I’ve written previously regarding the language of the Left.
Many of us realize the battle to control the language is fought in order to control the argument.
An easy example of this is the use of the words “Ask”, “Rich” and “Fair Share”.
When you hear a Progressive make the statement “I don’t think it is unreasonable to ask the rich to pay their fair share…” What is really being said is “I don’t think it is unreasonable to FORCE THOSE DETERMINED BY ME to pay AN AMOUNT I DECIDE ON.”
Of course I find this reprehensible as it necessarily requires one individual to have the power of force over other individuals. Not just to make them pay something… but to decide what and how much they will be forced to pay. There is incredible power in being “The Decider”.
Anyway… the latest example of this strange language is “Social Welfare” in regard to tax exempt status.
The press is repeating the term “Social Welfare” ad nauseum when talking about the latest in IRS malfeasance.
The Left owns the term… and they have used it to remove The Individual from the argument of governing theory.
In other words, “Social Welfare” as the Progressives define it does not mean the preservation of Individual Liberty and Freedom. What they define it as is “Communal Welfare”.
Of course the Liberals will never use the word “Communal” as it leads people to “Communist”, and they have spent decades trying to separate “Socialism” from “Communism” in the minds of those same people… Not educate mind you, as that would illuminate the differences without distinction… just the idea that they are completely different. They know the people are “not ready” for a serious discussion regarding Communism… but Socialism is met with less push back in the focus groups. (Socialism sounds so nice… to those who know nothing about it.)
So the debate, as offered from the Left, is that groups “not supporting Social Welfare” should not be allowed tax exempt status… and since they do not consider the preservation of Individual Rights a part of promoting “Social Welfare” then the groups targeted by the IRS had it coming.
Yes, I know this seems to be a subtle argument and will most likely be met with an accusation of paranoia by those who know it to be true and whose ideology benefits from such subtleties.
But I have been involved in “modifying” language for years, for exactly the same purposes as those doing it now… different reasons, but the same methods. I know this to be true.
And once you see it you can’t “un-see” it.
Listen Carefully. Watch Closely. Think Relentlessly.

It is said that “fish rot from the head down.” President Obama is now the biggest of all the national rotting fish. As he and “his” presidency rot, the stench and the rot spiral downward; “his” multiple federal departments and agencies are rotting along with him. As they do, their stench also spirals downward while further polluting our political and social atmosphere. That probably does not cause “the catastrophic horrors” of man-caused
global warmingclimate change, but it does produce substantial chilling of our political freedom and discourse.Shouldn’t President Obama “simply” do the “only fair,” “just,” “reasonable,” “equitable” and plainly “common sense” thing by resigning “his” presidency and taking voluntary exile in Kenya, Somalia or some other place better suited to his governance? Shouldn’t he “ask” some of his colleagues to accompany him? Doing so would promote the “social welfare” in our far more populous nation (to be “perfectly clear,” and “make no mistake about it,” I refer to the United States). Considering the situations in Kenya and Somalia, that might also promote the “social welfare” there.
