IRS Commissioner Koskinen tried to channel Colonel Jessup but failed to generate any of the character’s sympathetic aspects and focused only on the Smugness:

“You have already said, multiple times today, that there was no evidence that you found of any criminal wrongdoing,” Gowdy said. “I want you to tell me: What criminal statutes you have evaluated?”

“I have not looked at any,” the IRS commissioner admitted.

“Well then how can you possibly tell our fellow citizens that there is no criminal wrongdoing if you don’t even know what statutes to look at?” Gowdy followed-up.

“Because I’ve seen no evidence that anyone consciously –“

“Well how would you know what elements of the crime existed? You don’t even know what statutes are in play,” Gowdy said, visibly annoyed. “I’m going to ask you again: What statutes have you evaluated?”

“Uh,” the IRS commissioner stumbled, “I think you can rely on common sense–“

“Common sense? Instead of the criminal code, you want to rely on common sense? No, Mr. Koskinen, you can shake your head all you want to, commissioner. You have said today that there’s no evidence of criminal wrongdoing and I’m asking you what criminal statutes you have reviewed to reach that conclusion.”

“I reviewed no criminal statutes,” said the IRS commissioner.

You want to know what is wrong with our Government?

Commissioner Koskinen is what’s wrong with our Government.  All of the Bureaucrats that see the world as he does are what’s wrong with our Government.  An institution that is so accustomed to ‘being the law’ and see no reason to know the law is what’s wrong with our Government.

Elitist, Smug Liberal Progressives have taken over the Government from the top down.  It happened over time.  It is complete.

Now that there has been an unabridged War declared on the only opposing Ideology it is presenting itself for all to see.

The Koskinen’s, Lerner’s, et al. are coming out of the shadows into the sun.

I predict Mainstream Media will give this little if any attention because it’s ‘Their Guys’ doing it.  Could you imagine what the response would be if the Bush, or any supposedly non-Leftist, Administration did such a thing?  I can.

What does Smidgen taste like?

I ask because it looks like we’re all going to get to experience a lot of it…  ton’s of it in fact.

When President Obama said there “is not even a Smidgen” of corruption in the IRS I think he was regurgitating a line Bill Clinton fed him before he went into the interview.

What he was really saying was there is A Ton of Smidgen. Lot’s and Lot’s of Smidgen.

So get your forks out because there will be a bunch of Smidgen to be eaten.

There is currently an US Congressman and now an US Senator covered in Smidgen. Mr. Cummings and Mr. Levin…

I suggest Elijah and Carl find Aprons and a bottle of Tabasco.  They might ask President Obama, he seems to be most familiar with Smidgen.

(Update: Offline I was informed Smidgen is best Grilled.  Mr. Issa should be enlightened to this suggestion.  It was also suggested serving Smidgen Sandwiches, but I commented that no one likes being forced to eat a Smidgen Sandwich… especially after a being Grilled.)

 

 

What if All the Criminals are Women?

Let’s say there is a specific Crime that was committed and all of the Criminals, save a select few, were Women.

Now let’s say that you put these Women in Jail for their Crimes.

Are You Committing a War on Women?

Well, that’s what we are all being set up for.

Lois Lerner, of IRS Targeting political Enemies of the President Fame, is about to be prosecuted for her Role in that Targeting.

Lois Lerner Could go to Jail.  First for Contempt… then for Committing Crimes only dreamt of by people like Nixon.

But here’s where it starts to look predictable:  Lois Lerner’s Deputy is involved as well and her name is Holly Paz… and She is, wait for it… a Woman!

And!  Another IRS Staffer involved in the dissemination of Private Taxpayer information, one Catherine M. Barre, is also… a Woman!

Then there’s the Criminal Communication of Taxpayer information with Elijah Cummins office (His being a woman has not been confirmed, but his is Black… so you’re at least a Racist.).

All of this would probably be considered crazy conspiracy theory material save,

Hillary’s involvement in Benghazi.  Combined with Her desire to be President.

And the out of nowhere Narrative being pushed by the Democrat Party regarding a War on Women.

A Narrative designed to get you to Ignore actual Crime such as Domestic Spying, Arming Drug Cartels, Leaving our Intelligence Service out in the Field to Die, Allowing North Korea to go Nuclear, Enabling Voter Fraud and ensuring Illegal Immigration continues unopposed… all while the Dollar is intentionally devalued and the Debt Sky Rockets to levels never dreamt of by all the Previous Administrations Combined.

So if all the Criminals are Women, Enforcing the Law is discrimination.

(Background:  At issue was a request for documents in the DOJ’s case against the Holy Land Foundation, a designated terrorist group based in Texas, whose founders were convicted and sentenced for funneling money to Hamas. The men are now asking for a new trial, blaming their lawyers for their convictions. In February, the DOJ disputed their attorney’s claim, saying there was a “mountain of evidence” that proves the Islamic charity was controlled by Hamas.)

“I was fairly specific to make sure that I got the documents that the Department of Justice handed over to people convicted of supporting terrorism. They’re terrorists. We’ve given them the documents,” Gohmert said. Gohmert said the committee sent the Justice Department repeated requests for the documents that had been used to prosecute them but were only provided a link to “nearly 500 publicly available exhibits that were admitted into evidence” and instructed “to check the public access to court electronic records.” Meanwhile, the requested documents were “put on discs and sent to Illinois,” so they are easily available – “just not to members of Congress,” Gohmert said.

“Attorney General, I’ve read in the 5th Circuit opinion, about 9600 summaries of transcripts of conversations that the Justice Department had that were made available to attorneys for the terrorists,” Gohmert said. “I still do not understand why your department can provide documents to terrorists’ lawyers, and many of them to four out of eight of the terrorists, and not provide them to members of Congress.” “Sir, I’ve read you what your department promised, and it is inadequate, and I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight,” Gohmert said.

Holder: “You don’t want to go there, buddy. You don’t want to go there, okay?”

Gohmert: “I don’t want to go there?”

Holder: “No.” Gohmert: “About the contempt?”

Holder: “You should not assume that that is not a big deal to me. I think that it was inappropriate. I think it was unjust, but never think that that was not a big deal to me. Don’t ever think that.”

Gohmert: “Well I’m just looking for evidence, and normally we’re known by our fruits, and there have been no indications that it was a big deal, because your department has still not been forthcoming in producing the documents that were the subject of the contempt.”

Holder: “The documents that we were prepared to make available then, we’re prepared to make available now that would have obviated the whole need. This was all about the gun lobby and a desire to have a—

Gohmert: “Sir, we’ve been trying to get to the bottom of Fast and Furious where people died, where at least a couple hundred Mexicans died, and we can’t get the information to get to the bottom of that, so I don’t need lectures from you about contempt, because it is very difficult to deal with asking questions.”

Holder: “And I don’t need lectures from you either.”

Gohmert: “As a former judge, I’d never have asked questions of someone who’s been held in contempt. We waited ‘til the contempt was purged, and then we asked questions.”

Considering We the People wish to see Lois Lerner of IRS Targeting Political Enemies Fame placed in Contempt… it’s worth wondering what power that charge actually has?

If you’re found guilty of Contempt of Congress such as Eric Holder has been, So What?

I’m pretty sure I would be put in Jail.

I guess if you’re associated with Government, you become Buddies.  You also Demonstrate for all of us out here Who still Give a Crap that you’re Above the Law.

And when You’re the one in charge of Enforcing the Law where does that leave us?

Have Republicans Lost Interest?

…In IRS Political Targeting and the subsequent financial destruction of Citizens?

Could it be The Republicans look forward to Using the IRS as a Weapon against Liberal Groups once they get Ahold of Power?

It’s worth asking.

It’s particularly fascinating after Issa refused to Allow Elijah Cummings to turn the Lois Lerner Hearing into the Elijah Cummings makes Political Statement Hearing.

It seems the only mistake was Cummings creating a fuss.  And I’m sure he is Hearing about it right now.

Let’s be Clear…

The Gravity of the IRS Targeting Groups and Citizens who are identified by their Political Leaning is difficult to describe due only to it’s Immensity.

This is Government Abuse of Power in its Largest, Brightest and Easiest to Understand Form.

It is Clear… It is Definable… it is Undeniable.

You have Faces to associate with It who are actively using the Mobster Clause.

You have Victims of it who have kept Documentation.

You have internal Communications relating to it’s Perpetuation.

And…

Now you have Democrats who are doing Everything they can to make it go away.

I realize the Rep. Cummings is currently ginning up the Liberal Base by playing the Victim Card, he can’t help himself, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see that behavior on this issue stop immediately.  The Democrats want to be able to say “That’s old news”… They Certainly do not want all of you suddenly paying attention to it again.

They want it to go away.

Move On… Nothing to See Here.

So the only Party who would be invested in getting to the bottom of this and putting people behind bars would be… The Republicans.  And, Once again, where are they on this?  Why is that Congressional Hearing Room not FULL of interested Representatives every time this committee schedules time in it?

I’m beginning to think the Republicans want the issue to go away as well.

I’m beginning to think they have plans for this power once they wrest control of the Senate.

I’m beginning to think that once again they are all demonstrating the same sordid behavior.

Darrell Issa should not be alone on investigating this Profound Abuse of Power by the IRS.  If there was ever an issue worth getting your face next to when you’re running in a current election cycle, this would be it… IRS Destroying people’s lives crosses party lines… it’s a no brainer… you would think.

For me… there is a link, I think, to drink.
