Keeping You A Useful Idiot for over 100-years…

I can attest, it is a dark day when you wake up and realize that you are the useful idiot you have been warning everyone about.

My epiphany happened about 25 years ago.

For the vast number of you, it hasn’t happened yet.

And that’s why we’re here…

Ask yourself “What if I am a useful idiot?”

I know… an open-minded, brilliant, independent, thinker such as yourself can not be swayed by those who wish to “pull one over on you”. You “see” what’s going on. You “Get it”.  It’s everyone else that’s the problem.

You might be right.

But you might not be…

Let’s talk about just a few of the ways those in power keep you ignorant and pliant. Let’s consider how they play the game, and how you keep falling for it. Let’s think… about how you may not actually “Get It”.

Here’s Three prominent topics:

Gay Marriage, Reducing the Deficit and Keeping you Safe.

Once you understand it, it becomes easier to spot.  Those in Power frame an argument that you can never win, even when you think you have… because no matter the outcome, it keeps them in Power.

I know you fall for this because you’re “smart” and you “care”.  In fact, you’re so motivated to “educate” those ignorant of whatever plight you’ve adopted as important… you’re willing to misspell a sign, grab a corporate coffee and defile a park just to spread the word.

So let’s get started.

First up; Gay Marriage.

Whether you fought for the “right” to get married as a homosexual, or whether you believe marriage should be between only a man and a woman… you’re wrong. You’re being used. (read that again… and again if you have to.)

Okay Gay folks… you’re not fighting for a “right” to anything but begging some county bureaucrat to validate your marriage. You are begging some random fool to tell you that you are legitimate.  Haven’t thought about it that way? Well you should have. There’s no excuse for failure to think critically. Your marriage is none of the government’s damned business, period. The Government should never have had the power to determine who can and who cannot get married. It should be as insulting as it is abhorrent. (It’s get’s worse when you find out that the power to “grant” marriage licenses was born out of the racist inclinations of those powerful individuals of the past. Can’t have our kids marrying those blacks folks now can we. Did I fail to add disgusting?)

Okay you Only a Man and a Woman folks… many, if not all of you, would tell me to my face that Government is “Too Big” and involved in places “it does not belong!”. Well no sh*t. And this is one of them. The issue of who can be “married” and who cannot is strictly between you and your church. Period. Government has no place determining whose marriage should be valid and whose should not. It’s none of their damned business. And… it’s none of yours unless you’re the one getting married… in your church. And if you don’t like it, change churches. But the only action Government should be involved in when it comes to marriages is recording the civil union contract if the parties desire.

Here’s what’s truly amazing as it has to do with both of you folks, you’re both useful idiots. Why?

Because both of your arguments retain Government Power as the ultimate decider. And being the decider is all those in love with Government Force want and need. You are being played.

Next up; Reducing the Deficit.

This one you’ll hear repeatedly during election years. One or both of the candidates will first promise to “reduce the deficit”. Do you know what that means? Clearly most of you do not. It means they are promising to reduce THE SPEED that we are racing to the cliff of fiscal oblivion, ie. the point at which money means nothing.

This often morphs into “I will balance the budget!”, which is equally stupid and embraced by those brilliant, independent, thinkers filling the useful idiot space. We are over 20-Trillion Dollars in Debt. I don’t care who you are… you cannot conceive the size of 20,000,000,000,000. Your mind is not designed to wrap around such an absurdity. A “balanced budget” is as equally absurd as it is meaningless.

But no matter which side you fall on, keeping you useful requires you lapping up such pabulum.

The only effort that has any meaning is reducing the actual Debt. Not reducing the growth of the debt… or even halting the growth of the debt. The only strategy, which is not idiotic, is faithfully reducing the National Debt. Period. But how useful would you be if you limited, or even better yet rolled back, the ability of politicians and bureaucrats to spiff their Friends, Families and Donors with not just your money, but the money from your Great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandchildren?

So, you will hear them use the words “Deficit” and “Debt” interchangeably as if they are the same thing… and you will find yourself, and those around you, shaking your heads enthusiastically because you, my friend, are a brilliant thinking, not easily fooled, smarter than your friends, useful idiot.

Finally, Keeping You Safe.

Again, no matter where you fall on this the odds are you’re wrong.

Those in power need you to believe it’s their responsibility to “Keep you Safe”.

By doing this they get you to concede every argument in their favor. You abdicate all power to the Government. You are the most useful of all idiots.  Only Veal enjoys such safety.  Are you Veal?  Would you like to be?

I will put this as simply as I can…

It is the Government’s responsibility to keep My Freedom and My Liberty Safe.  (Yours too.)

It is My responsibility to keep Me and My Family Safe.  (Again… goes for you too.)

In other words, I and I alone will decide what kind of car I should drive… if a family vacation to Syria is a good idea… if eating free range, cage free, bran muffins is the secret to good health and fulfills my responsibility to Mother Earth… if my family of 15 needs a One Bedroom House, or a Shoe… if I need to have a gun to defend myself and my family… if I prefer one doctor over another… if I need to read the Bible, Ayn Rand or the Audacity of Hope, every night before bed.

My Freedom and My Liberty require the acceptance of a certain level of Danger… a Danger which I alone must be responsible to defend against.

Government, whether it’s the Police Department, Fire Department, Sheriff, FBI Agent, NSA Agent, Lehman Brothers Lobbyist or the friendly EPA Global Commons Communist, are all SECOND RESPONDERS.

You… you… you… are the only “First Responder” in your life.  Only you are “on the scene” when you need you.

Nothing is without cost!  So buck up and fight for your Freedom and Liberty while providing for your Safety.  Or, join the Society to have Government Treat People like Veal.  I hear they have super-fun meetings.

If you fail to understand the above then you are in need of waking up.

Don’t be an Idiot.  But if you have to be… don’t be a Useful one.

I just Learned Something… at the Benghazi Hearings.

Apparently, at least according to the testimony of Mr. Wehrey, the U.S. Government offers training to Countries like Libya on how to manage a budget.

OK…

This fact presents Two Observations.

Either every Elected Official in Washington D.C. should be required to complete this course, monthly, or Countries like Libya should be seeking Competent Instruction.

Anyway, Back to the Benghazi hearings…

The Establishment Strikes Back!

Or, John Boehner and Paul Ryan Surrender.

A budget deal was reached in the House of Representatives which effectively undoes the progress to reduce spending made with the recent Sequester cuts. It allows the Liberals to spend yet more money we do not have. It concedes the argument that we must reign in spending or our Country is doomed to the running leap over the fiscal cliff we are sprinting towards as this post is being tapped out. It gives more time to collapse the economic system now in place so the Socialists can rebuild it in their image…

There are only two reasons this could have happened.

The Republicans agree with the direction the country is heading.  Because 100% of the Democrat Party and 80% of the Republican Party are Ideologically Identical.

or

The Republicans believe the unwashed masses are too stupid to distrust the Liberals in the press when they predictably paint the Republicans as responsible for everything from your indigestion to government shutdowns.

Most likely Both.

Paul Ryan: “I deal with things as they Are.”  (A truly Visionary statement designed to revolutionize the way Americans look at government and return us to a fiscally responsible path if I ever heard one.  He also states that “As a Conservative, I deal with the situation as it exists.” Pardon me Mr. Ryan but what new definition of “Conservative” says one must deal with the situation as it exists?  That is certainly not an Ideology.  That is certainly not a firm Philosophical Foundation.  So what the Hell are you talking about?  Have you decided to embrace Populism?  Pragmatism?  Social Democracy?  Mob Rule?  Progressivism?  Please stop insulting us.)

John Boehner: “(Those who oppose this deal) are using the American People for their own purposes.  This is ridiculous.”  (What “purposes” might those be Speaker Boehner?  “They” are already siphoning off money from the RNC, correctly so in my opinion, and aside from using your Bipartisan compromise with Leftists as an illustration of your anemic, if not absent, commitment to returning Us to the Shining Light on the Hill  I don’t get your point.)

Folks, if you haven’t started paying attention yet, it’s time.

You all need to start drinking about this stuff.

Making this Shutdown Permanent…

Is a good start. 83% of the Federal Government is still operational.  This may be exactly the beginning we need to save The United States from Bankruptcy.

With the Debt Ceiling Debate looming I’ve begun hearing, yet again, talk about Balanced Budgets.

Folks, we are Way Beyond Balanced Budgets being beneficial.

As we have discussed, It’s the Debt Dummy!

Only Debt reduction will set us on a path to recovery.

Those in Washington will, as usual, attempt to confuse you by using “Debt” and “Deficit” interchangeably.  They are very, very different words.

“Deficit Reduction” means we are still spending MORE than we have to spend… just less than we were spending before.  I know I don’t have to explain this, but it could even be $1 less… and the politicians will be doing victory lap’s as if some great accomplishment has been achieved.  Don’t be fooled, and don’t let them get away with it as usual.

“Debt” means, well… the money we owe everyone else because politicians have found it beneficial to their career’s to spend as much of our money as they can, and are now printing it so they can keep on spending.

I want you to stick your head out the window and scream at the top of your lungs “It’s the Debt Dummy, and we’re not going to take it anymore!”

I know I can count on all of you.

Until the Clock Runs Backwards

…nothing is really being done.

I want to take the opportunity of “the Sequester” to remind all of us that nothing positive is being accomplished until the Debt Clock begins, and continues to, run backwards.

If the Sequester occurs, it is a time for celebration as it would mark the first nod to fiscal sanity.  But it is just a nod… a recognition that we are in deep trouble.  The Sequester would need to be multiplied forty times in order to genuinely begin to address our countries problems.

So raise a beer… but after you finish it immediately get back to work.

Remember, the politicians have an uncanny ability to take a very tiny step forward and take two great leaps backwards.

Don’t start trusting them now…  they’re going to try to keep playing us for fools.

(Don’t forget,  It’s the Debt Dummy!  “Debt” and “Deficit” are two very different words.  Politicians on both sides of the aisle will try to use them interchangeably in order to keep you confused.  In turn this keeps you voting the way they want.  Your only concern should be reducing the Debt.  Reducing the Debt is the only thing that matters, because by doing so the Deficit is necessarily taken care of… it will be gone.  Simply reducing the Deficit only allows for our continued drive forward into the Fiscal Oblivion.  Focusing on the Deficit is meaningless at this point in our history.)

Sequester is just one piece of a 1000 piece puzzle.

An Open Letter from your Congressional Republicans:

Dear Mr. President,

We’re ready to help you fix your Sequester Budget plan.

And, since you have already received your desired tax increases of which all Americans are experiencing right now we would be willing to aid you in figuring out how to reduce spending in a better, and more balanced, way than your current proposal dictates.

If you have any ideas we will gladly listen to them because we recognize how poorly thought out your Sequester plan was. We also recognize, as we are sure you do, that our country is being crushed by a rapidly growing 16-Trillion Dollar Debt created by out-of-control spending.  We know that both parties have participated in this Debt which is why we agree with you that both parties must take part in reducing it quickly before it destroys our Country along with the American Dream.

Considering the Urgency of addressing this Unprecedented Emergency we understand the Necessity of not delaying immediate action.  Because if not Now, When?  If not Us, Who?

Trust us, we recognize how difficult it can be dealing with those in your own party.  You point this out to us regularly.  That’s why we wanted to send you this open letter to publicly show our unified support.  We hope it helps you rally your party members to embrace solutions during your time of need.  Please beg your fellow Democrats for Bipartisanship, if for no other reason than the future of women, our children and minorities.

We are with you Mr. President!

All of us have cell phones and promise to answer.  So call us may be.

Things I Want to Take Back

All too often I say things that I wish I had not. I do things I wish I had not. I think things I wish I had not.

This is not what this post is about.  Because a post like that would be far, far too long.

What this is about is my desire… my demand… that we take back that which has been stolen from us. Some of these things are small. Some of these things are big. But all of them represent our seeming willingness to allow others to determine what we think and how we view the world. We have abdicated our thinking to others. We have given up our control over ourselves and in doing so we have allowed those who oppose us to abscond with our symbols and definitions… our identity and reality.  We have made them powerful indeed.

I will no longer tolerate a bunch of frustrated Monarchists who because of their disenfranchisement have chosen to foist upon the proletariat a political model designed to foment class stasis and keep themselves in power co-opting that which has meaning.

Following is a list of that which I expect to be returned.

The Color Blue.

The fact that we have allowed the old Main Stream Media to decide what color best represents what party is ridiculous.  Red has historically been the color of Socialists.  It should remain so… that is if they want to be honest.  Frankly, I don’t care what they want.  I want Blue back as it is the color of Valor.  I propose those constitutional conservatives and libertarians that see what the media is trying to do by continuing to confuse the public simple begin wearing nothing but blue ties, dresses, scarves etc.  They’re not going to give it back… so it must be taken.  Let McCain wear Red… seems appropriate.

The Name “Liberal”.

Somewhere in the sixties the Leftists began reading Alinsky.  They saw the wisdom of co-opting the oppositions symbols and labels in hopes of confusing the masses.  Confused Masses are Useful.  Enough is enough.  It’s time to apply the correct definitions to words and reclaim the labels that are rightly ours.  A Liberal is one who promotes Liberty… not a proponent of oppressive Socialist governing theory designed to solidify class stasis and mass slavery to the State.  So it’s time to remove it from their many names.

The Victory Sign.

I’ve had enough of the “Iconic” picture of Winston Churchill flashing the Victory sign and being told it’s a “peace” sign.  It is not.  It is a “Give War a Chance, Peace through Victory” sign.  The sign is a “V” for Victory.  Period.

Logic.

The voters in this country need a never-ending dose of Logic.  Critical thinking is absent from the electoral process.  Few can describe the difference between Causation and Correlation.  We desperately need to replace, retake and reaffirm what “logic” actually is.  Logic is not about “feeling” your way through life.  Reality does not care how you FEEL about it.  Truth is not relative any more than 2+2=4 is relative.

Public Schools.

An appropriate follow-up to the need to take back “Logic” is where logic is supposed to be taught.  I want back our Schools/Colleges/Universities.  Exactly because everything but Logic is taught.  It’s not beneficial to the Left… and certainly not the Teachers Union and Professors that think their well being relies on feeding the Progressive Communist ranks with the newly indoctrinated.

The Constitution of the United States.

Given the effort expended on the Left to demean, discredit, and ultimately dispose of the U.S. Constitution nothing could be more important that taking it back from those who hate it.  The reason they hate it is it is the largest obstacle they have blocking their way to their Social Utopian Dream.  I’m not interested in their dream…

The expression “Equal Rights”.

I believe in Equal Rights.  It’s that simple.  I believe in EQUAL rights which are inherent to every INDIVIDUAL.  The Left has hijacked the term and is trying to convince you that it means “Special Rights” for certain groups of people… groups defined by them in order to bolster, through leverage, their ability to seize control over this countries government.

The expression “Pro-Choice”.

I believe in “Pro-Choice”… for all things.  The Left loves “Pro-Choice” so long as it is limited to what they approve of.  Who are they to decide what choices I should have?  And, isn’t that the crux of the disagreement between the Socialists and the rest of us?

The definition of Capitalism.

When the Pope is espousing diatribes in opposition to Capitalism it is clear the definition has been lost.  The Left has made every effort to not allow Capitalism to be taught in schools.  If pressed, those in charge of explaining the governing theory of Free-Markets and Voluntary Trade instead substitute Fascism (A variant of Socialism) in its place.  And, because we are all products of public schools we sit idly by and allow it to happen… because we don’t know either.

The Press.

I’m not sure we ever had this institution.  However, the only thing that will provide for truth is fractionalization of the press. The press has far too long enjoyed control be means of a limited number of outlets.  One of the first areas (as Lenin advised must happen) to be taken over by Leftists was the Journalism Schools throughout the higher education system.  Subsequently, over time these “properly” educated graduates took over the institutions deciding what news was fit to print.  and view… and hear…  This has changed is a very small way and we must promote more massive change.  It does not means taking down the “old” outlets, nor expecting them to change.  What it means is supporting those outlets which we find to be most truthful… objectively… by applying critical thinking and reason.  If you’re a Progressive Socialist then MSNBC might be the place you most identify with.  The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

The idea that Sen. McCarthy was wrong.

Sen. McCarthy was a Bully… he was an A-Hole… he might have even been possessed by the Devil himself… but he was right.  Hollywood is and has been a bastion for Socialist Progressives.  Communism/Socialism/Progressivism/Liberalism is all the same crappy Leftist Ideology.  And it all stands in direct opposition to Free-Market Capitalism and the Democratic Republic the U.S. Constitution stands for and the Individual Freedom It protects.  There are many people in Hollywood overtly trying to destroy the very system they profit from and dismantle that which provide the Freedom they enjoy.  While Stunningly Stupid, they’re Actors…so…  Anyway, The list of specific Hollywood Leftists is so long as to prohibit it in this key pounding post.

The idea that the Iraq war ended and Bush put us back in there.

The Left LOVES war when it’s their guys conducting it.  They also LOVE the idea that they are the party of “peace”.  I know… but Leftists have never let a contradiction get in their way.  If they did they would have to come up with a whole new political philosophy.  But the lie that Clinton “ended” the Iraq war is so egregious that it hurts my head.  Folks… the Iraq war started under George Bush and is still going on as I type this.  We did not “get out of Iraq” under Clinton.  We were actively shooting down airplanes, blowing up radar stations and destroying Embassies under Bill Clinton.  We had “boots on the ground” doing all sorts of things from calling in artillery and spotting for Tomahawks to every other kind of forward reconnaissance.  We were killing people… in Iraq… under Bill Clinton… the whole time.  So how is it “we” have forgotten this?  How is it “we” think the war ended and was “re-started” under GW?  If you’re not thinking “Holy Crap the media is powerful!” then you’re not paying attention.  And judging by many of your stated opinions… you’re not.

Finally, The Fiscal Cliff.

The Left and their “language experts” believe they have won a significant battle by assigning the term “fiscal cliff” to the spending negotiations over the 2012/2013 holiday season.  They think they have effectively retired this phrase… and they’re very happy about it exactly because it was accurate and easily understood.  I want it back… primarily because we did nothing to avert our headlong course to fly off the Fiscal Cliff.  Nothing.  We are actively, energetically and enthusiastically spending our nation into fiscal oblivion.  Our demise is imminent if nothing is done.  And if we are anything, we are professionals at doing nothing.  The Fiscal Cliff is alive and well, and looms large for all those willing to stare straight ahead.

I Had a Dream…

And since I already subscribe to judging others by the content of their character let’s move to something else.

As I drifted off to sleep last night I was thinking about President Obama’s press conference…

With not a dry eye in the press corpse, it went something like this;

Surrounded by children the President began reading their letters…

“It’s supposedly a free country but I recommend there needs to be a limit on spending… Please don’t let politicians waste our money or other people’s money like they do.” Jack L.

The next letter continued with the same tone…

“I am writing to ask you to STOP wasting our money… I am very sad about the children who lost their futures.  So, I thought I would write to you to STOP spending their money before they’ve even earned it.  And STOP borrowing money just to spend it on stupid stuff.”  Lisa W.

After a brief pause the President commented somberly, “These are some pretty smart letters from some pretty smart young people, so what we should be thinking about, is our responsibility to care for them, and shield them from harm, and give them the tools they need to grow up, and do everything that they’re capable of doing.  Not just pursue their own dreams, but to help build this country.  This is our first task as a society, keeping our children safe.  This is how we will be judged.  And their voices should compel us to change.”

Finally the President concluded with a letter from Julio…

Julio had written that he had 15 brothers and sisters and “I know I would not be able to bear the thought of supporting any of them.  I know spending laws have to be passed by Congress, the House and the Senate, but I beg you to try very hard to make sure they have a free market economy where they can support themselves.  Not just for me, but for the whole United States.”  Julio signed the letter “my love and regrets.”

President Obama responded.  “Julio, I will try very hard.”

The children then began running around yelling “Liar, Liar…” and something about the Presidents pants being on fire…

Then I woke up.
