Why I happen to Agree with Rand Paul’s Foreign Policy…

I subscribe to the idea that when you hand someone BILLIONS of American Taxpayer’s dollars they should be OVERTLY on board with whatever it is America Wants… and that’s before the BIG WET SLOPPY KISS they should be giving all of us ON THE NATIONAL STAGE.

I too happen to believe that those countries who Beg for our money should also get on board with the Supremacy of the Individual over the Group… in others words, American Exceptionalism. They should not only speak highly of us, but we should expect them to reform, change, modify or whatever you want to call it, their behavior when it comes to their individual citizens.

This applies to ALL forms of assistance as far as I’m concerned.  Military… Food… Financial… Technological…

No more accepting our Billion’s in hand-outs then running to the microphone and screaming “Death to America”.  No more taking our money and then using it to dig tunnels into Israel… or buying stones to throw at your women… or duct tape to strap gays in a chair so you can throw them from a rooftop… or spending it on subversive marxist campaigns on college campus’ inside the U.S… etc… etc…

Enough is Enough.

You want our Sugar… Get on Board.

Here’s the Rub…

When we have abandoned that which made us Exceptional, namely our Enlightened approach to government which placed the Individual First, we have no moral high ground upon which to stand.

We must change things here at home before we can reclaim the lofty position of Leader of the Free World.  Because right now we are indeed just another Democratic Socialist Nation among many…

And, there is absolutely nothing exceptional about that except being absolutely horrible.

So there you go.

It’s not “Isolationist”… It’s “Anti-A-holist”.

On this subject Rand is Right. Cruz is Close and Rubio is… well… Rubio.

Why the “Republicans” can No Longer run on Limited Government

A New Gallup poll has American’s seeing Big Government as the greatest threat to the United States.

To the tune of 72%!

This is very bad news for the majority of the Republican Party.

It has long been the tradition of Republican Candidates to run on Limited Government.  This is typically paired with a promise to necessarily reduce it’s size as well.

In fact, many a Republican has won elected office using just such rhetoric.

Well… times are changing, and this news from Gallup cannot be helpful.

I probably don’t need to remind any of you that there is a new, small, vocal and active group of representatives who reside in Washington hailing from the Taxed Enough Already wing of the Republicans.  And here lies the problem.

The Establishment Republicans, or RINO’s, enjoy a large majority of membership within the party as it’s currently made up.  And, by being the heavy majority they control all things Republican, which has enabled them to shut out that “bothersome” minority of representatives that not only believe Big Government must be reduced in size and scope but act on that belief.  (For those of you who follow along, that would be the Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Trey Dowdy types.)

Well, with 72% of the population seeing the Leviathan as the single biggest problem we face as a Nation… the Republican Candidates who run on such rhetoric might be expected to perform on their promises!  Combine that with an already present TEA party minority who have been in the district long enough to know their way around, it spells trouble with a “T”.  The Horror!

This poll cannot make the John McCain wing of the Republican Party happy at all.   I can feel the urgent closed-door meetings being called as I type this.  Will they all switch parties?  Will they come up with a new message for this election cycle like “Hey… Government isn’t all bad.  We’re not watching absolutely EVERYTHING you do.”?  Or may be “Obama Care… we oppose it, but there’s nothing we can do!”.

Stay tuned!

This will end up being a very interesting mid-term election.

“My Credibility Is Not On The Line.”

“The World’s Credibility Is On The Line.” – Barack Obama 9/4/13 In reference to his “Red Line” comments made earlier this year and repeated, for the record, on the White House website.

The President should be given a break here.

Mr. Obama was simply doing the work of the world. Someone has to speak for the rest of the Nations, and he was only doing his part to communicate what he knows the Global Community wants to say. In other words, he’s doing the heavy lifting… the job Global Citizens will not do…

This addresses something I noticed during Obama’s first State of the Union Speech.

We have a little game we play during State of the Union Speeches… you draw words, and if they are used you drink.  I like to keep my Drinking games simple, it helps once you’re about an hour into them.

The words I drew were “I, Me and My”

I believed I had won the lottery because Presidents avoid such words.  Typically, they understand they are simply the Representative chosen to head the Executive Branch of Government.  It is always “Our, We, Together” etc.  As it should be.

However, It was not a win…

In fact, It was a painful evening… and I’m a professional.

That episode aside, it illustrates a mentality.  It demonstrates a certain level of Narcissism, or Ego, that can lead an individual into mistakes such as the current Syria debacle.

The above Elitist approach to governing can result in avoidable loss of life such as the events surrounding Fast and Furious, Benghazi etc.

Such a view of one’s self can allow an individual to turn a blind eye to the destruction of the Privacy of Others, as in the case of the NSA Domestic Spying Programs, or direct government intimidation and oppression as represented by IRS Targeting, Militarization of Local Police, TSA and DHS tactics.

While the President is just one person, it starts at the top.  Are Leaders tend to surround themselves with people who view the world in the same way.  (A noted exception was Mr. Bush’s appointment of Colin Powell.  But, if you recall, Bush was criticized for not following the advice of Powell.  The media demonized a Leader who strayed from surrounding himself with those he would disagree with.  I’m not a Bush “fan”, it’s just an interesting observation.  Make of it what you will.)

Elitists surround themselves with sycophants and then Demonize those that challenge the way they see themselves.  This results in appointments like John Kerry, allies like John McCain and attitudes exhibited by Nansi Pelosi and Harry Reid.  It also explains the destructive rhetoric leveled at men like Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, TEA Party Conservatives and Libertarians.  (For those of you out there that disagree with me here, please give an honest moment of thought regarding what these individuals and groups stand for.  You can find it easily with your googler.  Go directly to their sites… read their words verbatim… don’t allow someone else to tell you what they said or what they think.  It has been my experience that Evil does not view itself as such and will speak freely.  It Evil is there you’ll find it for yourself, in their own words without the careful editing, comedic or otherwise, from the opposition.)

With a little reflection one can pick out those Presidents, Senators and Congressmen (Our Representatives) that view themselves in this way.

Once you’ve decided you’re smarter than everyone else… it’s easy to then to decide you speak for the world.

So in his mind, why would his credibility be on the line?
