Odds are when you were in Public School you were not taught the definition of this very important word.

So here we go:

Not subject to sale or transfer; inseparable.

That which is inalienable cannot be bought, sold, or transferred from one individual to another. The personal rights to life and liberty guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States are inalienable. Similarly, various types of property are inalienable, such as rivers, streams, and highways.

I beg your pardon Justice Stevens, only as I’m polite, but the Second Amendment which is actually the Second Inalienable Right as listed in the Bill of Rights cannot be “Repealed”.  The only reason it appears as an Amendment to the Constitution is for recording purposes.  As you should know, Sir, there was a vociferous debate regarding the placement of them as Amendments rather than leaving them as a stand alone document for the very reason we are dealing with such idiocy today.  Many of the Founding Fathers knew that the remaining Monarchists (about 30% of the population), most of whom had surrendered to the inevitable and thrown in with the ‘Federalists’, would continue to try to position these Inalienable Rights as Amendable by Man.  The idea of one’s right being given to them by other men is the tenent of Monarchy as it is the foundation of Socialism/Communism.  Without one man being able to force another man to do what he wants there would be no governing paradigm resembling the above.  It is always about force, Mr. Stevens.  Our Freedom rests on being able to resist it.

This is exactly why Free Speech and an Armed Populace is integral to a Free Society.

The Bill of Rights was debated down to its simplest form so Every Man could understand it, rich and Poor alike.  Simple, Powerful and Direct.  The Bill of Rights is the Maxim for Human Freedom.

It has been proven over and over throughout history and continues to be illustrated around the World.

The absence of an armed population, given enough time, always ends in Tyranny.  We do not need to repeat the errors of the past which has demonstrably resulted in Oppression, Death and Destruction of Human life.

We should be past that here in the United States.

But, Mr. Stevens, thank you for your input.  It’s important for us to remember that people like you still exist… and always will.  It’s also important for all of us to recognize that such an oppressive mindset can rise to the highest levels of our government.  We need to be vigilant and more careful.

Deterrence

Deterrence:

the act or process of deterring: such as

a : the inhibition of criminal behavior by fear especially of punishment

b : the maintenance of military power for the purpose of discouraging attack

This is Why the 2nd Amendment, the Inalienable Right to Bear Arms, is integral to your Freedom.  The 2nd Amendment is simply a recognition of a Right every Human possesses.

Inalienable:

incapable of being alienated, surrendered, or transferred

It cannot be taken away, or surrendered by any man.

You have these rights.  Those in charge can pretend to take them away, and continue to try to convince you they can, but they are yours and will always be so.

The Founding Fathers understood this and made sure to put them in a place everyone would see them.

But Why?

Were they Gun Nuts?  Did they Hate Kids?  Were they just a bunch of Idiots?

Let’s think this through…

Simply put, The Inalienable Right to Defend yourself Deters all manner of bad behavior.

The Right to Bear Arms deters; criminals from breaking into your home, criminals from robbing you on the street, criminals for confiscating your home, criminals from hurting your family, criminals from enslaving you, criminals from oppressing you in every way imaginable.

The ‘compromise’ we have made with those who wish to wield power over us via physical or legal thuggery is deterrence… not prevention.  This is because we recognize there must be certain agreements in place to make sure we don’t inadvertently physically infringe on our neighbors individual rights.  We call this Government.  But our form of Government is designed to be very, very, slow.  Our form of Government is designed to promote the solution to our disagreements be found locally and personally by intentionally being slow to respond.  It is also designed to recognize our right to defend that which is ours beginning with our lives, our bodies and our property.  But most importantly, it is designed to give Individuals every opportunity to resist it.

The tacit acknowledgement of consequences, should enough of us choose to resist our Government, is the only thing standing in the way of our returning to historically ugly types of Rule such as the rest of the world still suffer today.

In the United States bad people, such as racists, thieves or politicians, must think hard before infringing on your Inalienable Right to Live Free.

But it doesn’t mean they won’t try.

That’s the Beauty, the Brilliance…

One doesn’t even have to possess a weapon.  The idea that someone around you might be armed is often enough to discourage, or deter, a Bad Actor from Acting Badly.

All of us must start by understanding that the 2nd Right in the Bill of Rights is not only responsible for the very Freedom you enjoy as you read this but assists in protecting it from this point forward.  Those who pine for power and want to Force you to do what they think is right without Argument or Recourse wish nothing more than to remove that Right, that Obstacle to their control, from you any way they can.

It’s that simple.

Sadly, our publicly educated Masses have been indoctrinated in Socialism, a sinister governing theory crafted by the 19th Century’s disenfranchised aristocrats, which promises equality with a deadly wink and a nod.  Most of us do not consider ourselves Communists/Socialists and if we do its most often because our educators have intentionally hidden the history of this poisonous idea from us.  We have been brought up being taught to believe those in positions of power are magically no longer human… Somehow our Politicians, Teachers and Law Enforcement Officers are not fallible, not self-interested, not ignorant or ill educated in any way.  We have been programmed to see them as beyond reproach and existing only for the well-being of others.  We have been taught that because of this we should obey them without question.  We have been convinced that we humans have somehow evolved to a more enlightened existence… even when presented with contrary evidence every waking moment of our lives.

In other words, too many of us have been Fooled, and because of that we are now being employed as Useful Idiots.

It is up to the Few of us left who understand what The United States means to the World to educate our friends and neighbors about American Exceptionalism and why we are the Brightest Beacon of Light for the Global Oppressed.  We have to explain the reasons so many of those outside of this great nation founded During the Age of Reason often sacrifice everything to live out their lives here.  We have to shout out loud why so many wish to escape to The United States of America…  And we must resolutely explain why any effort to reverse our unique course and return to the Oppression, Death, Destruction and Slavery of Mankind which is currently called Socialism must be resisted at every turn.

It is incumbent upon us to communicate how our Bill of Rights in its entirety makes us Great as it accommodates the permanent state of Human imperfection.

We should ask our friends to look around… and have them ask; “Why does no other Country on Earth Dare to recognize the Individual Human Right to such Freedom?”

The answer is historically obvious.  Those in power are fully aware that such and acknowledgement would drastically and permanently diminished that power.  Those in Control always wish to Remain in Control.  Our recognition of our Inalienable Rights by enshrining them in the First 10 Amendments of our Founding Documents was expressly designed to deter such behavior.

We’re Exceptional exactly because we have broken with Man’s long History of Oppression and Slavery.  We have broken with the Reign of Kings, Divine Right to Rule and Holy Blood Lines.  We have defied thousands of years and thousands of previous governing theories to create a miracle.

It is clear and easy to understand, unless you intentionally choose not to.

In the end…

You can no more ban individual’s weapons than you can ban individual’s speech because both are essential ingredients in the Worlds only recipe for Individual Freedom.

At this time we are seeing both being threatened.

Gun Control Now!

After decades I’ve had a change of mind….

I have suddenly found myself on the side of those crying for Gun Control.

It is clear we need it.

In fact, it is clear the world needs it.

I have a proposal that would have saved 100’s of millions of humans lives in the past and, without question, hundreds of millions in the future.

Since it is demonstrably clear that if Liberals ban guns only Liberals will have guns…
Ban all those individuals and groups whose ideology resides within the spectrum of Socialism/Liberalism/Mentally Insane.
That’s it.  I know, I know… seems too simple.  But most often the simplest answer is the “safest” answer.

So, the groups of persons forbidden to own firearms include but may not be limited to (as the Left often change their names due to the rest of us figuring out who they are…) Marxists, Fascists, Statists, Leftists, Socialists, Social Democrats, Democrat Socialists, Liberals (The U.S. definition), Neo-Nazi’s, Progressives, Democrats, Neo-Marxists, Anarchists, Monarchists, Theocrats, Eco-Terrorists, Oligarchs, Authoritarians, Totalitarians, Communists, Nihilists, National Socialists and of course National Democratic Socialists…. oh, and any Union Leaders or Community Organizers.

As far as determining who fits into these groups we can develop an easy to fill out psych profile administered by any gun dealer at their discretion.  If it comes back positive for the above mentioned groups ideology then the person should be refused a weapon of any kind.  In fact, the pen in their hand should be immediately removed from their possession as well as their belt and shoe laces.  Then their name should be passed around by the shop owner to every other gun shop within a 3500 mile radius.

While this would certainly not stop gun violence it would be a good start.  And, considering those committing the crimes, it would stem the tide of mass shootings while preserving our ability to protect ourselves from tyrannical government these people directly and indirectly promote should the need ever arise.  Perfect… Crazies don’t get guns and the Second Amendment remains intact for the brave who might actually defend the land of the free…

Then we can all drink a little easier.

What is it with Liberals and Guns?

According to his roommate, Aaron was a Liberal.

So we are yet again faced with a mass shooting performed by a person who identified as a Liberal.

Would someone please notify the FBI so they can update their profile?

I might be gaining a better understanding of why Liberals want to ban guns so badly… they can’t trust themselves with them.

Let Me make sure I Understand this…

Taking it for Granted

So there I was… sitting at my kitchen table having a glass of wine with friends.
We found ourselves talking about a recent news story about a young man who shot his entire family.

After everyone agreeing that it was a tragedy I shifted gears and asked why anyone would need to “spin” such a story… or modify it since plainly told it was horrific?

The context was that this event was held by the press as a reason to Ban “Assault Weapons”.

What I pointed out was that the weapon used by the individual was a .22 rifle. A rifle that is not included in any currently proposed ban. But more importantly, a rifle that is still left out of any discussion of the murders. In fact, had I not been a curious person I would have been left with the impression that an AR-15 was used to kill this boy’s family. The truth is, the family owned an AR-15 but it was not used. Of course that does not fit the narrative of “Assault Weapons” being evil.

My simple assertion was that the fact the rifle used was a .22 and not an AR-15 was intentional.

This is when I was hit by a simple question.  “Why do you think that is?”

I found myself speechless.

I realized that I take the media’s lack of historical perspective and deficit understanding of what this country was founded upon combined with their Leftist philosophy as a simple matter of fact.  I take it for granted.

I couldn’t believe that my friend didn’t find this common knowledge.  At first I thought she must be joking.  But then I quickly understood this to be an honest question.

While she views much of the world as I do, she enjoys listening to NPR and believes this “keeps her balanced”.  I would agree, that balance can be achieved by listening to as much as possible, but absent a strong understanding of governing theory one can easily get lost.  In other words, keeping your mind so “open” that your brains drip out your ears.

So I tried to explain that the Left controls the Media.  There are exceptions, but they are few and a consistent effort to marginalize those exceptions is well-funded and energetic.

I started with my personal experience in College and the exchanges with “Journalism” students and professors who were not at all interested in reporting facts, but “changing the world”.  These individuals were, without exception Socialists.  Being a Russian Studies Major made this observation less than difficult.  Of course, They would not have described themselves that way… but their actions and philosophies were demonstrable regardless of the label they chose to anoint themselves with.

In the end I was not satisfied with my argument offered to her which is why I’m writing this post.  I needed to include hard evidence to start the process of understanding… gleaned directly from those “objective” folks in the media who profess the super-human powers required to bring us facts sans any personal bias.

So here goes:

“Msnbc.com identified 143 journalists who made political contributions from 2004 through the start of the 2008 campaign, according to the public records of the Federal Election Commission. Most of the newsroom checkbooks leaned to the left: 125 journalists gave to Democrats and liberal causes. Only 16 gave to Republicans. Two gave to both parties.”

“You’ll never guess what he says he found — 235 journalists donating to Democrats while only 20 gave to Republicans for a total of $225,563 to Democrats and $16,298 to the the GOP-inclined.”

Can’t believe your favorite Media Personality could be a Leftist?  Can’t discern their bias simply by what they say and how they position the “news”?

Look them up…

Truth is often cold… and more pleasant when unknown.

I should know better than to take for granted others know what I have long understood.  Pleasant or not, I must remember to repeat that which I assume to be known by all.

Then I must demand the person I’m speaking with not trust me, and verify for themsleves what I’m saying.

Why? Because that’s how we learn… and frankly,

I don’t even trust me.

Want to Save Lives? Sell Machine Guns.

If you really want to save lives, you should support the open sale of machine guns without any caveats.

If you have ever learned to fire one of these you quickly find out that in the hands of the inspired but uninstructed they are one of the most useless weapons ever created.

And the benefit is… This type of weapon would most often attract those who are specifically NOT instructed.

The inability of the typical user to support, operate, let alone maintain, such a firearm with any effectiveness would most definitely save lives.

Essentially we would be “de-lethalizing” those who might most concern us.

(I look forward to your “rebuttal’s”, but you should be ready to defend them with substance.  For those of you who are familiar with the history behind the Machine Gun Act will be best equipped… but I’m ready for you too.  Should be fun.)
