown, PT Barnum, a cartoon character who can be manipulated and ‘led’ to the ‘pragmatic’ point of view. They see him as a deal maker, in his own words, and nothing more. Ted on the other hand is an individual who does principled things like not endorse a guy who leveled personal attacks on him and his family when summoned to do so at the GOP Convention. Did you think the guy who filibustered for over 14 hours on the Senate Floor making his opposition clear to the Establishment Republicans that he would not bend a knee to them would do anything else.  You did?  Then you need to think more.

In the end, the Trump crew knew what Ted was going to say. They had the ability to stop it. Instead they permitted Ted the Prime Time spot, in my opinion, with the hopes of embarrassing him.

I’m not entirely sure that happened. But what I do know happened is they put him, I believe intentionally, in a box.  His decisions were limited to three options.  Refuse and look like Kasich… Endorse and be roundly criticized for compromising his values… or refuse to endorse and be roundly criticized for not supporting Trump.  In the end, I do not believe time will paint Cruz as having done anything but give a terrific speech. (Which it was. Don’t think so? Then you’re Trump blind… listen to it, better yet READ IT again. Or, find comfort in your intentional ignorance and remain the ass-hat you are.  It was a great speech.)

Cruz has laid his principles, and his bets, on the table…. brilliantly.

If Trump Wins and turns out to not be what everyone has fantasized about, because no one, not you, not me, not anyone on Earth has direct evidence of anything else… Cruz wins.

If Trump Loses and Hillary solidifies the complete Socialization of America… Cruz Wins.

If Trump Wins and turns out to be an Amazing Guardian of the Constitution as written, and rolls back the Socialist Schemes of the last 100-years… Cruz Wins, as do we all.

This is what happens when you have a firm footing in the Ideology of Personal Liberty and Freedom.

Ted Cruz has that.

The Establishment Hates him for it. (Because they are Leftists.)
Trump is mad at him for it. (Right now.)
The Democrats fear him for it. (Because they should.)

Can there be any better endorsement for one’s future in the politics of American Exceptionalism?

Of course not.

Ted Cruz was invited to the Convention to be Embarrassed.

He still showed up.

And, he delivered an Amazing Speech based on the principles that those demonizing him today would profess to be their own.

Thad Cochran Wins Democrat Nomination in Mississippi!

Last night in a hard fought Mississippi run off election Thad Cochran won the Democrat Nomination for the Republican Senate Seat in that state.

I had the chance to speak with Senator Cochran shortly after he was notified of his win.

“Senator, How do you feel tonight after your successful bid for the nomination?”

Cochran:  “Nomination? For What?”

“Well Sir… you just won the Nomination for…”

Cochran:  “Maybe YOU can tell me Mary!”

“Sir, my name is Mike.  I’m with makeaneffort and I’m here to…”

Cochran:  “Okay Steve, you tell me then.  There is poop in my pants!”

“Sir?”

Cochran: “There’s poop in my pants son.  Who did it?”

“Senator, I don’t think…”

Cochran: “I don’t care what you think!  I want to know who did this in my pants!”

“Um… congratulations on your win Sir.”

Cochran: “I heard the Blacks voted for me once.  Blacks!  I wonder if they pooped my pants? You have a funny look on your face Larry… did YOU poop in my pants?”

“No Senator, I did not.  And indeed there was a huge number of Democrats who voted for you which is why you won the Republican Nomination for the Mississippi Senate Seat.  Democrats of every color.  Some say they made up almost 30% or more of your votes.”

Cochran:  “You talk too much, but I like you! 

“Thank you Senator, but how do you feel about winning with Democrat votes?”

Cochran: “I’m going to name a school after you Mike!”

“Well Sir, that would be kind but I don’t think I need to have a…”

Cochran:  “Not you Jerry, that woman behind you.”

“Of course.  Sorry for being presumptive.  Sir, do you see why the American people see no difference between the parties when Democrats choose the Republican Nominees for Senate Seats?”

Cochran: “Are we finished here?  I have something in my pants.”

“Yes Sir, thank you for your time.”

Cochran – off mic:  “Karl, Karl!  Did YOU put something in my pants!?”

Rove – off mic:  “…unintelligible… calm down Thad.  Come with me to the bathroom then we’ll go get some Ice Cream.  Does that sound nice?”

Cochran – walking away: “I like strawberry.  Will they have strawberry?  What stinks?”

You Can’t Fix Stupid

The Idea that you can Fix The Single Piece of Legislation that is Destroying the Finest Health Care System in the World and replacing it with a Huge New, Expensive, Heartless, Nameless, Faceless Bureaucracy is Asinine.

But That’s Where the Establishment Republicans are.

There is no Fix to Obama Care.

The only Solution to the Catastrophe Obama Care has created is Full Out Repeal!

Nothing Less.

Once we have cleansed ourselves of this Leftist Scheme to wrest control of you and your Health Habits, not to mention your money, we can move forward with Free-Market remedies to Pre-Existing Conditions and Portability. Only Then.

Not a single Republican Vote was cast in favor of this… if you recall the Republicans Were Shut Out of Committee Meetings regarding the Legislation!

Yet now we see Establishment Republicans supporting the idea it can be “Fixed”? It’s as if we have found ourselves in an alternative Universe.

At the head of this New Normal is none other than Karl Rove.

I have to confess, I am tired of hearing the intentional confusion being sown by “The Architect”.  I’m to the point of turning him off the moment I see him.  He is so disingenuous it is difficult to listen… and knowing that there are people out there accepting his subversion as guidance only serves to further my frustration.

Why am I focusing on Rove?

Because we can at least vote out Establishment Republicans who are members of Occupy Washington.  Rove however appears to be a favorite of both Democrats and ill-informed Republicans alike, and he can’t be dealt with at the ballot box.

It’s time to recognize the Affordable Care Act for what it is… an Epic Legislative Abortion.

Just Appear to Care

After Listening to Rep. Renee Ellmers’, a TEA Party candidate when she Won her Seat, go above and beyond to defend Amnesty for Illegal Aliens it caused me to think a little bit more about this issue and a much, much Larger One.

First, The push back Ellmers received should be a wake-up call for all those who courted, and received, TEA Party support when winning their seats.

Just because you ran and won as a TEA Party Candidate does Not Mean You Get a Pass when it comes to representing those who voted for you.  This is a NEW DAY in politics.  You should expect to be Held Accountable for your Actions once in office.  I realize this concept is completely foreign to the modern political class, but how did Nancy Pelosi put it?  Oh, right… “Embrace the Suck”.

It is long past due to put “Representative” back into Representative Republic.  And that Folks is Why the TEA Party is Hated by every Democrat and 80% of the Current Republican Party.

Second, I have tapped about this in the past.  Le Gran Mentira goes a long way to explain our Relationship with Mexico as well as Is Mexico Responsible for Anything?.

So I’ll leave that alone and you can read those by clicking on the links… if you care.

But there seems to be some Additional Confusion being suffered by those Republicans who are currently supporting Amnesty… or whatever name they are giving it so they can avoid calling it what it is.

It is no secret that the various Chambers of Commerce nationwide tend to represent Small and Medium Business’.  And, it should go without saying that they are logically “pro-business”.  At least one would Hope unless something has Changed.

So one might ask, Why when unemployment is Extremely High (gaming of the unemployment numbers can’t even provide a good rate at this point) would the various Chamber’s want to import 20 Million New Workers into the U.S and hand them Citizenship with all its commiserate rights?

Well here’s why…

These Business Owners live under the illusion that a large immigrant population here “legally” will be working for the low wages the illegal workers are working for now.

This leap of logic is beyond comprehension, but that’s what’s driving this push from the Chamber’s, and the Small and Medium Businesses, who support this push.

It’s Ignorance on a Profound level.

(Do you remember in grade school when you had mastered addition?  When 2+2=4 became easy?  When suddenly your teacher gave you problems that had more than one number in them… so 2+2+9=?… and you thought it was really hard?  Too many of us never quite got past that way of thinking and never learned to solve those problems. (It’s 12 by the way.  I got the problem from a Common Core math assignment.  But don’t worry, You get partial credit for just trying.)  Experience has taught me you don’t have to be smart to own a business… this may just be more proof.)

The only result of allowing a huge influx of what can only be considered citizens into the United States is an explosion of Union Members as well as new Leftist Voters.  That’s it.

Well, that’s not quite “it”.  There will also be an Explosion of new Welfare Recipients…

…which is why as a Libertarian Type I stray from the Doctrine and do Not support Open Borders.  The Poison Pill of Entitlement’s for those who do not work or Overburden Society by being rewarded for mortgaging other people’s productivity destroys the opportunity to throw the borders open to all who want to come and go at their leisure.  The fact our safety net has become a Day Care prevents us from exploring what would otherwise be a terrific chapter in our history.

Also take into account, We Already have illegals Voting in Elections across the U.S.  We already have illegals taking Welfare from this country.

Can we afford to elect More People who will simply accelerate this?  Can we afford to support legislation that promotes this because we were never good a math and it just sounds so nice?

Because that’s what we’re doing.

But all of this brings us to a much larger Issue.

If there is any doubt left in your mind that the Establishment Republicans and the Democrats are the same, makeaneffort at reason.

Amnesty:  Supported by Democrats.  Supported by Establishment Republicans.

IRS Targeting:  Supported by Democrats.  Becoming clear it is also Supported by Establishment Republicans.

NSA Domestic Spying:  Supported by Establishment Republicans.  Becoming clear it is also Supported by Democrats… so long as it doesn’t happen to them.  Right Diane Feinstein?

Obama Care:  Supported by Democrats.  Supported by Establishment Republicans.  (This Alone should serve as a warning.  Obama Care is the single most destructive Legislation we have seen in most of our lifetimes.  You can’t “Fix” Stupid.  It the ACA is Stupid.)

Spending us into Oblivion:  Supported by Democrats.  Supported by Establishment Republicans.

Militarizing DHS:  Supported by Establishment Republicans.  Supported by Democrats.

Government Enforced Wage Rates:  Supported by Democrats.  Becoming clear they are also Supported by Establishment Republicans.

What should you take away from this?

Both Political Parties have become so accustomed needing only the Appearance of Caring in order to get Elected that all connection to our Founding Ideology has been severed.  Now the only philosophy which remains is Socialism… on all sides… or rather, just one side.

It’s time for the Political Revolution we are witnessing right before our eyes.

The fact we take it seriously is reflected in our holding people like Ryan and Ellmers’ feet to the fire.

The Waiting is Over.

It’s Happening Now.

Call it the TEA Party Revolution, call it the “We Can’t Take it Anymore! Revolution”, call it Whatever you Want, just…

You just keep taking the Hits and look at us with an expression of “I’m trying really hard…”

What is the last major Roll-Back of a Socialist Scheme foisted upon the American People?

You might say “Welfare Reform”.  I’ll give you partial credit… but what has happen to that “reform” over the last several years?

How did That happen?

Or how about this one… Obama Care is now the Law of the Land, we’ll just have to accept it and Try to Fix it.  Hey Bozo’s, Slavery was once the Law of the Land.  Did we just have to accept that and Try to Fix it?

Name a Victory for the Individual beyond what the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights attempts to guarantee.. I’ll wait.

That’s what I thought.

Waiting for the next Progressive Scheme to be implemented so you can walk to a microphone a say “Darn it… We tried.” is unacceptable.

Since you seem to emulate the Democratic Socialists in almost every other arena you should have taken the single most important page out of their play book.

Never give up.  Never.  Never.  Never.

Yet those of you we have sent forward to Champion Liberty, Freedom and Free Markets have adopted the position of concession after concession resulting in decade after decade of Defeat.  You have now embraced the Socialist concept of Balkanization as the only viable way to get your guys elected.  In fact, the person mainly responsible for this fundamental shift from Communicating Freedom and Choice to leveraging groups against each other is your guy Karl Rove.  For his Two Skin-of-the-teeth Presidential wins you gave him the odd nickname of “The Architect”.  (At the time I suggested “Guy Who Barely Wins Elections” but apparently it just wasn’t catchy enough.  Maybe too long, maybe too Native American?)

In the end, the only thing you’ve made clear for us is You RINO’s would rather play golf than dismantle all that threatens the Liberty of the Individual.  Which, makes YOU a threat to the Liberty of the Individual.  Pretty simple.

So there’s your answer Gentlemen and Ladies.  YOU are Why the TEA Party exists.  Pat yourselves on the back.

But, of course, your denial will prevent you from seeing the truth.

Along the same lines, it’s interesting to watch you tell the World the TEA Party needs to come over to your house to play.  The idea of compromising one’s principles, whether inside or outside of your party, as an acceptable approach to defending the Constitution is appalling… but I understand your confusion considering it is now all you know.  (Right John?)

If any of you, if you’re honest enough with yourself to know who you are, happen to be reading this I suggest it’s time for you to Follow or Get out of the Way.  You had your chance to Lead, and you’ve lead us to where we are today.

Between you and me, I prefer you just get out-of-the-way.

You’ve demonstrated repeatedly that none of you can be trusted to defend us against those who seek control.

I know most of you don’t want to go home… so cash in your chips, pull up a seat at the Dubliner and stay there.  Most of you already know the songs.

Hey “Taxed Enough Already” Guys…

Remember your Fight stops at the Primaries.

Anything after that becomes self-destructive.

However, don’t think for one second that Rove et al. fail to recognize this fact as the only Rational way forward and aren’t trying to game it intending to keep themselves and the McCain’s of the World in Power.  (The Republican Establishment and “Republican’s In Name Only – RINO’s” rely on you listening to People like Rove.  I have expressed my feeling regarding Rove in the Past.  No need to run over that horse again, and again.)

The Establishment’s desire to remain in Power is certainly not lost on me.

So I understand why they would not support TEA Party types like Cruz, Lee and Paul.

But an attack came from an unexpected place today.  And, I need to address it.

Dr. Sowell is being hailed by some in the Establishment for “attacking” Ted Cruz.

It is Rare indeed that I disagree with the Legendary Thomas Sowell…

But this is one of those times.

Apparently Dr. Sowell is upset with Ted Cruz for “forcing” a vote on the Debt ceiling that demanded Certain Republicans to “go on the record”.  He is also upset with the overall approach Cruz has adopted to make Republicans state overtly through their actions what exactly they believe in.

In response to Dr. Sowell I would say “Tough!”.  It has been the Republicans constant effort to run away from Ideological stances and instead embrace Bipartisanshitt and Compromise.  I shouldn’t have to remind any of you that very behavior is what has landed the country where it is today.

While I agree that an Individual’s performance should be weighed in totality, being “on the record” is the only metric we can use when weighing said Individual.  I believe Dr. Sowell would be better served demanding Politicians possess a firm Ideological Foundation, preferably one born of the Enlightenment, and not what they have now which are Cardboard Castles built on Sand.

That being said, Dr. Sowell has a point once we head into a General Election.  Just enough Unity is required to get us to the next Primary.

So Break out the Clothespins.

You’re going to need them because you’ll be faced with voting for people who fail to measure up.

Just remember that another Primary is right around the corner.  And that is where the work must be done.

This should not be misconstrued to mean Incumbent Politicians who have behaved badly yet appear to be slightly better than their Primary Opponent should be left in office.  Quite the contrary.  There is a tangible benefit to voting out a Republican who may be only slightly better than their challenger as judged by their actions.  That benefit is the lesson of Measurement and Punishment.  Keep in mind, the person just voted in, while possibly a lessor candidate, learns that lesson as well… as do other Incumbents across the Nation… and it will go a long, long way in regard to how they Represent us .  This works because they become fully aware they could be next.

Primaries are an Extremely Important part of the Electoral Process.

Primary Elections have been intentionally diminished in the American Mind over many decades.  The preferred paradigm that has been fostered by the Establishment offers a sense of Job Security for Incumbents with the assurance that their parties will not support, with votes, money or influence, Primary Challengers regardless of what that Politicians Constituency desires.  This Destructive Promise must be removed from the process if we’re ever to return to the Nation our Founders intended us to be.  Clearly those Republicans who have surrounded themselves with the trappings of Power and Influence as a result of holding an office for an extended period of time would not agree…

Again… “Tough!”.

However, Stop There!

Because once the Primaries are over, we should never voluntarily Fall on Our Sword.

Even Dr. Sowell seems to agree…

and He remains one of my Hero’s.

Cruz on the Cross…

or Filibuster!

The most interesting aspect of Ted Cruz’ Filibuster this afternoon is not so much what he is saying as Who is coming out against him.

If you’re not sitting by a TV with a pen… or passing one between your work duties… and taking names then you don’t get it.

Now is the Time to come to the aid of your Party!

Jot down those “Republicans” that are lobbying against, or coming right out and condemning Cruz for what he is doing.

The names on your sheet are the problem. Not Cruz.

Those Pol’s coming out in open support need YOUR support. Send them money. Vote for them. Tell all your friends to vote for them.

While I expect it from Rove and McCain, Sadly I’ve had to listen to the beautiful Noelle Nikpour lament the fractionalization within the party. I’ve listened to others complain that Cruz et al “don’t come to the meetings”…  Even Dana Perino has let it slip that Obama Care should be “reformed” and not repealed all together.

Good!

While I may have to revise my political crush list, I hope they ALL come out of the closet.

I shouldn’t have to remind all of you complainers that’s How We Got Here!

There is no better time than Right Now! The Future of this Country is at Stake. We are faced with the implementation of the last vital part of making us a full-fledged Socialist Country with No Return to the way we were founded possible.

If you’re still subscribing to the “Can’t we all just get along?” mantra… if you’re crying because there just isn’t enough “Bipartisanship”… the You Are The Problem. Help us Help You… be Honest with Yourself and Switch Parties.

There is no way to Defund Obamacare

Or, an Open letter to Congress.

Dear RINO’s,

OK.

You might be right.

But that’s not the point… and you, the Establishment Republicans, know it.

The point is to figure out Who is on the side of Socializing Health Care and Who is not.

The Democrats are a known entity. No mystery, or closet Socialists, there.

It’s you, Establishment Republicans, who fear being forced to admit your true beliefs, especially heading into an election cycle… particularly when we are paying attention…

The other point here is to fight every fight… every day… every hour… for the Constitution and the Freedom our Founders intended us to demand.

Socialized Health Care is exactly the opposite of the founding intent. Controlling humans beings is not an Enlightened theory of Government.

Individual Liberty is at stake… Obama Care is the Crown Jewel of Socialism. It is the last piece of a complete surrender to an Elitist/Progressive government that we can never turn back from.

It is the worst possible policy to embrace.  Accepting it in any form is subscribing to the Socialist Paradigm.  The entire thing must be scrapped and only then can we focus on Personal and Portable.

And don’t fool yourself, we know there are plenty of people calling themselves Republican who enjoy the trappings of Socialist ideas such as class stasis and control over the Individual… not to mention the wealth accumulated by having both.

If for nothing else, vote to defund it so we know who are friends of Liberty and Freedom,

and especially those who are Not.

Karl Rove is Not an Answer.

Karl Rove won two Presidential Elections for Republican George Bush.

Barely.

It wasn’t the messaging… it wasn’t a “Big Idea”… and It certainly was not Free-Market Capitalism.

It was gaming the numbers.

He has promoted, and continues to promote, the exact same tactics.

Is it any wonder that the general public has no idea what the difference is between the two parties… because what difference does it make?  And, the similarities confuse the best of us.  If both parties are indeed on the Same Ship and all Mr. Rove was able to do is move the cargo around to get the ship to list slightly to the right then what are we talking about here?

Mr. Rove is a smart man. This can be said of many political strategists.

But Mr. Rove has built his reputation on gaming the system… not leading with universal principles unifying the population.

It is time we move on from this type of politics, and this type of strategy.

Mr. Rove would have you believe that no election could ever be won trying to explain why Freedom and Liberty of the Individual combined with Free-Market Capitalism is the exact Ideology the Nation Must Embrace. So don’t bother trying. Just keep paying him and his protégés to play the numbers.

I’m not ignorant… I understand that value of such an approach. But these people must fill a secondary role, not the primary one. In fact, they should be asked to return to the dark back room from whence they came.

With the advent of a 24-hour news cycle and the constant search for educated voices to comment on current political trends people like Karl Rove have become the “rock stars” of Politics. This must change.

It is time to return to explaining clearly the differences between the governing philosophies. If this Great Experiment in Self Governing is to be saved then we must promote those voices who can Simply, Powerfully and Directly explain to the public what the country was founded on. We must explain, explain, explain what Capitalism actually is… not what Leftists want you to think it is. We must repeat, repeat, repeat what it means to be Free and why that necessitates a profoundly smaller and far more limited Government. It is exactly that redundancy, redundancy, redundancy which will save this country.

Karl Rove is welcome to join the above effort… I would have Cigars and Bourbon waiting for him in the little room at the back of the office.

Meanwhile the only folks I would have in front of the camera’s are those whose foundation is firmly planted in Fiscally Conservative, Constitutionally Originalist and Libertarian Principles.

Being “Taxed Enough Already” was, and still is, a very easy concept to understand.  It unifies us… even those who don’t pay taxes.

It’s time to Think about what we Think…  not just how we can manipulate the numbers in order to win.

Mr. Rove and his consultant class have had their day.  Cheers to them.

Now we need to raise a Pint to Enlightenment.
