Who Owns You?

You?

Apparently not.  If you have been watching any part of the hysterics associated with the Fiscal Cliff and the subsequent “deal” struck, everyone owns you…  particularly those in government.  If you’ve been able to remain sober, read on… pardon me if I slur my typing.

Let’s begin with the basics.

There has been much confusion as of late in regard to what a “principle” is.

We supposedly seek “principled men” to occupy political offices, but then we chastise those who demonstrate those qualities.

We demonize those few who stand up for the principles we think we subscribe to… so let’s figure this out.

Let’s start with the definition of the word:

prin·ci·ple
 [ prínssəp’l ]
  1. basic assumption: an important underlying law or assumption required in a system of thought
  2. ethical standard: a standard of moral or ethical decision-making

OK… so you should ask yourself why is it so important for President Obama to get the Republicans in Congress to concede on raising taxes even if it’s only for certain “other” people… (for the moment.)

The Principle in question; Do you own your money and by extension yourself?

Capitalism says; “Yes, you own your money and because of that you own yourself.”

Socialism says; “No, you do not own your money… and because of that everyone other than you owns you, if they believe it benefits them.”  And who ever they are always think it benefits them.

Once you concede the principle that the Government owns the money, and you don’t, then everything is good for the continued march to Socialism.  This is why tax increases are so important to the Left even though they are effectively meaningless in regard to reducing the deficit, let alone the debt.  It reinforces the Primary Socialist Principle that Government owns the money and thus by extension owns you.  When they say “Is it unreasonable to ask the rich to pay a little more?” what they are actually saying is “Is it unreasonable to force someone to pay more?”  They are hoping you keep saying “No, not at all… seems fair.”

In other words, the Democrat/Socialists (and a number of Soft Socialist Republicans) need you to think it is OK to take more money from “other” people.  They need you to believe that we should take more money from whomever they choose, right now “the wealthy”, in order to reduce the deficit… or whatever cause du jour.  (Note… they will not mention “The Debt” which is truly what will destroy the U.S. soon and suddenly.)  They need you to concede that they have the power not to cut out-of-control spending but rather to take your, their, somebody’s money… and then give it to whomever they see fit, because it “belongs to all of us”.  (It’s worth noting they often see fit to give your money to donors running unmarketable products produced by solar energy companies which quickly go out business.)

This is a very simple Principle to understand.

Either the money you possess is yours or it is not.  Either you allow government to use some of it, or they allow you to use some of it.

So which is it?

There has been some discussion regarding certain Republicans who voted for this “deal” avoiding the Fiscal Cliff.  (I will remind everyone, since language seems to be so important, that this deal does nothing to avoid any fiscal cliff.  The United States is still speeding unencumbered towards its fiscal demise.)  I would offer that holding Republicans accountable during this charade is exactly what needs to be done.  It’s time we start talking about our representatives by NAME.  Far too many of us assume it’s someone else’s elected official who voted for this or that and never their own… it’s time to change that.  It is also assumed that certain politicians who possess a brand image that suggests “Fiscal Conservancy” that they could not/or would not approve of such a ridiculous deal.  These are particularly the representatives that need to be challenged as to what Principled Position they operate under.  (Like the Hurricane Sandy bill offered 1/2/13 which was full of crappy earmarks and pet projects… we should be outing the authors of this wanton spending for some good old-fashioned hazing if not outright public condemnation.)

What happens to most of our politicians once they reach DC is they abandon all of their principled rhetoric in favor of pragmatism.

This is another reason the Democrat/Leftists in our government see it as crucial to get the Republicans to concede that government owns the money… not you.  The Socialists that occupy our government are terrified of those certain individuals that will not opt to be “pragmatic” but instead stand on principle.  The Leftists cannot allow anyone to fill a seat in the house, senate and certainly not the presidency who cannot be bought under the paradigm of pragmatism.

Those genuinely standing for the first, simplest and most fundamental principle of Individual Liberty and Freedom must be destroyed…  not just destroyed politically but also in the minds of the common American voter… lest the Socialists lose their power.

Those who will fight to possible electoral defeat must be criticized, ridiculed and ostracized by not just the Leftists in the Democrat Party but also those Leftists in the Republican Party.  The Media is always ready and willing to help in this effort… lest they lose their power.

You must understand this.  If you are Free then you must constantly remind those occupying government that you are allowing them to use some of your money, not the other way around.  Otherwise, they will be coming for your money… or in their mind… their money that they have lent you.  And they will use Force to get it… that’s what taxation is.  Which is why you go to jail if you don’t pay up.

You must also understand that we should never be excited for politicians to “get along” and “get something done”… There is a reason they call each other the “opposition” and it’s a GOOD reason.  You should always be very afraid when they “come together” for your supposed benefit.  Because it never is.

So don’t be afraid to put Boehner, Ryan and the rest of them on notice.  And if they don’t listen start sending your campaign donations directly to primary candidates opposing them.  The future of our country depends on it.

Cheers…

I’ve had this all wrong…

I had convinced myself that the Leftist Media launched against Christie because he’s mean to them and they’d only been waiting for the opportunity to present itself. I also thought the Leftist Political Klass has been quietly disappointed that Christie is being roasted too early as he has yet to be made the Republican Nominee by Liberals crossing over in East Coast Open Primaries and voting for him the same way McCain was foisted upon us.

Whoops.

I have changed my mind.

It is clear to me that the fear of Christie is real and shared by a majority on the Left. I believe the Socialists really think Christie could beat Hillary. And the Left is worried.

Let me put it this way, in case any of you missed it, Hillary is a girl.  And that fact, although she has yet to produce a birth certificate, is going to be unspoken Issue #1 on her Campaign Platform.

Along the same lines, Chris Christie is Fat.  I know… it’s hard to tell, but he is.  And that fact will be unspoken issue #1 on his Campaign Barge.

Now, when your playing a game of victim cards whose do you think is higher?

The Girl Card?

Or,

The Fat Card?

In other words,  Do you think more people will identify with the victim status of being a Girl?  Or, do you think more people, wait… American’s, will identify with the Fat Guy?  Look at it this way, Girls make up 52% of the global population (a number of whom currently do not vote in U.S. Elections) and only a very small percentage of those feel like being a Girl makes them a victim of society.  While Fat American’s make up 88% of the population and every single one of them believe they are victimized on a daily basis by the other 12%.

Ask yourself this… if your greatest achievement is to have been born female, would you want to run against the Fat Guy?

Yeah, me neither.

I only wish being a Drunk made me a Victim.  I could be El Rey del Mundo!

Socialists Admitting Socialism Doesn’t Work?

Waiving the Jones Act.

On the heels of Hurricane Sandy, the Administration wants to lift rules that restrict fuel delivery to the storm stricken areas.

Why is the idea of getting government interference out of the way only a good idea during times of disaster?

The Obama Administration is admitting that Socialism, as codified in The Jones Act, is a hinderance to the recovery process following Hurricane Sandy.

The Jones Act forbids non-union tankers to make deliveries into certain ports.

Why isn’t this a “hinderance” all the time?  The dirty little secret the Leftists are hoping you skip over in your thinking is… IT IS.

What the Obama Administration is saying is “Socialism does not work”.

When the chips are down Socialist policies must be removed because they are so bad…  in fact, they’re bad ALL THE TIME, but our tolerance of them is slightly higher when times are “good’.  But think about the progress we could be making in this country if we removed all artificial barriers such as this one.  There are THOUSANDS of them out there…

Right after we permanently get rid of this crap we should be asking ourselves why we ever let it happen in the first place!

Somehow these Charlatans convinced us that ideas like this were “good”.  Somehow they got us to fall for it.  The responsiblity is ours that it happened.  Take responsibility, get rid of these people, and don’t let it happen again.

In the face of true need and despair our Liberal Politicians are forced to admit for all to see that not only do their ideas not work… they have never worked.  (History is replete with examples of such failed thought.  The consequences vary from bad, to abhorrent.)

It has always been about favors… and money… and power.  Never has it been about you.

If you’re not amazed, you’re not paying attention.

Stunning…

Why are the Markets Closed?

Anyone?

I was under the impression that September 11, 2001 taught us a number of lessons. One of them was the dangers associated with centralization.
The Terrorists hit the World Trade center exactly because of what it represented and the damage it would cause the Domestic and World Financial markets. I don’t think I need to rehash this…

So now we get a storm. Yes… a Big Storm.  But, a storm similar to many across the U.S. over the recent years. In other words, as much as many in the press would like you to believe this is not “unprecedented” nor was it “impossible to predict”. Katrina was not impossible to predict.  Charlotte, Andrew, Charlie, Jeanne, Opal, Camille, etc. were not impossible to predict.  Tornado’s in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri are not impossible to predict.  Forest Fires in New Mexico, California, Colorado are not impossible to predict.  Earthquakes in California are not impossible to predict.  Clearly the specifics are uncertain… but the events are inevitable.

Just because it is hitting the “Hub of Journalism” does not mean it has never happened before.  (Well… it does to Journalists.)

And, while the damage is heavy, it is not on the level of 9/11.  Yes, we have flooding… but what most “journalists” are omitting is that the tunnels in and out of New york were designed to flood.  Yes we have fires, but most of the time fires associated with flooding is due to community gas lines not being shut down in time combined with electrical service also not being shut down in time.  Do I need to explain what you get with natural gas and sparks?  None of this is unpredictable.  We, in this country, have a vast amount of knowledge and practise when it comes to recovering from natural disasters.  You wouldn’t know this as of this typing.

So this brings me back to my original question…

Why are the Markets closed?

We were told that redundancy was built into the system so an event like 9/11 could never happen again.

What happened?  Nothing?  It is plain that there is no redundancy built into the system.  Do you think the same Terrorist A-holes might be paying attention?

If the answer is that certain Brokerages could not get employees to work… then why are the rest of us paying for their failure to learn the lesson of 9/11?  Should they consider relocation?  Multiple trading desks in various cities?

Did the World Markets shut down?  No… they did not.  The “Best and the Brightest” were supposed to be on this…

I simply don’t understand.

Either certain banks still have far too much influence, or we have failed to learn our lesson in earnest and will be doomed to experiencing the opportunity to learn it again.  Could be both.

6-Points Plus?

Obama’s 2008 win was labeled a Landslide, by many in the press.

It was also called “A Mandate for Change“.  (Well… we definitely got that.)

Keep in Mind, He won by a 6% point margin…

Anyway,  Media Bias is typically addressed only after the fact.  The screams come once the insult is suffered and then lives only briefly in the minds of those with other things to do.  This is a fact… and a complaint.

I have a suspicion however.  I think we are in for it this time around, or, as usual.  In other words, The Leftists will not go quietly.  And, they will certainly not admit defeat.

Here is a “Bias Prep” to ready your election night viewing come 10pm Eastern Time on Nov. 6th.

What will a Romney Victory of 6-Points or More be labeled by the Mainstream Media?

A Landslide?  A Mandate?  A Rejection of Socialism?  The Voice of the People?

Or will we here the Tired Bromide of Racism… or better yet, a “Temper Tantrum“…

I bring this up now because there is plenty of time before the election actually happens and because Romney by no means has this thing in the bag.  Even the clearly Republican engineered “Frankenstorm” designed to suppress the East Coast Socialist Vote may not help…  I knew there was a reason Republicans wanted us all driving SUV’s.

So file this post.  Let’s see how the press handles a Romney Victory should it happen.  (It will happen…)

The Drinking Game should revolve around the Excuses for such a victory.  (It certainly can’t be legitimate… what “journalist” knows anyone voting for Romney?)

I need to start roughing the game out… over a glass of wine.
