So there I was, Minding my own Scotch… and I get a message from X.  In the most perfunctory way possible he made clear it was time for me to dig myself out from the secure comfort I’ve been enjoying and return to the fray.

Well… Fine!

Who am I to disagree?

I have to say right up front, it has been an exciting few months.  From the ANTIFA-Facists to the complete fabrication of accusations used to slime a man who is far better than I, the Theater of the Absurd never ends.

The timeliness of X’s prompt is exquisite.  It just so happened that I was struck by something so profoundly stupid that I was seriously considering putting my drink down.  So let’s go there first…

A Gentleman by the name of Ruchir Sharma said the following on what used to be a go to network for business news;

“We may or may not believe in [American exceptionalism], but the financial markets have never believed in it to such an extent,” added Sharma, head of emerging markets and chief global strategist at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.”

Please read that again real quick.

So…

I would ask Mr. Sharma what American Exceptionalism has to do with a booming economy?  If he is speaking to Property Rights and the influx of foreign investment which is recognizing the United States as a Safe Haven for their wealth, then okay… maybe… but I’m not sure he is.  I believe he is conflating the financial success of the current economic reforms, which are returning the United States to its position as the World Leading Economic Engine, with Freedom and Liberty of the Individual.  I would then remind Mr. Sharma that it is the latter which constitutes “American Exceptionalism”.

Why is this such a big deal?

It’s a big friggin’ deal because the Socialist Democrats have been diligently dumbing down our population for decades in the hopes ‘educated’ individuals like Mr. Sharma will intentionally or unintentionally continue to do their work for them.  Sadly, they have been very, very, successful.

However, in his defense let’s assume Mr. Sharma knows what American Exceptionalism is.  Now let’s take the beginning of his assertion… “We may or may not believe in [American Exceptionalism]…”.  I then have to ask who it is that does not believe in Freedom and Liberty of the Individual?  You speak as if you know or this opening qualification would not be necessary.

Yes, yes… I know these people are out there Hammering away at the Malleable Proletariat but I like to have them on the record so we all know who they are which is why I ask.  (One of the reasons I’ve been hiding out around the Barnes and Noble in Tyson’s Corner, aside from all the TOTALLY COMMON and super awesome Gang Rape Parties that EVERYONE has ALL THE TIME around the short hop to Bethesda, is watching how Trump’s mere existence is bringing these Socialist Democrat A-holes out into the open.)

So Who is it, Mr. Sharma, that does not believe in American Exceptionalism?  Who is it exactly that does not believe in the Freedom and Liberty of the Individual and the power inalienable rights has unleashed upon the World propelling the United States to the most powerful country on Earth in just a short few hundred years?  Who are these people who believe a person’s rights are bestowed upon them by Government made up of fallible, elitist, narcissistic beings and not God… or the Universe… or simply because they Exist?

Who?

Name names…

It’s okay, Mr. Sharma, I know you can’t do this for several of reasons.  1.)  You may be one of those people.  2.)  You like your paid gig and wish to keep it by specifically not offending those fallible, narcissistic elitists who employ you.  3.)  Both 1 and 2.

So allow me to say what I’m hoping you meant to say.

The Current Economic Boom occurring in The United States is substantially due to the removal of barriers upon the Engine of Capitalism which were erected by Socialist Scum as they believe it’s not ‘Fair’ that Free (er) Markets are so damned successful and restraining them is the only hope for their foolish Command and Control Economic Idiocy to catch up.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I’m sure that’s what you wanted to say…

I make every effort to foster a ‘safe place’ for all types of discussion.  There are no topics I consider off-limits.  For that matter, most language is tolerated if it’s within context.  However there is one word that’s absolutely forbidden.

The four-letter “F” word.

I find the “F” word so offensive that I’ve had to post signs during get-togethers reminding my friends that it’s not to be used within the walls of my home.  At first they laugh, but then I remind them I’ve asked people to leave because they refused to stop using it.

I have to admit there is a longer list of words that I find disgusting, crude and distasteful.  These words can cause me to flinch visibly when uttered in my presence.  These are the kinds of words that if your kid comes in the room and employs them in a sentence, your face squishes up like you just bit into a lemon.  But that one word, that single most offensive word, is the one that earns them a slap across the face.  Possibly two.

I’m regularly appalled, as I’m sure you are, by how common the “F” word is used in public.  I’m even beginning to hear it on television!  It is commonly used in movies and music… and astonishingly, no one appears to care! It seems to easily slip off the tongue of young people and adults alike.  Protesters waive it around on signs, even politicians employ it with ease and often loudly.

Just writing about this is making me feel dirty.

It’s disgusting.

But we all know we can never fix that which we refuse to recognize.

So, for those of you easily offended, please cover your eyes… now.

“Fair”.

There!  I said it.

(I apologize for typing it out loud.  I need to go was my hands, and find a random kid to slap a couple times… just because.)

“Fair” is the most horrific and misused word in any language.

“Fair” is a word used to divide.

“Fair” a tool used to destroy reason.

“Fair” is as undefinable as it is unachievable.

Each of us has a different definition of its meaning making it the perfect escape for those whose arguments are too weak to defend and have no other option but to imply any disagreement they encounter is malevolent.

It’s only use is to justify theft, oppression, discrimination, death and destruction.

It’s a word that above all others should be permanently removed from our lexicon.

 

The Leftist Lexicon

I’ve written previously regarding the language of the Left.
Many of us realize the battle to control the language is fought in order to control the argument.
An easy example of this is the use of the words “Ask”, “Rich” and “Fair Share”.
When you hear a Progressive make the statement “I don’t think it is unreasonable to ask the rich to pay their fair share…”  What is really being said is “I don’t think it is unreasonable to FORCE THOSE DETERMINED BY ME to pay AN AMOUNT I DECIDE ON.”

Of course I find this reprehensible as it necessarily requires one individual to have the power of force over other individuals.  Not just to make them pay something… but to decide what and how much they will be forced to pay.  There is incredible power in being “The Decider”.

Anyway… the latest example of this strange language is “Social Welfare” in regard to tax exempt status.

The press is repeating the term “Social Welfare” ad nauseum when talking about the latest in IRS malfeasance.

The Left owns the term… and they have used it to remove The Individual from the argument of governing theory.

In other words, “Social Welfare” as the Progressives define it does not mean the preservation of Individual Liberty and Freedom.  What they define it as is “Communal Welfare”.

Of course the Liberals will never use the word “Communal” as it leads people to “Communist”, and they have spent decades trying to separate “Socialism” from “Communism” in the minds of those same people…  Not educate mind you, as that would illuminate the differences without distinction… just the idea that they are completely different.  They know the people are “not ready” for a serious discussion regarding Communism… but Socialism is met with less push back in the focus groups.  (Socialism sounds so nice… to those who know nothing about it.)

So the debate, as offered from the Left, is that groups “not supporting Social Welfare” should not be allowed tax exempt status… and since they do not consider the preservation of Individual Rights a part of promoting “Social Welfare” then the groups targeted by the IRS had it coming.

Yes, I know this seems to be a subtle argument and will most likely be met with an accusation of paranoia by those who know it to be true and whose ideology benefits from such subtleties.

But I have been involved in “modifying” language for years, for exactly the same purposes as those doing it now… different reasons, but the same methods.  I know this to be true.

And once you see it you can’t “un-see” it.

Listen Carefully.  Watch Closely.  Think Relentlessly.

Keeping the Pain Alive…

Starbucks would like to meet you for Coffee and have a chat about Race.

They also expect you to buy their stuff…

While I have little to add to what is already being said about this, there is one aspect being overlooked.

Only Racists are so consumed with Race that they feel the need to talk about it as if it matters.

We are all Individuals.  Single Human Beings.  At the moment of creation we are all Equal… after that moment, all bets are off.  What happens after that rests largely on what We Choose to do with our lives seasoned with a bit of Luck often favoring the prepared.

Time to accept this and move on.

Believing in Equality, or Fairness, of Outcome leads only to disenchantment… nothing else… ever…  The Universe does not recognize either concept. Equality or Fairness, nor does it care about your perceived slights, advantages or disadvantages.

The Best we can do as Individual Humans is seek Equality before the Law… Equality for INDIVIDUALS, Not specific Races, Religions or the Myriad Genders we suddenly seem to have discovered.

Anything else is the purview of Envy…

The concept of “Fair” is poisonous, and allowing it to permeate your thoughts will only lead to perpetual disappointment.

I will end this with a promise.

If any Barista at Starbucks, raised on institutionalized “check the box” racism*, attempts to place a racist hashtag, be it #racetogether, #killwhitey or #nazisarecool, I will ask them to put my beverage into another cup.  And while they’re doing that, I will explain to them…

Only Racists are Obsessed with Race.

All of this is built of foundations of sand.  And this is what we get from Coffee shops peddling burnt coffee.

It’s always about appearing to care… not actually caring.  This makes it easy because you really don’t have to think much to look like you give a crap.  IN other words, they get to Scribble some racist nonsense on my overpriced coffee and feel good about themselves… while never having to make an effort to think about what they’re doing.

*Check the box Racism is sadly practiced throughout our country.  You are prompted, and expected, to declare your race on every form and application from Insurance and Banking to Education.  How do you convincingly convey that Race does not Matter when it so evidently does.

 

Why is Fair a Dirty Word?

Many of us think all things should be Fair.

But this thought illustrates two things about us…

First, we cannot comprehend that fairness does not, nor will, ever exist anywhere in nature.

Second, it shows our predisposition to Envy those around us, because if we didn’t there would be no need to seek a platitude like “Fair”.

Yet, This is what motivates Outcome based Egalitarians, Progressives, Democrats, Liberals and Leftists of all stripes.

Why?

Because Envy is powerful… ,

Balkanization Easy,

And Economic Understanding weak.

A Response to Elizabeth Warren

In a recent speech Elizabeth Warren outlined ‘What it means to be a Progressive’.

I find it necessary to reprint Ms. Warren’s outline (in italics) followed by my response…

– “We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we’re willing to fight for it.”

Wall Street is not the problem.  The power of our Politicians to grant Wall Street et al. favors and cover them from enforcement is the problem.  Removing that power from our elected representatives is the ONLY answer.  There are no other solutions.

– “We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth.”

We also believe in Science.  However, instead or proposing solutions, that coincidentally benefit our campaign donors and their friends, to problems we cannot define we expect to retain the element of Science that is Rational and Reasoned.  Skepticism is an integral part of Science and must be nurtured lest the scientific method be abandoned and all things to be determined through consensus.  If this were the case the world would still be considered flat.  So why do we want to go down that road again, Ms. Warren?

– “We believe that the Internet shouldn’t be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality.”

We believe the Internet should be ‘rigged’ to benefit everybody including ‘big corporations’ which is why we expect you to leave it alone.

– “We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage.”

We believe destroying the buying power of those you profess to want to help by raising the minimum wage and subsequently the cost of goods across the board while simultaneously reducing the availability of what goods are left is ignorant and self-destructive.  We believe that the individual has a choice and should retain that choice to exercise the principle of substitution when it comes to employment.  If that individual chooses to work full-time, either directly or through a series of decision-making which demands it, then so be it.  We believe creating new businesses which pay all kinds of wages which are determined by the business owner alone allows for greater choice for the individual to better their lives… if they choose.

– “We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them.”

We believe you, Ms. Warren, and your cronies simply hate whatever you define as ‘Fast Food’ and want to do everything you can to shut down the readily available nutrition it supplies the American Population.  Your War on Food is well documented and is based on the premise that the American People are too Stupid to make decisions for themselves thus you have undertaken the effort to reduce their options to feed their families.  You should be ashamed, but you have no shame.

– “We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt.”

We believe the no one is entitled to anything.  Using the word entitled revisits a past where only those ‘noble’ people associated with Royalty enjoyed the benefits of their labor allowed by a King.  That aside, when you make something ‘free’ you make it worthless… just as you and your ilk have done with Elementary Education, High School Education and if you get your wish College Education.  (You’ve pretty much already achieved it, just ask graduating Seniors how valuable their Degree is in today’s job market.  For that matter ask a High School Graduate to read… anything… out loud.)

– “We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions.”

Once again, the word entitled… let’s try ‘deserve’ instead.  We believe that after a lifetime of work people ‘deserve’ the fruits of their decision-making.  If they went to the casino and gambled away all of their earnings they will be subject to whatever safety net We the People, who did not waste our money and planned for retirement, determine they should have.  The only people this part of Ms. Warren’s platform should appeal to are those who do not save and do not plan ahead, and know it.  These are the people who rely on some ambiguous definition of ‘fair’, that is whatever definition benefits them directly, when it comes time to pay the price of their decisions.  They wish to be irresponsible and never be judged for it.  They expect to use the power of Government Force to mortgage the lives of The Responsible instead of living with the consequences of their decisions.  They should be reminded that whatever support they receive from ‘the Government’ is actually a Gift from the rest of us.  I would even find it acceptable that every person who receives subsidies from the Government be compelled, by Government Force, to write Thank You notes to a minimum of 100 taxpayers every year until they become self-sufficient.  The Stigma of taking and the Pride of Producing must be returned to the system.

– “We believe—I can’t believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work.”

I Agree.  And you don’t have to say that in 2014 unless you’re addressing the Current Progressive Administration occupying White House.

– “We believe that equal means equal, and that’s true in marriage, it’s true in the workplace, it’s true in all of America.”

We believe Government should get out of the Marriage Business altogether.  Marriage is between you and your church.  The day’s of some Government Bureaucrat deciding that Blacks shouldn’t marry Whites and only Certain Families can marry certain other Families should be long, long over.  We Don’t Care.  And Frankly, the idea your marriage must be validated by some Government Worker should be nauseating at a minimum.  Get Government’s dirty, fat, bloated, hands off our Marriages.  As far as Government is concerned, Contract Law should do just fine.

– “We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform.”

We believe using words like ‘reform’ are designed to get people to nod their heads in agreement instead of asking for a definition.  We believe that a Liberal Work Visa Program should be initiated while keeping all current immigration requirements in place.  We believe in Tall Fences and Wide Gates.  We believe that those who come here to work should be able to send their money anywhere they wish.  We believe the American People should never be asked to pay welfare for those who are not Citizens of the United States… not… even… asked.  And if those that do choose to come here like the American Experience and want to stay, they must get in line to become a Citizen like every legal immigrant has done before them.  If not, then they can rest assured that as long as they obey our laws, return to their country of origin for two weeks every year and do nothing to foment or agitate Anti-American Sentiment then they will be welcome here to work.  If they choose not to do these things they will not be welcome.  Simple.

– “And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!”

We believe that Corporations are IN FACT people.  A Corporation is created by Human Beings and made up of Human Beings and subsequently creates products enjoyed by Human Beings which make their lives better and more productive or they wouldn’t purchase them.  It is also worth noting that the Humans Beings which make up, and enjoy the benefits of, Corporations are over 50% Women… with Bodies.  The fact that Corporations should not be involved in Anyone’s sex life, women’s or any of the other varied genders, is a point we can all agree.  Which is why Corporations and the Human Beings who make them up should not be expected to pay for Anyone’s sex life.  Easy Enough.  If you want to fight for some inane and poorly thought out line of logic go ahead.  We’ll be here waiting.

And the main tenet of conservatives’ philosophy, according to Warren? “I got mine. The rest of you are on your own.”

We believe it would be more accurate to state: “I’ve got mine, now I can help you get yours if I choose to.”  Absent in our philosophy is Force.  We believe in Choice.  Choice is sacred to Us and every Human Being’s Freedom depends on that Choice being protected at all costs.  I would rather die Poor and Free than Wealthy and Enslaved.  Warren and her Progressive/Socialist ideology bring only Slavery.  So, by her own words, Ms. Warren is rallying the useful idiots to ‘fight for’… Slavery.

This is true of Every Socialist… no matter what they call themselves.

What happens when you have struggled through a website designed by the worlds most inept, and expensive, web designers…

You’ve decided that paying three times more for insurance is a “good deal”.

When you come to your senses and being covered for a Pap Smear, while your wife is being covered for her Prostate Exam. is logical, reasonable and rational.

While accepting that dog food probably won’t taste so bad… since that’s what you’ll be eating just so you can pay the tripling of your out-of-pocket deductible.

And, finally, hoping whatever subsidy you might qualify for is continued FOREVER out of government generosity with money they don’t have…

Only to find out,

Those Damned Greedy Doctors are doing a number of things, none of which is embracing the brilliance of getting paid even less with the advent of Government enforced Private Insurance Monopolies which will eventually turn into the Mother of all Government Monopolies known as Single Payer Health Care.

Aside from Retiring, choosing other professions or opening clinics which rely almost exclusively on Nurse Practitioners…  They are Not taking the Obama Care insurance.

But Wait! There’s More!

Those few who are smart enough to be Damned Greedy Doctors are seriously considering other career paths which can capitalize on their intelligence and attention to detail in order to earn wealth for themselves and their families… instead of Medicine.

Those who are Currently Competent Doctors, and decide to stick with the only profession they know instead of retiring, will move into “boutique” medicine.  In other words cash for service.

For those of you out there who believe the word “fair” has a definition and think Obama Care is a good idea, the “rich” you seem to despise with all your heart will get the best treatment and the “poor” who are the richest poor on the face of the planet will get far less than what you thought they were getting just a few months ago.

While the old saying is “You get what you deserve”, I just don’t want what You deserve.

If you think you Deserve More Government… you have the Rest of The World.  There’s 194 other countries to select from.

I have a question for you.  Are you honest enough with yourself to ask why you don’t live in one of those now?  Heck, Mexico is beautiful!  So is Jamaica… and parts of Cuba!  The skiing in Canada is World Class…

If your answer is “Because this is the greatest country on the planet.”, then why are you trying to change it into a place you would not choose to live?

I have an idea, stop voting and start smoking your medicine.

President Obama has directly Challenged Me.

In His latest TV appearance President Obama looked right at me then challenged me to state unequivocally “What I am For.”  He told me it is “My Responsibility”.  While it’s not up to him to define what “My Responsibilities” are…  he was speaking directly to me.  He didn’t even bother to hide the messages in the commercials like he usually does. So…

OK.

Mr. President,

I am For preventing a Government Take-over of 1/6th of the American Economy with the express purpose of destroying any hope for Choice, Competition and Free-Market solutions which are not only the sole protectors of our Individual Rights but the foundation of the once freest and most prosperous country on the face of the planet.

I am For a Government which abides by the Nations Laws as written and recorded for history in the Constitution of the United States.

I am For Freedom and Liberty of the Individual just as the Founding Fathers were.

I am For every Individual’s Right to Choose what is best for them rather than other people appointing themselves the Right to Force their world view upon us.

I am For the Government staying out of the Markets because when they do intrude we get Market Distortions like Banks being Forced to Lend people money who could never pay it back… Nationalization of Car Companies… Sky Rocketing College Tuition… Bail Out’s for Wall Street… and not least being the current destruction of Health Care.

I am For not doubling, tripling and quadrupling people’s Health Care costs.

I am For the People demanding a return to the Bottom Up Government this Country was, and still is, designed to be.

I am For calling Socialism what it is. Socialism.  I’m even OK with labeling what it really is… Communism Light.

I am For the Limited Government our Founders intended and calling out those who oppose this idea as Anti-American.

I am For a population which understands the Oppression, Destruction and Ultimately Death that Socialism brings to every place on Earth it finds support.

I am For politicians who vocalize the Suffering, Despair and Permanent Political Class all flavors of Socialism creates.

I am For not Printing Money just so you and your Ideological Ilk can Spend what we do not have.

I am For creating Private Sector Jobs by the simplest of solutions… that being getting the Government out-of-the-way.

I am For Repealing, Rolling Back and Dismantling all of the Socialist Schemes that brought us to the point.  All of them.  If we can’t do that, then Privatize them.  No exceptions.

I am For everybody having the Opportunity to follow their dreams… not you deciding who is allowed to do so and who is not.

I am For education which is honest about Statism and its demonstrable failures world over.

I am For teaching Capitalism rather than perverting it or best case omitting it all together.

I am For our representatives, especially the Chief Executive, respecting why this country was founded and what has made it great.  Then I Hope for the Change needed to return us to the shining light on the hill instead of Socialists bent on destroying it in the names of “Fairness” and “Justice” when they really mean Control.

I am For Democrats, and Many Republicans, being honest about their passionate desire to hold the Power of Force over the American People.

I am For Politicians being called out, chastised, demonized and shamed when they make televised Speeches which play on the ignorance of the American Public.

I am For Media Outlets willing to do the above.

So once again Snake has caused me to think… so here I am staring at a hand painted Ceramic Skull filled with 110-proof Reposado tapping through a thought.

After Canadian Rattlesnake’s last post Let It Burn, which I reposted here on makeaneffort and past comment exchanges with Dan Miller in Panama, a couple of things hit me.

First… Snake’s right.  It’s too late.  It’s too late for the changes that must be made to be painless.  The Government Education system has fulfilled its role in removing any understanding of Voluntary Exchange and Free-Market Capitalism, not by demonizing it but rather by simply omitting it.  The demonizing of it is consigned to the Main-Stream Media and it’s brothers in the Entertainment Industry.  This fact has left us with a population who does not, can not, comprehend the pain which is headed our direction.  Even if they did, they would not understand why they are directly responsible for this eventuality due to their support of those individuals who champion the intrusion of Government.  It is exactly this intrusion into the our beleaguered Capitalist system which has brought us to this point.  It is the undying wish to manipulate what is the Default State of Economics that causes strife worldwide and it has Progressively invaded our shores over the last 100-years.

It’s here.

…Everywhere you look.

Any assertion that we can “avoid it” is long past its expiration date.

So what now?

The only course of action I see is Reaching Out.  Reaching Out is a non-violent, no-lose, approach to what is in store for us.

If each of us reaches out to just 5 people who believe themselves opposed to what we “think”, or are remaining quiet because they feel intimidated by their lack of knowledge, we can start the conversations so desperately needed.  It’s called “grass-roots” organizing.  It’s a page out of Alinsky… and the Socialists have shown us it works.

First, this is the only way to “fight the man” and explain American Exceptionalism to those who consider themselves already educated because they met the requirements to earn certain diploma’s.  (Bizarre isn’t it?  So strange that self sufficiency and personal responsibility are considered “rebellious”… times have oddly changed.)  Trust me, I’ve met many individuals who have achieved higher levels of education that are woefully uneducated when it comes to the basics of this country.  I have learned to ignore ones “credentials” until demonstrated as valid.  It’s rare that this behavior has left me surprised.

Second, if things end up as bad as they could be we will have established a group of people around us who have not lost all hope.  This is key, because those without hope are the same as drowning men… they will pull you down with them.  We will need calm, reasoned, rational individuals who understand free-market economics.  These people will instinctively know that the two “f” words, free and fair, simply do not exist.  It will be us and those we gather around us who will repair the damage caused by those currently in power… massive damage indeed.

This is all we can do.

I was having a conversation with a couple from Turkey several days ago.  The topic came up on the old Soviet Satellite States and how they were faring since the collapse of their Patron.  The simplest observation was once the Soviet support, by means of infrastructure and money, disappeared those “who wished to be free” suddenly found themselves confronted with problems they never before had to address.  And, as is always the case, the Thugs took over and prevented any change or solutions that they didn’t directly control.  The Thugs took over everything from distribution of food to one’s ability to travel.  It was societal de-evolution.  It’s a lesson repeated throughout history.  We left it there.  We just stopped at the assessment without asking the obvious question of “How could one prevent that scenario from occurring?”.

The above discussion also lent to this post.  The answered now seems easy… once you understand why those people living around the old Communist State couldn’t figure out what to do.  But, for some reason, we always seem satisfied at stopping at the assessment.

As is always the case, the populations of the Satellite States didn’t know what to do… because they didn’t know what to do.  Nobody had ever showed them what to do.  No one had ever had an interest in teaching them what to do.  In fact, the exact opposite had been drilled into them for decades.  Dependency was what was required by the Social Democrats.  Sound Familiar?

Had the populations of those countries been versed in Free-Market Capitalism and Individual Liberty they would have been far better prepared to deal with the sudden responsibilities of self-rule.  The Thug’s would still be present and they would still attempt to assert their power over others through force, but they would be meeting formidable resistance.  Instead, the populations had been trained to be supplicants.  They have been taught to wait for someone else to come and fix their problems.  They have been conditioned to expect their needs to be taken care of by some nebulous bureaucracy answerable to no one, and if that fails to be taken care of by someone… anyone… even the local Thug.

Make no mistake… it is now our responsibility to teach that which has been intentionally omitted from our schools and institutes of higher education.  It’s now that we must Reach Out to those five folks around us and once they have a working knowledge of how this country was founded and why free trade protects it send them out to find five folks of their own.  Now.  Right Now.

It’s time to stop counting on things always being okay.  It’s time to start thinking about what we are going to do once it’s not okay.  Well, it’s already not okay, but it is not getting better regardless of what your being told.

When you’ve Socialized Medicine, taken the Fascist approach to owning all Means of Production through Regulation and now our politicians are talking about seizing your retirement plans, we’re in deep.  Very, very deep.

We need many, many people at the grass-roots level that understand nothing is free…. or fair.  But our innate right to Individual Liberty is always our Individual Responsibility.

We need many, many people who know how to run successful businesses that don’t depend on their buddies on the city council sending them taxpayer dollars through government contracts.  Whose success is delivering a product the people want, not dependent on taxpayer patronage bequeathed from “well-intentioned” politicians promoting their pet projects which create things nobody wants.

We need many, many people with skills directly applicable to real world needs… not idiots like me whose only skill is intoxicated drooling over a laptop keyboards.  In other words, basket weaving could once again be a practical profession.  Knowing how to make things should never have been demoted by Elitists to the level it now occupies.  People who can make things are in short supply and will soon be in high demand.

Get started.

Go out, grab your five and get to work.  It is personal responsibility chock full of self-interest.  It is what we must do.

We’re all in this together, as individuals… and no matter what the outcome of our current race to drive this country over the cliff, we will be better for each of your efforts.
