A New, Much Needed, Diet for the American People…  not to address the obesity epidemic, but rather the Entitlement Epidemic.

Humble Juice.

This is not about our standing in the world…  this is about our standing with each other.

A watershed moment of growing up is when you suddenly realize you’re not nearly as special as you think you are.  Not only does the Universe not revolve around you… you find out the Universe doesn’t care about you at all.  And it should never be expected to.

This typically coincides with the realization that your parents are not as brilliant and infallible as you thought they were, pets come and go and nothing is free as someone somewhere is paying for it.  But far, far, too many of us never seem to grow up.  And this is a problem because those individuals pose as adults… doing adult things like raising children, buying stuff they can’t afford and voting.  All of these actions effect the rest of us, thus making it our problem.

It’s time for you, and you know who you are whether you want to admit it or not, to drink a full gallon of Humble Juice each and every day while reminding yourself you’re not entitled to anything.  Nothing.  Nobody “owes” you anything… Ever.  You are amazingly unique… just like EVERY other person that is ,or ever has been, alive.

Look in the mirror and repeat the following every morning…

“I am not entitled to a certain standard of living.  My desired standard of living is mine and mine alone.  Because of this, it is mine to support.  If I cannot maintain my desired standard of living it will fall on only my shoulders to answer any debts I accumulated and adjust accordingly my level of what is acceptable.  It is no one else’s problem unless I owe them money.

I am not Entitled to a Loan.  Nobody is obligated to hand me a bunch of money to go buy stuff.  It doesn’t matter what I want to buy… could be a house, could be a horse… it’s not my money and I don’t have a right to it.  When begging for a loan I will respect this fact.  I might bring along a shot of Humble Juice for that moment when I inevitably forget.

I am not entitled to the services of Doctors, Lawyers, Bankers, Farmers, Real Estate Agents, Cashiers, Waitresses, Sanitation Workers, Etc. Etc. Etc.  I pay for these… because they don’t “owe” me anything.

I am not entitled to a retirement provided by someone else, such as my family, the government (read: Taxpayers), my children, neighbors, employers, “Rich People” etc.  Note: Social Security is Bankrupt… it was a promise that could never be kept… and those who made it knew this… those collecting Social Security have, or will have, collected far more than they ever put in.  I don’t expect to see dime.

I am not entitled to have my stuff replaced if it is lost, stolen or destroyed.  If I pay insurance, I have a contract with a business… not an entitlement.  If I didn’t pay for insurance… I have my savings.  If I have no savings… I have broken stuff.  I will think ahead and prepare for such possibilities.

I am not entitled to the love and devotion of my spouse, partner, dating chum… whatever.  This entitlement leads to some of the most unhealthy people on earth.  Symptoms of this misconception include but are not limited to Depression, Anxiety, Obesity, Isolation and the collateral damage to children, family and friends.

I am not entitled to my parents money… as a loan, gift, inheritance etc.  I will grow up!  It’s not my money.  I will earn my own money, then spend it as I see fit.  If I want to give it to my kids, then fine… if not, that’s fine too.  Any hurt feelings are the responsiblity of the person whose feelings are hurt.  No one has the right to force me to hand out my property to anyone.  If I do so, it will be by my choice.

Nobody is obligated to me.  Not my friends, associates, parents, children, neighbors, employees, employers, et al.  I enjoy helping others VOLUNTARILY… and I expect nothing in return.  If I get my feelings hurt it is because I expected something, and that’s my fault.  I will learn to get over it by not projecting my expectations onto others.

I will only receive the voluntary kindness of those who can tolerate me… and there will be precious few who will choose to do so.  And, that’s the way it goes.  Because of this, I appreciate those tolerant enough to be my friend… whatever flavor of friend that might be.

It is my responsibility to understand the decisions I make and take responsibility for the outcomes.  It is my responsibility because that is what is required to remain free.  My Liberty depends on it.

I will work every moment of my life to remind myself of this by choking down my personal gallon of Humble Juice each and every day.”  (In my case, chased with two fingers of single malt scotch.)

If ISIS comes across our Border with Mexico…

It will be no one’s fault but the Democrat Party.

Period.

Followed only by those Leftist Republicans whose deliberate inaction on the issue of securing the borders FIRST prior to any discussion of reform of immigration policy.

If, God forbid, those Terrorist A-Holes succeed in killing American’s here in the U.S. the blood will be on the hands of those elected officials who have placed politics above security, economic and otherwise, for over a decade now.

There is No Excuse for the situation we are in… and our open, unprotected borders have been by design. Whether it was to set the stage for the continued life of the Leftist Democrat Party of the Fascist Left of the Republican party catering to big business…

They ALL will be to blame.

We have been talking about securing the borders since the beginning of the Bush Administration and we have done LESS THAN NOTHING. If anything, we have created a path of death and despair with the promise of free stuff and taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves from outside our country. It is as Sad as it is Sick that anyone supports such a Scheme foisted upon innocence.

But then there’s the not so innocent…

What’s left to add after those who came here illegally begin killing us?

Some offer they started a long time ago.

Wake Up. Secure the Borders. If that means a fence to at least slow them down then so be it.

Once we’re finished with that we can begin the conversation regarding easier access for those who wish to work here.

Insecurity

…Or, Why Regular People are Democrats.

We all desperately want to think we’re smart.

Or at least “smarter” than the other guy.

There is a deep insecurity in all of us that we may be asked a question regarding something we know nothing about.  We will go to great lengths to avoid appearing “stupid”…  we will make things up… we will avoid those who might ask those questions… we will lash out at those who do… and those who are very good at all the above may find themselves elected to public office.

But in the end, we will do anything, anything, anything!.. not to look “dumb”…except learn.

There is no debate here and each of you reading this know it to be true.

The problem is that none of us want to do the work to educate ourselves and have a well formulated opinion.  Instead we decide how we “feel” about any given topic and that’s it.  If there is any extra effort it is only in finding those that “feel” the same way and repeating what they say… which is typically repeating what someone else who “feels” the same way said to them.

The Left knows this.  Lenin wrote on this phenomenon’s importance to any success Socialism might enjoy.

So, instead of promoting you becoming informed… they offer you a way to “appear smart”.

Just BE a Democrat/Leftist/Socialist/Liberal… it’s that simple.

All that’s required of you is to proudly proclaim your enlightened status when asked, and then vote accordingly.  That’s it!  You’re “smart” with none of that annoying homework or additional effort trying to understand anything rationally.

And the ancillary benefit is you get free stuff!  Cool T-shirts, Too clever by half Bumper Stickers, Free Phones, Endless Unemployment checks, $500 million for your idea the market isn’t interested in, etc.  When you consider it, who wouldn’t want to be a Democrat?

(What’s interesting is this doesn’t apply to Republicans.  If you decide to be a Republican you’re transformed  instantly into a toothless, racist, redneck, sleeping with a family member.  On the upside you’re also drunk and carrying a gun.  Even if your Black!  On a more serious note, Liberal Republicans have no “Insecurity” excuse.  They are simply power-hungry Statist/Leftists manipulating democrats who happen to call themselves Republicans because that’s what their parents were. But I digress…)

This is why it is so important for Democrats to position themselves as the “smartest people in the room” thus making all others, in their minds, stupid by default.  It is why Democrats get so angry when someone, anyone, points out the deficiencies of their arguments.  This is an important distinction… they don’t become calm and rational while wishing to argue rationally to further the discussion, instead they become angry.

What the Liberals fail to understand is that nobody knows everything.  Not anyone.

Certainly there are people who excel in areas such as medicine, law, politics etc.  But ask these people to rebuild a carburetor, or throw together a 5-course meal for 20 people in an hour, or manage their own business and suddenly their abilities come up short.  In other words, we all have our areas of specialization.

And, in regard to specialization, there is no area of expertise that we excel at greater than our own lives.  There is not a single person on earth who knows whats best for you better than You!  There are a great number of people who may have valuable advice at certain times throughout your life, but none of them know enough about you to make your decisions for you.

But the idea of making your own decisions, and being held responsible for those decisions, is scary.  Very, very scary.

And the Left knows this too.

That’s why they’re there for you…

So be “smart”, be a Democrat.  They have all that nasty decision-making crap taken care of for you… and before you go, have some free stuff.  It’s totally cool, ask any Millionare-Movie Star.
