Spotting an Elitist. -The EU edition.

About half way through my life I realized I had spent most of it trying to figure out who to believe.  In fact, I still spend an inordinate amount of time on this.  I have never required someone to agree with me to find them believable, trustworthy and interesting.  Actually, I find relief in surrounding myself with people who challenge my thinking.  If they are willing to do that, then they are willing to tell me the truth.

But I have come to some red flags, so to speak, which have saved me from a number of those who I call Elitists.  These are the people who most often don’t tell you the truth because they don’t know what it is.  However, they know whats best for you.  And you can’t trust them because they will do whatever they think they have to for your own good.  “The best of intentions” crowd.  They should all have tattoo’s on their foreheads reading “You need us.”

I don’t subscribe to the idea that there are a ton of truly sinister people out there purposefully lying directly to your face… why risk that when they can get the intellectually lazy Elitists to do it for them?  The genuine Leftists search out those people fitting certain criteria and then fill their heads with crap which they promptly go and spew on you with righteous entitlement.  We all know these people… they are the ones who are full of opinions they can’t defend and most importantly don’t think they should have to.  When asked, they resort to a myriad of rhetorical devices to make you feel ignorant, mean-spirited or both.

After decades of in-depth clinical research I have found these individuals can be grouped roughly as follows:

The genius by virtue of Geography. When I grew up/lived in/traveled to (fill in the blank) it makes me smarter than you.  – We all know this guy.  (By the way, I type in gender neutral.)  Simply due to the fact that he was born, lived or traveled through a specific place he is the most informed person on every issue regardless of topic.  The coastal areas of the U.S. supply us with a large number of these types.

The genius by virtue of Profession. – You can’t possibly teach me anything.  Many of us know these guys as well…  often they are professional in their field.  Stock Brokers, Doctors, Lawyers, Scientists, Cowboys whatever.  Since they have genuinely mastered a very specific area of complexity, they are geniuses in all things.  Often these types will view you as ridiculously uninformed while they themselves establish barricades to challenging information.  They interpret your respect of their accomplishments in their area of expertise as validation of their genius in all things.  I must disclose that a great many of my best friends are professionals but they do not suffer from this elitist mentality else they would not be my friends.  So don’t take offense you guys… you know who you are.

The genius by virtue of Caring. – There is nothing for me to learn that my heart doesn’t tell me and you are mean… and just dumb you dummy dumb-dumb…  These are the people we typically see at demonstrations of various types holding the peace signs… with flowers… and rainbows.  We can usually find nine or ten of these people occupying a park we don’t use or walking down a road with a sign which makes no sense.  You know them.  They are out there saving people from themselves or saving those who have not asked to be saved.  They chant slogans in the hopes of being acknowledged.  Simply put, they care more about everything than you do so they do not need to educate themselves on issues, particularly the ones they are currently championing.  The only knowledge they need is the deep pain they feel in their hearts over everything humans do.  This “feeling” is how they know that they are doing something meaningful… and you are stupid and mean.  And, because you work, bathe and cut your hair it’s clear you don’t care.

The genius by virtue of Inheritance. – I have money therefore I am.  I actually find these types entertaining and will engage them every once in a while.  These are the guys that inherited a ton of money and have no idea how it was made.  Sure, they were around when their parents created the wealth (unless of course their parents fit into this definition as well) but were not involved in the business even though they FEEL like they were.  As an aside, if their parents fit into this category it is astonishing to me these guys have anything left over as it usually gets spent before the kids see any of it.  Anyway, these are the fun drunks.  They buy all the drinks and agree with any idea ever put in front of them… like “it would be a good idea to open up a sequin mine… or become professional cat waxers”.  All they have had to do is be semi-tolerable and act like they’re brilliant… the money is already there whenever they want it, they just need “friends”.

The genius by virtue of being Alive. – I’m fabulous and you’re stupid for not agreeing with me.  These folks are everywhere!  They are prolific!  There is no required age, or income, or for that matter intelligence.  They recognize their own brilliance because they are ALIVE!  They have the latest cell phone, but they can’t tell you how it’s made.  They saw the latest movies but cannot tell you who is running for President and why.  They have the latest laptop but have no idea what makes it run… hell, they don’t need too!  They’re cool just because!  They can give you a 20 minute dissertation on Kim Kardashian’s rear end and its societal significance but can’t tell you how a policeman gets paid.  They have never read a book but update their Facebook page five times a day.  They consider the ability to download music a “skill”.  They think texting while driving should be outlawed… for other people.  (Same with guns, and “mean” dogs, and food that makes you fat, etc.)

So… Why do we need to identify these folks?

Because they VOTE, which directly effects us… and we run the risk of them having influence over others who vote as well.  It’s our job as individuals to recognize and clean up the intellectual mess they leave behind.

It also goes a long way in QUICKLY determining who you can trust.

What if it’s not the Russians? (Previously: Picking a Fight with the CIA…)

One must ask why.

While the release of the ‘CIA Sucks Report’ was a foregone conclusion given Diane Feinstein’s drive to leave a parting gift to her Leftist base…

I remain convinced the timing of the report was designed to remove Jonathon Gruber from the headlines and allow the mainstream liberals something else to put on the evening news.  (I continue to believe Gruber, and his honesty about how Liberals see American’s, is profoundly damaging.)

That aside, the report begs the question “Why?”.

Why would you rehash what we already know?

Why would you emphasize enhanced terrorist interrogation techniques and our efforts to keep them alive while in captivity such as Rectal Feeding?  (I would remind you all that there are certain restaurants in Feinstein’s own San Francisco specializing in that very thing.)

Why would you give additional specific information allowing the remaining Terrorist A-holes to cross reference and pinpoint those involved?

I believe this fight started with Benghazi. It continued with the summary ‘execution’ of the Afghanistan Chief of Station’s career by officially outing his name.

And, the apparent conflict is being taken to a brand new level with the release of this report.

Is the CIA not being cooperative enough with the Socialists in our Government?

Might they have issues with how they are being tossed under the bus by an Administration that practises Drone Diplomacy?  Our deteriorating relationship with Israel?  Allowing North Korea and Iran to acquire Nuclear Weapons and the means to ‘deliver’ them?  Our inability to keep secrets?  Our ceding the Middle East to the Terrorists after shedding American Blood to keep it out of their hands?

Are our covert Agencies not being quiet enough when it comes to the murder of our Diplomat and security personnel in Benghazi?  Could it be they are not on board with the Administration, and the rest of the Leftists, who didn’t want to appear ‘aggressive’ to the rest of the world by providing adequate security?

Is this just another attempt to paint Bush as a Domestic Terrorist since we are ‘all citizens of the world’ according to our own home-grown Socialists?

I believe it’s all the above.

Feinstein thinks, because of her retirement, she is now beyond the reach of the American people, and this is a flying f-you to the very agency and agencies she over saw.  The very same Agencies whose techniques she previously, and repeatedly, approved of.

The Covert folks do not seem interested in being quiet about how this Administration is conducting itself. They are not interested in being hung out to die… so to speak.

They do not seem interested in continuing to do what they must while being used as political pawns in a game that is decidedly anti-capitalist.

There a was a time that many of us could fool ourselves into thinking that those who professed to be Socialists were doing so in order simply to get elected.

Now many of us, and I must conclude those in the intelligence services as well, are finding out those they thought to be donning a cloak of Progressive Populism are in fact… serious.  And the very folks that put their lives on the line for the rest of us everyday are suffering in the worst ways because of it.  Add to this that many of those we thought were Constitutional Loyalists are nothing of the sort.

We are watching the Republic crumble, and lives are being lost as a result.

Are we witnessing an awakening by those that keep the secrets?

Possibly… but I’m wrong more often than I’m right.

However, there is no doubt that a dark war has started in D.C.

Bits of it are finding sunlight.

It seems the Left wants it that way.  What do they stand to gain?

Is it an attempt at a purge?

Are the Progressives trying to consolidate power as they have been trying to do in the Military?

Gruber Government

From the anals of Washington Elitist Government comes the latest in ‘How to get things done when the American Public is just too Stupid to understand‘.

This is why Cynicism is the Only, Constant and Always method to view those we elect… especially those we vote for.

Republican Leftist Paul Ryan has joined Democrat Leftist Progressive Nancy Pelosi in the Jonathan Gruber School of Governing with his latest demand that you will only be allowed to see what’s in the Obamatrade Act after your representatives Pass it.

I don’t believe you need to be reminded what a debacle Obamacare is… and getting worse. So I won’t.

Now we’re told that we are again too stupid to be allowed to see what’s in a sweeping, certainly not limited to what we would think is “trade”, Trade Act before we are all subject to it.

From what small snippets have been leaked, and adding together soundbites from the three people who have at least gone down to the Capital Dungeon to ‘read’ it, there is enough for everyone to hate. The Washington Elites would tell you “That’s how the sausage is made, and it represents a ‘Good Compromise‘.” I would offer it is also how fecal matter is made and represents the very same… just like Obamacare.

So we are told by a supposed “Conservative” that we must pass it to see what’s in it.

Clearly the Democrats who oppose it are not interested in ‘passing it to see what’s in it’… primarily because they are not at all sure they will hold the Presidency in the next term, and are not interested in the profound power which will be moved from the Legislative Branch to the Executive Branch.

And the few “Constitutional Originalists” we have left in the Conservative Movement (read ‘non-leftist’) who are still acting that way, oppose it because it will amount to several anti-capitalist results.

First, there can be little doubt that our allies in Europe have prolonged the Doom of Greece, and the Drowning of the EU, in the hopes that something in the deal Bails out their Socialist Union Scheme which many of us said would fail. We knew this back in the Nineties because people and nations lie… and always will… nothing is new under the sun. (Note: Jeb Bush is meeting with European leaders who are looking for reassurance should he become president that he would not interfere with this new, expected to be shoved down the throats of the American People, EU Bail Out/Trade Act.)

We must begin asking ourselves why American Tax Dollars should continue to go to bailing out Failed Socialist Schemes and the long-dead Socialist ideology those schemes are built upon. Reinforcing Oppression, Death and Destruction should not be a committment made by The United States of America. The Western Socialist Democracies need to be allowed Fail on their own so they will modify their behavior. They have survived at the teat of American Free-Market Capitalism (in what feeble form it exists) for well over 100-years. The time is Now to Stop Enabling Elitist Control and Class Stasis of Fascist/Socialist A-Holes.  But it starts at home…

Second, there is little doubt that this ‘Trade’ bill will magically include Immigration Powers not before held by the Executive Branch. Just as the Commerce Clause has over time been perverted to mean just about anything, and everything, depending on what some person in power wanted it to mean…
Now it will be ‘Trade’. We have mechanisms in place to deal with immigration, but the survival of the Leftist Socialist-Fascist movement in this country depends on new government dependants. Whether these dependants are from other countries, or home-grown, doesn’t matter to the Socialists. As long as they get to vote… and vote for their redistributed ‘paycheck’, Liberalism survives.

Third, this Act will certainly create the very same type of Socialist Symbiosis represented by the European Union and carry with it the very same ‘certain to fail’ model. Just like Obamacare destroying the finest Medical system on the planet, why do we do this to ourselves? The answer is simple. The Socialists believe that it’s not the failure of their ideas. Rather, it’s that their ideas have never been allowed to catch up to the wild success of Self Determination and Free-Market Capitalism (in what feeble form it exists). They continue to fully subscribe to centralized control while anointing themselves Philosopher Kings. It truly is a Fatal Conceit.

Sure… if you’re Leftist Progressive you might think this is super cool. But once you think past the Trees and see the Forest (Something most Liberals are intentionally never taught to do) you clearly see that these powers are assigned to the Executive Branch, not just Liberal leftist Socialist progressives when they hold the Executive Branch.  Thus the push back from the Leftists… and frankly, a main reason the Leftist Light Republicans support it.

The United States is now run by those who seek to protect Government from us, not protect us from Government.

Are we going to allow Jonathan Gruber to be correct when he says “The American People are too Stupid to know what’s going on.”?

We proved him right not long ago with Obamacare…

The Truth Shall Get you Fired.

Today we learn Jonathan Gruber was Fired from his Health Care Advisory gig at Picwell, a Government Contractor tasked with studying Health Care Choices of those few folks who sign up through the Health Care Exchanges.

Let us remember that nothing Jonathan Gruber said was a Lie…  at least not the part about Every Democrat who voted to Force Obama Care upon the American Public believed You’re Stupid.  Such comments are to be confined to expensive dinner parties in private mansions of those who ‘understand’.

So in the fine Socialist Tradition practised by Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and the crew, Gruber must be punished for being Honest.  Luckily for him he’s not an advisor for any of the above or any number of the UN Bench Warming Progressive Dictators currently occupying positions of Third World Power.  If that were the case getting ‘Fired’ would have a very different and much more permanent meaning.

If one choses to graduate from Useful Idiot, every young Liberal is taught an extremely important lesson.  When you sign on to Represent an Ideology which seeks to Oppress those who disagree with you and Create as many Individuals devoid of Ambition who are Addicted to other people’s money as possible, all the while solidifying Class Stasis and Consolidating Power in an ever-growing Centralized Government, there is simply no place for public Honesty.  They often learn that even private Honesty is rarely promoted let alone tolerated.

Mr. Gruber certainly does not consider himself one of the Stupid People he derides…

He should know the first commandment of Socialism.  The Truth Shall Never be Spoken.  Truth must not be presented in any fashion if it impedes the Progress of the Comintern.  Never.

But Cheer up my friends, Mr. Gruber will not suffer too much or for too long.  He has already pocketed Millions of Your Dollars and will no doubt find his way back into the hearts and minds of those who know they are superior to you.  It may occur behind closed doors, or only in the musty basements of Old East Coast Money, but he will always find companionship, work and a crust of bread from his Fellow Travelers.

I predict the downfall of Jonathan Gruber will be briefly highlighted in certain circles as well as Democratic Socialist websites like HuffPo and Polltico.  The message must get out… the example must be made.

If you’re waiting for the mainstream media to care, they will not.  If they made the mistake of caring about Gruber’s comments regarding how Liberal Elites view you it would force them to address his Honesty.  And the good folks over at NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg, et al. are not interested in you being reminded they think you’re Stupid.

But specific Liberal outlets frequented by those with shared Elitist Communist beliefs will pick it up… as a warning.

An example is being made of an Honest Democrat.

But we won’t get it,

Don’t Forget Single Payer was always the Goal

It’s time to remind ourselves that Government Run, Single Payer Health Care was the true goal of Obama Care in the first place. We must remember that Obama Care was never designed to work. In fact, it was designed to fail from the outset.

But here’s the Rub for Democrats:

Obama Care was Supposed to position the Insurance Companies as Evil Bad Guys trying to make sure you’re sick and dying. (I know… that would seem to be self-defeating as the Insurance Companies would be the ones having to pony up for your care, but don;t let reason get between you and the Socialization of Medicine.) Needless to say, We are not blaming the Insurance Companies. We are Blaming the most destructive Law Forced upon all of us in our lifetimes. We are Blaming Obama Care, and by connection Obama and the Democrat party.

Whoops.

But… we’re Stupid. Right Jonathan?

I want to bring this back up because you will be hearing from many of those Community Organizer types suddenly conceding the argument that the Affordable Care Act is not Affordable and those who crafted it are Acting as if they don’t Care.

There is a reason for this.

These Diehard Democrats are the same people who were ready, when the time was right, to scream about Obama Care from the very beginning. They have been waiting for You.  They have been waiting for you to Blame the Insurance Companies.  They have been briefed by the Elitists, such as Gruber et al, on the plan and were told to wait to create a disturbance until You were the angriest.  And while they flamed the fire of your discontent, they would be carrying the Banner of Government Run, Single Payer, “Universal” Healthcare as the ONLY solution.

Well, they are seeing the writing on the wall, And instead of waiting for Godot, they are coming out in opposition to Obama Care now, because the threat to the Crown Jewel of Socialism is very real after the latest mid-term elections and Republican takeover of the Senate.

These sudden ‘revelations’ are last ditch efforts to achieve the Dream.

This amounts to running out of ammunition and loading up the silverware into the cannon.

So pay attention…

The problem is you will be offered up these Democrat voices as turn-coats to the cause of permanently nationalizing our Health Care System.

They are not.

In reality they are true believers in the Social Utopia dreamt of by all Democrats.

Be wary of those who at first blush seem to be on the same side of this issue.  The comments associated with this article serve to illustrate the trap we face if these people are embraced as allies.

But Wouldn’t They be afraid We would figure it out?

So Who are these People?

They are composed of Socialists and Fascists (a subgroup of Socialism).  They reside in the Totality of the Democrat Party, but there exist many Republicans and Independents who subscribe to the same Ideology.  There are even some very confused Libertarians out there as well.  Almost always they can be spotted by how they espouse a belief that they are superior to others… who are not around to hear them.  So listen carefully.

And, Why are they Lying exactly?

The Elitists will Lie to you because They believe there should be no debate about Their ideas. They also believe You must be saved from yourself… by Them. Neither of which seems to be warmly received by those They label Stupid (You).

When did this Start!?

It’s a behavior as old as time itself. The idea of Slavery under a ruling Class of Elites has been the basis for every Government on the Planet from Monarchy to Dictatorship.  It is alive and well in China, Russia, Mexico, Canada, Europe and the rest of the World.  It just so happens that the last couple of hundred years it’s found a home in the ideology of Socialism, and it’s variants, here in the U.S.  They arrived at this power by telling you, your parents, and your parent’s parents, that they will ‘fight for you’ and ‘champion equal rights for everyone’.  When in truth, the only thing they give you is that which doesn’t directly effect Them negatively and/or threaten Their Power.

A single Glaring Example; They have taken over the Public Education system in order to keep all of us as ‘Stupid’ as possible.  Without much energy you can see Their Elitist condescension through the fact that They refuse to send Their kids to the schools They run.  I have stated many times, if we want to clean up our public school system Force EVERYONE to use it… or restore the right for EVERYONE not to use it.

How do We Stop Them?

Very Good Question.

First, Make an Effort to really understand what’s going on around you.

Second, Stop listening to the Old Media which was taken over by Liberal Leftists 70 years ago.

Third, take the time to understand the ‘Why’ behind the U.S. Constitution.  This alone will lead you to an understanding of Individual Freedom, Liberty, Right to Property and Limited Government… all four of which are anathema to Elitists.  (Warning: While Socialists may say they are for these things, it is only for Them… not for You.  Why?  Because You’re Stupid, remember?  Of course they will never champion Limited Government as They need Government Force to make you do what They expect you to.)

Such a course of action will also lead you to understand Free Market Capitalism and the Invisible Hand… both of which the Elites despise as neither requires Their supposed brilliance.  And, both leave you in charge of making decisions for yourself… which cannot be tolerated, because… wait for it…  You’re Stupid.

In the End, Stupid is as Stupid does.

So Stop listening to, and worse, electing, those who Believe you are Stupid.

Because that’s Stupid.

IRS Commissioner Koskinen tried to channel Colonel Jessup but failed to generate any of the character’s sympathetic aspects and focused only on the Smugness:

“You have already said, multiple times today, that there was no evidence that you found of any criminal wrongdoing,” Gowdy said. “I want you to tell me: What criminal statutes you have evaluated?”

“I have not looked at any,” the IRS commissioner admitted.

“Well then how can you possibly tell our fellow citizens that there is no criminal wrongdoing if you don’t even know what statutes to look at?” Gowdy followed-up.

“Because I’ve seen no evidence that anyone consciously –“

“Well how would you know what elements of the crime existed? You don’t even know what statutes are in play,” Gowdy said, visibly annoyed. “I’m going to ask you again: What statutes have you evaluated?”

“Uh,” the IRS commissioner stumbled, “I think you can rely on common sense–“

“Common sense? Instead of the criminal code, you want to rely on common sense? No, Mr. Koskinen, you can shake your head all you want to, commissioner. You have said today that there’s no evidence of criminal wrongdoing and I’m asking you what criminal statutes you have reviewed to reach that conclusion.”

“I reviewed no criminal statutes,” said the IRS commissioner.

You want to know what is wrong with our Government?

Commissioner Koskinen is what’s wrong with our Government.  All of the Bureaucrats that see the world as he does are what’s wrong with our Government.  An institution that is so accustomed to ‘being the law’ and see no reason to know the law is what’s wrong with our Government.

Elitist, Smug Liberal Progressives have taken over the Government from the top down.  It happened over time.  It is complete.

Now that there has been an unabridged War declared on the only opposing Ideology it is presenting itself for all to see.

The Koskinen’s, Lerner’s, et al. are coming out of the shadows into the sun.

Let’s get something Clear.  The Statements made by Jonathan Gruber, a Primary Architect of Obama Care and a M.I.T. Professor, were far from Stupid.

And that is the point.

Gruber’s comments were not Stupid… they were Honest.

While it’s not news to me, it might be to you…

Socialists and their Ilk see you as Stupid.

You are to be fooled, lied to and manipulated.  The only thing Socialists believe you can be counted on to do is the Wrong Thing.

Gruber, et al*, know what’s right for you… always… in every situation.  Just ask them.  (You’ll have to pretend to be one of them and do it where they think they’re safe.) They’ll tell you.

What’s an important lesson to take away from Gruber’s comments, regarding your Stupidity, is the Leftist media circling the wagons to reposition his speaking as “Stupid”.  But listen carefully… no one on the Left is saying his comments are Not True.  What is being said is it was “Stupid” for him to say them.  And what they mean is it was ‘Stupid’ for him to SAY THEM OUT LOUD WHERE YOU CAN HEAR THEM.

The Democrats are angry because you heard one of their own speak freely.

You heard a Highly Regarded Progressive Liberal being Honest about how they ALL feel about You.

Nothing is surprising by these comments.

Many of us have personally heard such statements throughout our lives.  But the Democrats, and some Republicans, have been very careful not to say such things where they can be heard by those they speak of.  Kind of like spelling out words in front of your Children…

Personally I like having Socialists be honest and open.  Just like I prefer my Racists to be honest and open.

They are Poisonous, Ugly and deeply Evil people.  And I want to know exactly who they are.

So now you know about Obama Care and how it has been based on Lies throughout it’s being Forced upon the American People.

But it’s not just about Obama Care.

It’s about how Socialists see the World… and most importantly, You.

When you subscribe to the idea that the ‘Ends justify the Means’ as Socialists do… lying to the ‘unwashed masses’, the ‘idiots’, the ‘little people’,  is just part of the Job.

They are even beginning to look for moral relativity by saying “Everybody does it.”

But hearing it for yourself… puts some things into context, like an Elected Representative publically stating “You have to pass the Law to Find Out What’s in It” as Nancy Pelosi condescendingly did.  She knew what was in it, she knew it was the Crown Jewel of the Socialists Transformation of the United States… it’s just You are too stupid to understand it.  And, on the outside chance you did understand it, you wouldn’t like it.  So Stop asking Questions, Shut Up and Pass It!

Well, they might ‘all lie’… but that doesn’t mean We should tolerate it.  Ever.  From any of them… ‘our side’ or not.

This goes especially for you ‘Liberals’ out there.  Don’t think for one moment that associating yourself with Democrats get’s you a pass…  it’s a Fatal Conceit.

They think you’re Stupid too.

Only worse…  they think you’re Useful.

California Politicians

…Need to have a warning label placed on their Foreheads.

California Politicians have been on the Cutting Edge (Warning: Sharp instruments can be Hazardous to your Health.) of Protecting us from Ourselves by the Liberal Application of Warning Labels.  The Elitists recognize that if it wasn’t for them all the rest of us would have inadvertently killed ourselves long ago.

Their latest proposal is that all beverages containing levels of Sugar they don’t like have a Warning Label placed on the front of the drink declaring that Sugar is harmful and can lead to various maladies. The verbiage is as follows…  “STATE OF CALIFORNIA SAFETY WARNING:  Drinking Beverages with added sugar(s) contributes to obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay.”  (Bold and italics are mine.)

Okay, let’s take it at face value that the Politicians involved are genuinely concerned about the health of their constituency and not looking for larger donations from companies that produce beverages with “added sugar(s)” or own interest in a Warning Label company.

This deep feeling of responsibility for others being exhibited by California Politicians should then, logically, extend to a well-known and widely recognized Health Hazard.  California Politicians.

I, personally, am Deeply concerned.  Very deeply.  Something must be done.  We can’t just stand by and do nothing… There needs to be a Law.

I propose California Politicians, at every level, be required by Law to wear a plainly visible Unisex Headband, 24-hours a day, with the following warning…

“STATE OF CALIFORNIA SAFETY WARNING:  Interacting or Close Proximity to California Politicians contributes to bankruptcy, groping, and tooth decay.  If you can read this, you are too close.”

Problem solved.

And, That would be a Warning Label Law I could support spreading to every State in the Nation.

I’m Already Smarter than You…

…so I don’t need to spend any time thinking about stuff. And, I certainly don’t need to consider the possibility that I might be wrong because that would be stupid… and I’m not stupid… you are.

This is the mentality of much of America. You have seen this for yourself.

It hit me when I was looking at a map of the states divided into red and blue representing Republican and Democrat votes for the last election. The very clever caption labeled the Blue states as “America” and the Red states as “Dumbf*ckistan”. I admit, I laughed. But it is a fantastic example of how important it is to Democrats/Liberals/Progressives to tell themselves that they are smarter than you. This delusion is truly the cornerstone of their belief system. It allows them to spend no time thinking while claiming to be the most intelligent person in the room and therefore possessing the moral high-ground in all things.

For those of us who have experienced it we will recognize the following;

I’m smarter than you because I live in… New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Austin, Boston, Maine or any place that has a high density of like-minded Leftists. (In fact, there is a hierarchy of geographic locations which make you instantly brilliant.  It Starts with anywhere OUTSIDE of the United States… Moscow, Paris, London, Rome, Beijing…  Overseas, even for a very brief period, seems to elevate your intelligence above others.  Just a visit appears to count.)

I’m smarter than you because I care more about the environment as demonstrated by… my recycling habit, my hybrid, my bumper stickers, my dreadlocks, my compost pile, my hemp shirt and eating only “organic”.

I’m smarter than you because of my love for animals, except those I don’t like.  You know, the not cute and furry ones.

I’m smarter than you because I believe the existence of humanity, within the United States,  is killing the planet by creating Global Warming… it feels true.

I’m smarter than you because I refuse to debate using reason, and by doing so I “win” every argument.

I’m smarter than you because I listen to my heart… not my brain, which in my case is historically unreliable.

I’m smarter than you because I expect people to cheat on their spouses… and it’s okay.

I’m smarter than you because I went to… Yale, Harvard, Rutgers, Community College etc.  Don’t ask me about my grades though, or try to engage me in your “poorly educated” debate over anything important.

I’m smarter than you because I don’t smoke cigarettes, only marijuana… which is completely different.

I’m smarter than you because I read a lot… kind of… okay, not really but I’ll tell you I do.

I’m smarter than you because I will never verify my “facts”.  And, as long as I don’t check them out they remain “true”.  In the rare instance where I might be wrong… you’re still stupid.  Both have to do with a combination of the uncertainty principle and quantum theory, but you didn’t go to the right school to understand, so never mind.

I’m smarter than you because I’m a “Progressive” which I think means superior, and calling myself that makes me so.

And finally, because I’m smarter than you, I’m better than you.  End of discussion… I win.

So you might as well give up trying to talk to these people… there is no hope, nor should there be an expectation of change. When you base your self-esteem on irrational and irrelevant variables you enjoy an exceptional imperviousness to logic… very Progressive indeed.  It must feel good.

Take a single day and see how many of these folks you can count.  You might be surprised.

(If we could carry around bottles of bourbon this could be a terrific drinking game.  Even better if you didn’t explain to these folks what the game was.  Might be a short day, but I don’t think you’d have to stray too far from home.)

I know this is a repost from 013113… but I just finished watching White House Spokesman Jay Carney and couldn’t help thinking about how stupid I am… and how drunk I should be.
