Seriously, stop paying attention to that which is reality based and surrounded by unpleasant facts. Stay focused on hypotheticals and only those issues whose proposed solutions would continue to erode your individual rights.  Banning Guns, Banning Hate Speech, and increased levels of Domestic Surveillance… that should take care of the 1st, 2nd and 4th Amendments.  We may want to park some soldiers in your house for a few days without your permission sometime in the near future just to fill in the gap.  We’re working on that one… we’ll get back to you.

So remained focused on gun violence… but not in Chicago.  And ignore the crime wave associated with mental illness and gangs… because it is actually the wheel… sorry, the gun’s fault.

It’s imperative we stay on the path of fiscal insolvency driven by a unanswerable, nebulous, government… with the best of intentions.

In case you’ve been immersed in the latest happenings on the Transgender Transformation Front and missed what Pamela Geller’s ‘Draw Mohammed’ Contest has provoked… allow me to catch you up.

Two Terrorist A-Holes decided they were going to show up and kill Everyone.

Both Terrorist A-Holes were shot dead by a Gun Clinging Texas Cop (Who probably thought they were Black Guys just minding their own business, and shot them as a matter of protocol.).

The Leftists from every corner of the political spectrum (Right, Left, CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, The Catholic Church, Republicans, Democrats, etc. etc. etc.) are blaming Pamela Geller.  I mean, Did you See The Way She Was Dressed!?  She was ASKING FOR IT!

The AP is lamenting the demise of the Terrorist A-Holes… seriously.  They have decided to own the position that the deaths of two Terrorist A-Holes, who couldn’t stand the insult of a cartoon and decided to try to kill a bunch of people, is a tragedy.  (If that’s not an open illustration of ‘who you can trust’ I don’t know what is.)

That about sums it up.

Frankly, Pamela Geller’s group should be receiving federal NEA dollars for her contest. That would be a consistent start to the conversation as it would ‘level the playing field’ with all those artists who have legitimized their ‘art’ by intentionally provoking every other religious institution found in the United States (except Islam).

Or, inversely, removing Federal Tax Dollars from ALL arts and returning the market dynamic to the Artistic Process as it has been for Thousands of Years.  Think that redistributing your hard-earned money to Feces Covered paintings of the Virgin Mary is good Government?  Quick… think of an Artistic Masterpiece!  Hold that image in your mind… There were no Government subsidies for that piece of work.  Someone purchased it, with intent.  Or, it was created with the hope someone would.  It was not blindly funded.

Provoking religious institutions is PROTECTED SPEECH… just as the religious institutions existence IS PROTECTED.  So important is this… IT COMES FIRST in the Bill of Rights!

What is profoundly fascinating?

This event has drawn out the Leftist Religious types (Cardinal Dolan) to illustrate the hypocrisy I just tapped out, but instead of using it as an example of how we all must tolerate such provocation… they demand Drawing Mohammed Pictures be classified as “Hate Speech” in order to control it.  Cardinal Dolan is Jealous.

In other words, Socialists of all flavors see the danger in defending Pamela Geller… The are in a desperate, twisted, position.

If They defend her, as they should, they undermine the control of speech they have worked so diligently to secure. Remember, Political Correctness favors those who cannot argue their ideas on the merits of reason and rational.  So… What Control the Leftists currently have must be preserved… no matter how insipid they may sound when they say it out loud…

But the Left is not content to simply hold on to their current suppression of your Free Speech Rights, they wish to expand upon it.

Those coming out of the woodwork see the danger presented in this debate, and must move the window in their direction by arguing for yet More Restrictive Measures to be applied to what you may, and may not, say.  Cardinal Dolan is not demanding tolerance for those who Draw Pictures of Mohammed… he is lobbying for the Ability to Quash those who would provoke the Catholic Church.  And, amusingly, the very Leftist ‘artists’ who were insulting The Church just yesterday are siding with Dolan today.  It’s not because they are ignorant… well, they clearly are… but rather because what’s at risk here is control over what you say.

This event is allowing us a rare glimpse into the hearts and minds of those we might otherwise trust. Real time.

It is serving to flush out those talking heads, and ideological Icons, who profess to be, but in reality are not, excited about adhering to the Constitution of the United States and The Bill of Rights.

I believe these are the most dangerous among us… as they hide behind words we agree with, but their actions serve to undermine our Freedoms.  They support only the speech they agree with, and fight only the battles that have no meaningful outcome in regard to protecting our Freedom and Liberty.

If you decide to pay attention to this story, you may be surprised by who comes to the defense of Pamela Geller… and more importantly… Who does Not.

Pamela Geller is offensive to those on the Left not because she is provoking Islam, but exactly because she is attacking the gains the Left has made in Controlling Speech.

And for that… she must be destroyed.

In this upside down world,

It demands Progressive Liberals argue against the very provocative tactics the they have used for decades to push their Democratic Socialist agenda Forward!

It also serves to reveal the true faces of those who would otherwise hide behind the Labels of ‘Conservative’ and ‘Republican’.

4 out of 5 Socialists Recommend Controlling Speech

In a Recent unscientific Survey 4 out of 5 Socialists said they believe Offensive Speech should be Controlled.

Rather than stand on Principle and cast Sunshine on supposedly ‘deadly’ speech expressed in newspapers, television and the internet thus allowing All if Us to condemn it…  Our Government prefers to sidestep that argument and ask for Increased Control of all methods of expression.

Why?

Because controlling Speech is an important weapon employed by those in power to remain in power.

Think about it this way; If you’re doing things people hate you for, what better way to avoid their anger than to make sure they never know about it… and if they do find out, you can tell them whatever you want while making sure nobody can challenge your hogwash.  If anyone tries to shed light on your crappy behavior anyway… send some Force their way.

Of course you need to convince enough people these controls ‘are for their own good’ or, in pure Irony, ‘to safeguard Free Speech’.  Those that support you, for whatever unimaginable reason, will nod in agreement.  They might even grab a Starbucks, Stop Bathing, Misspell a Sign and Sit in a Park.  Get enough Useful Types like these and you’ve inoculated yourself against all those who recognize the danger you represent.  Machiavelli would be Proud.

We are seeing this play out right in front of us.

New Controls are being created for the Internet.  Last time I checked the Internet has done pretty well without them…

It Keeps getting Faster…  It Keeps getting Better… all by Private Means.

But it represents all that Socialists believe is Evil.

And that cannot be tolerated.

Do I have any Catholic readers out there who can explain this to me?

I’m fully open to cogent arguments on this.

To start things off, I would offer that one’s reaction to Free Speech has Limits.  In other words, you can if you choose answer Free Speech with More Free Speech.  However, the Pope goes as far as stating violence, if someone where to insult his mother, should be expected with the implication it would be acceptable.  Expected or not, it is the Acceptable part, even the implication of it, I have the problem.

Anyone want to take a shot on how Free Speech can have Limitations?

If so, who exactly will be in charge of deciding what those Limitations are?

If it only applies to One’s Faith, then what about Religious atheists?  Religious Communists?  Religious Satanists?  Religious Cults who practice everything from Pedophilia to Human Sacrifice?

Or is it strictly up to the Pope to decide?  What about the 12th Imam?  Or any Imam de jour?  Rabbi’s?  Monks?  Drunks?

As I have explained before, Liberal Socialists LOVE subjectivity.  In their mind it puts them in charge of what’s OK and what is not, a genuinely potent power to have.  You add the ability to Force and you have a recipe for Oppression, Death and Destruction.  (Regarding Pope Francis, if he see himself as the head of State then his is a Theocracy which is a distinction without a difference when it is compared to Socialist/Statist Governing Theory.)

Speech is either Free, or it is not.

Speech-Free Zones

Using his Executive Authority President Obama penned into law Millions of Mobile Speech-Free Zones across the United States.

This morning, during 45-minute signing ceremony, the President of the United States announced this as a Great Day for America and that His latest Executive Action was just the beginning of a Brand New Age.  Mr. Obama went on to say to those attending that Mobile Speech-Free Zones will release all of us from debate-lock and allow us to spend our time in complete Agreement.  This statement was received with a standing ovation led by Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who later told reporters that being Free of Rational Thought will allow the American People more time to be Actors and Artists.

Wrapping up the event, the President explained that “This Momentous Day has been brought about by all Political Discussions being won by Progressive Liberal’s utilizing their Superior intellect and there is nothing left to talk about.”  “…Consider this a gift to Humanity.”  The last line bringing the attending Press to their feet with applause.

It is unclear where these Mobile Speech-Free Zones will be located. When asked about this President Obama said “You’ll know it when you’re in One.” and  “It’s safest to assume you’re always in One.”  When asked how the zones would be enforced President Obama said that an Historic Collaboration between the NSA, DHS and the IRS has been created to oversee the effectiveness of the new zones.

Claiming to represent the Republican response Senator John McCain appeared just outside the signing ceremony.  When asked for comment Senator McCain said “Brilliant!  Just Brilliant!”

Overall, The Press reaction has been largely Favorable as it resembles what many in the media have called for since the advent of Cable Television and Talk Radio.  Several of the Senior White House Press Corps stated off the record that this has been a long time coming.  Their point of view is that public discourse needed to be discontinued as the public really doesn’t know anything anyway.
