Obama RAGES over Gun Deal Collapse!

…reads the headline at Breitbart.

Full story here: www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/04/17/Obama-graves-Sandy-Hook-press-conference

I included this because I feel sorry for Barack.

The Universe is just not smiling on his best laid plans and political circuses.

As the story states, the President knew all along that he would not have enough votes to pass the Hopped Up Gun Control Bill.  He also thought he would have our undivided attention with which to shame all of us for supporting the Second Amendment which protects the First.

Whoops.

Things are really, really, really not going as Planned…

Reporting on The Marathon Bombing and CNN’s errant rush to report the Bombers subsequent arrest has consumed all the oxygen in the room.

This is one of those rare moments when you might think someone is looking out for us… in a sad and twisted kind of way, but none the less…

Tonight I’m raising a glass to the Universe, which may be semi-benevolent after all.

So, I know this will seem like a very stupid question BUT – where can I or anyone find the full disclosure of a bill proposed to congress? We always hear about all the great things these bills will do if passed, but of course there is so much more to the story and the public is outraged when a seemingly common sense bill is not passed, yet if it were to pass there are also proposed laws in the bill that if they were passed – the public would still be outraged.

I have done a google search, but I never seem to find what I am looking for – basically the document itself that has all the stipulations/recommendations etc written in it regarding the actual bill. Is there a way we the public can actually see what is really proposed? The news stories, just give us the highlights and each political group is going to jump on a few words and then run with it, giving us their own translation, but I would like to be able to read the exact information for myself.

I should know this, but I get lost rummaging through all the information and thought you may have a good solid resource where I can find such information.
    Thanks.

Here’s the rub… Obama ran with a componant of his platform being transparency. He wrote in “Blueprint” that every bill would be posted for a minimum of 72 hours prior to being voted on. This has never occurred… even with full control of both houses for his first term by his party. I owuld recommend contacting your representative about what bills you are concerned with, or are hearing about. Otherwise you will be subject to “we have to pass the bill to see what’s in the bill”… which should be grounds to fire our public officials, but I digress.

Both links will be helpful, the second one is great – already found something I was interested in reading about. THough I will admit – this stuff is extremely boring to read, it is good to have it accessible and read it in small doses.
        Thanks.

our government loves to pass laws that cannot be enforced. look around you while driving. can you tell that it’s illegal to use your cell phone while you drive?

why pass “gun control” legislation that cannot be enforced?

because it was never about gun control or the safety of americans. it was about taking away another bit of liberty and freedom.

As we witness everyday, laws are never enforced uniformly. It is “illegal” for the President to not present a budget every year… yet it took him four years to craft one. It was horrible, but that’s not the point. Laws are created to do two things, one is to comfort the public with the idea that government has a handle on any given situation and the other is to have that law lay dormant until you’re ready to use it agaisnt those you disagree with. Once you start looking into what laws lay on the books unenforced it becomes truly appalling.
