Uh-Oh…

Could it be that the CIA was involved in investigating journalists who said mean things about the current Administration?

The official response of “outrageous and baseless” leads me to believe… yes.

But why would I believe such a thing?

On what would I Base my assertion on?

Because we know it would be Outrageous if:

The IRS used its authority to intimidate groups the Administration disagrees with.

The DEA was using information gleaned from Domestic Spying on Innocent American’s.

The NSA was conducting the Domestic Spying program collecting information on Innocent Americans to be kept forever.

The CIA was selling Missiles to the Syrians and running them through Benghazi only to lose track of them.

The DOJ investigated Journalists.

The BATFE was up-arming Mexican Drug Cartels who then killed hundreds of innocent Mexican’s and American Law Enforcement Officers.

The Executive Branch was illegally writing Law and then furthering the illegality by providing immunity from those Laws to Unions and Government Employees.

The Federal Reserve was printing money faster than history has ever witnessed and then using it to buy Bonds.

The Very Senator and Congressman who caused the Real Estate Collapse escaped Imprisonment and, astonishingly, wrote legislation to “solve” the problem they created.

The Defense Department was being run by a Civilian Presidential Advisor whose decisions have thus far lead to the death of an Ambassador.

The TSA started showing up at Sporting Events to grope spectators when taking a break from Stealing Stuff out of your suitcase.

The DHS was advertising how to gain access to the United States without being a Citizen then allowing those who came to roam freely.

The Local Police were being Militarized with Federal Assistance.

The Democrat Party suddenly found Sexual Harassment to be offensive.

The list goes on, but my fingers are tired…

I Agree, it would be Outrageous.

However, Baseless?

We’ll see.

There’s guaranteed to be more yet to come, all brought to you by a group of people who find a 5% reduction in the Growth of Spending “Draconian”, Socialized Medicine “A Right”, the Constitution “Limiting” and the Second Amendment “Outdated”.

It’s becoming difficult to find anything NOT to believe anymore.

It’s time for bourbon surrounded by glass.

The Inexplicably Absent…

Tonight President Obama will hold his optional State of the Union Address to the Country.

He’s holding it on Lincoln’s Birthday in the hopes that President Lincoln’s greatness will be associated with him.

He will undoubtedly mention President Lincoln in a heavy-handed attempt at moral relativism.

In a way it’s sad that he must resort to such efforts.  But it is indicative of where we are as a Nation under his leadership.

While many of my fellow Anti-Socialists will be focused on what the President offers up for solutions to our continued high unemployment (even after playing with the numbers) and economic malaise, I will be thinking about those who are conspicuously absent with no explanation.

I will be wondering why Ambassador Stevens is not sitting in Michelle Obama’s box.

I will be curious where Tyrone Woods, Glen Doherty, Sean Smith are and exactly why.

I will be interested to see if the President calls out into the audience and thanks any of the other 10 Americans Injured in the Benghazi attack.  Will he ask to the public to forgive him for not having any apparent interest in the Benghazi Assassinations when they were happening… or shortly there after… or now?

I will look for Jaime Zapata and Brian Terry.  Will they be there?  Clearly they will not be.  So will the President take this opportunity to apologize, personally, to the families?  And… will he publicly apologize to the Citizens of Mexico for arming the very Cartels that terrorize their country and have kill thousands of their loved ones?  Is he man enough to admit that up-arming Mexican Drug Lords through his Operation Fast and Furious was a mistake?

I’ll listen carefully for assurances that the President will not continue to kill U.S. Citizens with Drones, combined with a firm statement that such power cannot be possessed by nameless, faceless individuals within our clandestine services let alone the Executive.  I look forward to hearing that oversight by a specific bi-partisan committee of our elected representatives will be immediately implemented.  (If you are one of these Republicans who don’t see this as dangerous… you don’t get it.  It’s not the Drone, it the immense power to unilaterally decide which Citizen lives and dies.)

And, as demonstrated during Fast and Furious as well as Benghazi… the President doesn’t seem to care.

I suppose caring might imply responsibility, and President Obama will certainly not accept any of that.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

I’ll have a bottle on Glenfiddich handy.

A Kick in the Cojones.

In an attempt to capitalise on the U.S. public’s short attention span, a further delay has been delivered in the Fast and Furious investigation.

DOJ’s Michael Horowitz is claiming that his department has not had time to fully review all of the 140,000 documents (he’s had 2-years, or 730 days, or 520 working days, or 4160 work hours, or 249,600 minutes assuming only 1 person was assigned to read each and every page by himself…. and it was their own program.  They WROTE/CREATED those documents.) and additional time is required.  The DOJ acts as if this circus act is still a viable, ongoing, endeavor.  (May the Great Architect help us all if it is.)

Certainly one could be cynical and look at the impending election with the idea that the current administration needs to do one of two things, either convince the public that the Bush administration did the same thing (which they did not.) or delay long enough for the public to forget about the Obama administrations intentionally up-arming Mexican Drug cartels with taxpayer dollars and assistance from government personnel.  But that would be a rational, reasoned possibility to be considered.  So… ridiculous.

Untimely good news;

With the arrest of Jesus Meza and the names of five other persons of interest, the DOJ is back on the front page.  Well, never the front page but more like section C below the fold in the Tuesday addition.  Even so, this news is untimely at best.  Making progress in the investigation is exactly not what the DOJ wants as it opens the floor to more questions and brings a modicum of attention back to this fiasco.

It also pours salt on the wounded families of Brian Terry and (strangely ignored… could it be the Hispanic sounding name?) Jaime Zapata.  Let alone the hundreds of (completely, utterly, totally ignored) Mexican citizen’s families.

Fast and Furious is a scandal of the highest degree.  Anything short of complete transparency is a shot to our collective privates.

It should be on page one.

When an enthusiastic supporter shows a very high degree of man-love with the President it makes the National News Cycle.  What if he had given him a shot to the huevos?

Heads would have rolled… but kill a few hundred people with an attempt to create a gun problem on the border, nada.

Have no idea what I’m pounding the keys about?  You’re probably not alone…
