So why does the Left, Progressive, Democrat, Liberal Socialist hate Capitalism so very, very, much? (I don’t like having to use so many terms, but every time we figure out who these people are they change their name.)
They Hate Capitalism because it does not need them.
I’ve written about this is the past. Capitalism is the Default State of Economics. Capitalism appears in the hardest of Communist experiments. Mutually Beneficial Exchange bubbles up under the most horrific regimes. There is always a War to stop it… but Voluntary Free-Trade cannot be stopped… ever.
This fact, that Free-Trade does not need Socialist guidance, makes them feel small in the Universe. It is a cold illustration of their value… and when you have an Ego that demands your “intelligence” be recognized, this is indeed a painful insult to suffer.
So, the self-proclaimed “Elites” among us have created, perpetuated, clung to, a governing theory that makes them feel good regardless of the historically demonstrable destruction left in it’s wake.
They have ignored, rewritten, re-phrased and changed the meaning of everything to protect the only system that permanently puts them in charge of everybody else. I will remind you that this mindset is found across party lines… once you understand the definition of Socialism and it’s variants, spotting it is simple and you will no longer be fooled by “Democrat”, “Republican”, etc.
The reason I bring this up is that the election is upon us. And if you think the Liberals will go quietly into the night you will be gravely disappointed. There will be a screaming and gnashing of teeth rarely seen. The Socialists have achieved almost all of what they have been working on for the last 100 years. They will do anything and everything in order to preserve those gains. The accusations will be loud, vile and repeated often not just by them but by their friends in the press. All efforts to return the United States to a path of fiscal solvency and Free-Market principles will be met with claims of destruction, disease and death. Should they lose their power… They will push, beg, plead, for “Bipartisanship”, “Cooperation” and “Compromise” to hold on to their gains and maintain status quo until they can wrest control of the government again. And we have seen what happens when they have that control…
This is far from over, so don’t think you can just cast your vote and walk away. If we are going to be the country the rest of the world looks up to, there will need to be a level of perseverance never before required of the electorate. You will have to hold those you voted for accountable for the principles they espoused. You will have to have a solid foundation to repel the arguments flung at you from the Left. The Liberals will be desperate… and ruthless. All the while accusing you of being both.
So it’s time for the Capitalists to move Forward!
Roll back the policies of the Past! Save the Country from Bankruptcy! Restore Individual Freedom!
We all know Free-Market Capitalism is the wave of the future. It’s been 100 years… let’s give it a try again. It will be painful, particularly for those who have built empires on Socialist policies. It will also hurt the feelings of those who think they know better for you than you do. But I can live with that. Let’s bruise some Ego’s. Even the Leftists will be better off for it.

I think anyone who is unquestionably “socialist” needs to have a couple of unemployed teenagers move in with them. That’ll teach ’em.

Socialists are indeed hostile towards Free-Market Capitalism. I stated this clearly in the post you linked to inside the above quote. I do not make the argument, as Hicks implies, that the ‘left – right spectrum’ has any validity. It does not. The Left-Right spectrum serves only to confuse, as does Hicks article, the minds of those attempting to build a solid foundation with which to base their political and economic assessments. (As a note: The idea that Free-Market Capitalism requires a Moral Compass is where most ‘Conservative’ fall from grace. They fail to understand that they alone are the Compass which guides their actions, just as each one of us guides our own.) I hope your readers take the time to view the linked post and think about what is being said.
Cheers – Mike

I appreciate the link to your post. It’s a good post indeed… however I’m reasonably sure I do not imply that Capitalists are ‘on the right’ as I see the Left-Right spectrum fatally flawed. You are either a Capitalist… or you are not. And, as you point out, Far too many ‘on the right’ are not Capitalists… they reside somewhere in the soda machine of Socialism. Simply Flavors of what amounts to be the same thing.
But again… thanks for the read and link.
Cheers, Mike.

I’ve been looking into why Liberals, Dems, whatever… and Conservatives, Repubs, whatever… seem to be at such odds, hate each other so much, and spend more times screaming at each other, than actually “fixing” the problems that are supposedly so important that we not ignore.
Ask a Conservative or a staunch Republican, and they’ll say that the liberal democrats are just lazy people who want to beg on their knees, beholden to their lord and master (ie government). Ask a Liberal or Leftist Democrat, and they’ll say it’s that the other side is selfish and greedy. You ask anyone who’s on the fence, or have beliefs and agree with things from both sides of the fence, and you get folks who can’t understand why we cannot just find some middle ground and work together to form compromises.
As for me, I am a registered libertarian, and I view my standing as a socially liberal, fiscally conservative person. I have many friends on both sides of the fence, and I have seen the best and worst on both sides of the party lines. I truly wish school would teach the 100% truth, and not just the truth as they see fit. Public schools are just a bastion for corruption and brainwashing these days. We teach our citizens from a very young age to “do as I say, not as I do” and to “believe what I tell you is truth, you do not have to work or look into it any further, and discourage independent, and critical thinking.”
The author of this article is talking about TRUE Capitalism, and I believe those of you who are “bashing” him, are thinking he’s talking about “Crony Capitalism.” True Capitalism, benefits everyone, as new ideas flourish, and huge leaps and bounds are made in the way of technological and other advancements. Without a Free-Market, there is NO incentive for anyone to ever make or produce anything better than the status quo. There is a difference folks, and I encourage you to do the research for yourselves, before making up your mind, and taking sides!

“Crony Capitalism” is simply Fascism as I mention. Those who understand and subscribe to the two primary Ideologies will never get along as they are mutually exclusive. Finding those people who know What they believe in and Why is the challenge. You might be interested in my posts ‘Crony Baloney’ and ‘Bipartisanshitt’ for further reading. And to continue your thought in the last paragraph, without property rights there can be NO Free-Market. Cheers, Mike.

They’re both just as destructive… and stupid.
Capitalism is stupid for many reasons, but the main one is that it lends corporations and businesses an actual bureaucracy. It turns business-owners into law-makers, which is just hysterical IMO, especially considering the majority of the “capitalist class” are a bunch of lazy knuckle-dragging megalomaniacs — much like you!
Socialism is stupid because… well, you already pointed that out. I just wanted to tell you why and how you are dumb for believing what you believe.

You’re a f*#king moron. You say, “liberals are socialists” and think the anti to that is capitalism? You have little to zero understanding of the terms you used in this article. There are plenty of, leftist, liberal, democrats who are also capitalists. The fact that you don’t differentiate between your terms shows just how little you understand what you are talking about. Oh, and by the way, You lost the election.

I have “lost” many elections… most of them in fact.
While my credentials are not of question to me… they have been on display throughout my posts and are available for all to see.
I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you are searching for meaning. (Also one of the best books ever written. – Man’s Search for Meaning by Frankl.)
If so, I will offer you a hint… Capitalism and Socialism are mutually exclusive governing theories.
Good Luck in your quest!

You are wrong we all lost when Obama was elected into office. #1 because he does everything under secrecy instead of open with the American people. He is extremely progressive and what makes me the maddest is preaches for us to things that he doesn’t feel that he or his cabinet would be willing to do without a fight.
